Less than two miles from the Big Stone Lake boat landing, we are easy access to the best Perch fishing in the area. Ortonville is a cozy little town amidst the farm fields of west Minnesota, right on the border with South Dakota. We accomodate up to four people on four extra-long twin beds. We have seating, wifi, a TV, coffee pot, refridgerator, microwave, and self-check-in. *Our bathroom is EXTERNAL, is a shared bathroom with other guests on the property, and requires a slight walk. * Welcome!

Little Mill Road House

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. You can jump on a bike or take a walk on the tarred path located right across the road that leads into the Big Stone Refuge. Ortonville has Big Stone Lake great for fishing and our area is also awesome for hunting. We do allow pets but if left by themselves in the house please kennel them. There is one bedroom with a queen size bed and a murphy bed and futon in the living room. Plenty of parking for boats, trailers, etc.

The bathroom is spacious with plenty of hot water, and the kitchen boasts one of the most complete sets of utensils and cookware I’ve seen at an Airbnb—perfect for cooking enthusiasts. The bedroom is generously sized, and the bed is exceptionally comfortable. Spotlessly clean throughout, the home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood with friendly walkers and bikers. Conveniently located near major highways and just a short drive to I-29, with ample off-street parking and a Walmart Supercenter only six minutes away.

Overall everything was good and lots to do. Except all the stairs, which was mentioned in their listing and was expected. We enjoyed the paddle board, kayaks, and lots of fishing. Sunsets were on point - they were so beautiful!

This was a great location with a boat lift right on the lake that made for excellent ease for our fishing trip! Bring chairs for bonfire and your own water to drink. As for the house itself, the photos make it look better than it really is inside, but fine for a group of guys just there to fish.

Great location for hiking at Big Stone Lake State Park and the National Wildlife Refuge. Very close to the headwaters of the MN River too. The lake is just across the street too so would be a great location if you want to do some boating or fishing too. The beds were comfortable and the space was just what we needed for two adults and a baby.
