Pilot Cove offered my family of 4 (plus dog) a wonderful experience at the doorstep to Pisgah and Brevard. Loved being close to the Hub and the food and coffee truck at the bottom of the hill were great. I enjoyed drinking an Americano from the coffee truck on my way into the Forest or after a long trail run on the Art Loeb trail. The walking trails on the property were the perfect place to walk the dog (though several downed trees cross the path). The house was simple but fit ours needs as we spent most of our time outdoors. Overall we loved Pilot Cove and will be back!

Cute little cabin in a peaceful spot just outside of Pisgah National Forrest. Close to delicious food trucks and even downtown Brevard. We were able to rest and enjoy equally with this stay.

The host called the day before to confirm everything with us . They also let us check in a little early and made our stay very enjoyable . The house was beautiful . The hill going down to the property and down to the lake were a little tough but it was beautiful and made it worth it all . We would stay again for sure .

Happy with my stay at Sammy’s place. The home was clean and had everything listed available. The main bed was comfortable and we slept well. The instruction for our stay were simple and clear. Sammy was quick with responses and friendly when we happened to meet him at the end of our stay. The home is right next to the boat ramp but we had no issues with people being loud and everyone was respectful of the property. Would definitely stay again should be be in the area in the future.

My husband and I recently stayed at Pilot Cove, seeking some much-needed relaxation and a chance to connect with nature. This retreat was everything we hoped for and more. The room was incredibly comfortable, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that made our stay truly rejuvenating. One of the highlights of our stay was the fully equipped kitchen. It was fantastic to have the option to cook our own meals, which not only added a homey feel to our stay but also helped us save money on dining out. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was a wonderful surprise. While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, there were a couple of areas for improvement. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the floors needed a good vacuuming. However, these were minor issues in the grand scheme of things. Overall, Pilot Cove provided us with a perfect getaway. We left feeling relaxed and reconnected with nature. We will definitely be returning and recommend it to others.

Was upset at first because they informed us the day of our arrival that the hottub broke but they were very caring and accommodated us for it and took action to fix it right away. The only thing is make sure you bring extra supplies like garbage bags, toilet paper, etc. as they only supply one of each. Also lots of geese droppings walking down to water but goes with being on a lake. Make sure you check your GPS settings so it doesn't take you backroads, learned that one. No garage so vehicle gets very hot, sunshade helps and deck is hot, no umbrella for shade to sit out at table. Overall beautiful place and Gunner was pleasant and pleasure to deal with any issues we had.

Lirio Woods was a great stay for my boyfriend and me! We appreciated the little details (i.e., pre-filled ice cube trays, laundry basket, room heaters, dryer balls for your down jackets, extra/sorted firewood, recycling bins, marked/lit parking space, etc.) that made the trip more comfortable and convenient. There were lots of helpful info cards for the amenities. The fireplace was already set up the night we checked into the stay. Although it only has a kitchenette, there were enough appliances and kitchenware to make meals and reheat leftovers--induction burner and toaster oven came in handy. The place was in a quiet location away from road noise but easy to venture into nearby towns. Thank you so much, Katie, for hosting us! We appreciated your excellent/efficient communication during our stay. Highly recommend staying at Lirio Woods!

This was my second time to stay at Pilot Cove this year and I will be back. The cabins are conveniently located and have everything you need. The minimal design is appealing as well. Great place to stay!

If you are looking for a place to stay in the area this is the place for you. It is very spacious with lots of room for everyone to have their own space or relax together in the front room. It is in a quiet area so you don’t have to worry about being woken up or bothered through the night or in morning. Don is also fantastic a responding to any questions you may have and making sure you have a great stay. If we come back I will be using Don again.

So beautiful property! Comfortable beds, huge, very well equipped kitchen with all you need to make breakfast, lunch or dinner. Will definitely stay again at this adorable place! Thank you Aaron!

Jennifer’s house is beautiful and comfortable with walking distance to the river and hiking trail near by. We enjoyed our stay.

This place is wonderful. Location is great for year round activities. You're just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, The Great Smokie Mtn Park, and a popular ski lodge, yet, you're in a nice quiet setting. I will say that this is on the side of a mountain and the roads are good, but your skills and vehicle need to be in tune with your surroundings. The unit itself was 5 star clean and Rebecca checked on us at least twice to make sure we were happy. I must say though, there is little to no closet space, so if you have a lot of stuff, this would be an issue. We travel light, so it was not a problem for us. And, although we didn't use it, a real working fireplace is a big plus for us. Check in and checkout is as about as easy as it can get also. If you are going to be in the area, I definitely recommend Rebecca.

Absolutely LOVED this cozy cabin. It was everything we wanted and needed for a lovely Christmas vacay especially the fireplace. Burned a great fire all day every day during our stay. Highly recommend this private, serene forest oasis and definitely plan to go back.

We came to this AirBnB for our yearly vacation and it was all we wanted and more! The area was beautiful and peaceful and it was the best AirBnB we’ve stayed in since we began our AirBnB vacations a few years ago. There was plenty of space for our group, and the home was more than accommodating. There was a private fishing area and the local Walmart helped us get set up with fishing licenses and provided information about local fish life and regulations. The hosts also left a wonderfully detailed binder with information about the nearby marina and places of interest, and a detailed map on how to get from the local marina back to the AirBnB! And a member of our friend group proposed at the nearby winery/vineyard! It was a 11/10 AirBnB and vacation, will definitely recommend and could not be more grateful to the hosts for the amazing stay!

Had the best time at this place. The dock and water access were perfect! Definitely look into renting this place - it worked really well for my sister and I! I would love to come back!

Amazing stay! House was beautiful, spotless. The deck was a dream- even on a rainy morning we were able to be outside - cozy and so relaxing. We loved being on such a peaceful cove. We took advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks provided. Great fun. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need! Rebecca even provided a book full of local recommendations for food and drinks- we tried several - all were fantastic. From start to finish Rebecca was communicative and helpful. We had a blast and would absolutely recommend!!

Great home, easy walk to downtown restaurants, and close to everything else in Waynesville. Beautiful home with every amenity, great appliances, and nice little touches!

Great choice for a peaceful stay. Cute house on beautiful property. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment. House is clean. Great for families that want to focus on quality time.

Awesome place to spend spring break with friends!

Our stay started off rocky with a huge mix up by Airbnb but Wendy was super responsive and did everything in her power to get the conflict resolved and was super helpful and responsive. I would recommend Wendy’s place and would stay here again! It was the perfect location, super peaceful and a gorgeous neighborhood!

The place is so quiet - exactly what we wanted. Each morning we watched the geese and each evening we watched the fireflies. The place is as described. Plenty of detailed information prior to check-in. Parking in the driveway right by the front door is so helpful No over powering scents or cleaners.

My stay was great! I got in late and she was super accommodating with allowing a late check in

Adam's house was a perfect home base for exploring the New River Gorge Bridge and surrounding areas. Private setting with quick access to the Long Point and Kaymoor Mines trailheads. Our kids took full advantage of the game room and yard games when we weren't out exploring. Overall we couldn't be happier with our stay!
