the house and garden made an ideal location for a family celebration. made for a fabulous time. loved the coffee machine and arga and bbq. great space, very homely.

Lovely stay. House was spotless and very spacious. The estate has great facilities (pool, spa, tennis courts, etc) and we loved having access to the lake for paddle boarding. Would recommend the private chef from Ballihoo on the estate. Alasdair was a very helpful and responsive host.

We had a lovely time at calm waters, the house is beautiful… the pictures don’t do it justice! The best thing about the house was the rooftop that gave us somewhere to sit in the sun all day, whereas other houses in the lake only benefited from morning or afternoon sun. A very comfortable clean spacious place to stay with full range of facilities and wonderful hot tub. A great scenic outlook over the lake and easy walking access to the spa close by.

Very enjoyable stay. Jan and team were very responsive throughout our stay. The villa was fantastic, beautiful rooms, spacious and lovely view over the lake. Would definitely consider coming again in the future, and the family all loved the place!

This property is amazing for all ages - we celebrated a birthday here and had the best time. The property is large enough that everyone has their own space but cosy enough that you still feel “together”. The location is beautiful and we made use of the pool and the lake. Lots of stubbing places to see locally and plenty of great restaurants. Recommend!!

Oldbury Barn is in a lovely location in the countryside with great views (though tricky to find, so the 'what3words' helped a lot!). The house was nicely presented and lovely and clean. Plenty of pots, pans, mugs (!) utensils etc for a large family group. The open plan nature of the kitchen/diner/lounge is great for a multi generational family gathering like ours, as you are always all together in one huge room. However, note that its a tiled floor and there isn't much in the way of soft furnishings so noise echoes around a bit and can be heard from all bedrooms - but this is only a problem if you have very young kids going to bed early or getting up early! The 2 ground floor bedrooms are large and with lots of storage. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are small with very low ceilings and little storage - fine for kids but we were were 7 adults and one toddler, so that didnt work brilliantly for us . The "slight height restriction" in the description is quite an understatement!!

A beautiful bright spacious modern house with wonderful views across the lake. It is just like the pictures or even better. The lounge and bedrooms are so comfortable and the kitchen is wonderfully equipped with everything you need. Communication was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here.

The perfect stay for a family of 6 adults, a toddler, and a dog! We had such a beautiful stay, (just wish we had had better weather!). The house is spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Thanks so much again!

Lucy & Len were lovely people we knew they were around if you had a problem but we never did would definitely use this one again the added bonus of the pool and gym was great and the breakfast in the Dolphin was well worth the short walk into the village .

My boyfriend and I spent the weekend at the manor for a belated celebration of my birthday. We were immediately drawn to the various activities on offer and the location as it’s close to Bredon Hill. We were warmly welcomed by the family and shown to our beautifully decorated room, which overlooked the lake. As a lovely touch, we we’re even treated to some hand baked biscuits. All in all, our stay was very relaxing and we will definitely book again in the future

Such a fabulous place to stay, it’s a little like visiting a National Trust property and actually staying there. The rooms are delightful and the grounds are stunning. Very private. We stayed in the main house. There were other guests in some of the other cottages, but the amenities (tennis, pool and table tennis) are such that you can bump into people if you want or have total privacy. They do have other activities that are pay to play, such as hot tub, sauna and fire pit, and the walk up to the tower is glorious. This place would be incredible to have your wedding there. We would definitely recommend.
