Cozy homey cottage in Idre with wood-fired hot tub, free WiFi, located near fishing waters, close to golf, snowmobile trails, 8 km to Idre mountain where there are many activities, the cottage is suitable for 4 people but there are 5 beds. Microwave, stove, oven, kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator with freezer, pillows, duvets are provided, bed linen and towels are included, the hot tub is rented by the host if you want to bathe, let us know when you arrive to take a few hours to fire up and the host will take care of everything. The 2-bed cottage is located in Storsätern, Grövelsjöfjällen right next to the river Grövlan. On the farm, there is also a 3-bed cottage for rent and the host couple Björn and Hanna also live there. The cottage includes kitchen, dining area, sleeping alcove, armchairs and bathroom with shower. The cottage is about 22 square meters and max 2 people (regardless of age). The cottage is booked for at least three nights and bed linen and towels are included. Please contact us if your calendar shows fewer than 3 consecutive nights to book.

This cozy and animal-free cabin ( 30 sqm) is located in Sågliden next to Grövelsjöfjällen and close to the Norwegian border. The cottage is in the middle of the quiet and quiet forest with alpacas as the nearest neighbor. Here you may relax and have only the nature around you. It is close to cross country tracks , alpine slopes like Grövelfjäll ( within a few kilometers) and Idre mountains ( 3.5 miles) , scooter tracks and mountain hiking. A small grocery store is in Storsätern about 6 km away.

The house is a modern holiday home from 2019, with large windows and unobstructed views. Detached sauna, hot tub and possibility of swimming in Olån can be found at the "spa department".

Secluded Cottage - Close to Village; Easy Life Close to Nature

Wonderful, authentic and very functional cabin that has everything you need. Dry wood (the pine smells awesome), good wood processing equipment, well functional and intuitive stoves (if you have experience of wood fired stoves, and if you don’t there are good descriptions) made it easy to stay warm and dry, even in -20oC. I arrived with -10 and had the cabin at +24oC in just a few hours. The cabin can get too hot quickly, so use the firewood with care. I only used the wood fired stove for cooking during the week I stayed so I can’t comment on the gas stove. In early February, the sun was a bit too low to supply my computer with much power (only a couple hours worth each day). 5G connectivity via Telia made internet smooth though. Bring a head lamp and working gloves (and candles, toilet paper and matches). The owner of the friendly reindeer in the pen let me know they love ”knäckebröd” (Leksands preffered…).

I worked remotely for a month and Stefan's home was perfect for this. Good desk (sitting and standing), good monitor, lots of space, nice bathroom, sauna and fast internet. 5 minutes away from the ski pistes. I really enjoyee my stay here! Stefan is responsive and a good host.

Perfect location in the middle of ski tracks and hiking routes (and slopes, if you are into those). Easy and attentive communication; the host responds within minutes. Wonderful view over the forest from the sauna and the living room. Strongly recommended!

Fresh and pleasant accommodation in a cottage in Idre. Good with kitchen equipment, luxurious with two bathrooms and sauna. Comfortable beds and good storage space. A bit dull neighborhood as there is still construction work and the gravel around the houses was coarse and the area was perceived as cold. Unfortunately, a little problem with the heat in the house, but we got nice help from the host. However, it lowers the rating a little because we had to put on some extra clothes, especially in the morning when the temperature dropped during the night. Close to Idre center, Nipfjället etc.

A dream house! It was a wonderful week in these very nice and tastefully decorated house! Kitchen very well equipped, everything works well. It's a great pleasure to cook! Large bathroom with double shower and warm tiles in bright colors. Several outdoor seating areas. Good location in bright pine forest with a view to Femunden. Very quiet with short road to Femundstrand. Cozy to sit by the fireplace tonight! The house was warm when I arrived. Owner has responded very quickly and was very friendly and uncomplicated. More opportunities for (ski and foot) trips. Shop in Elgå has everything you need... There you definitely have to come again!!
