Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Berks County

I had an excellent experience! The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect for our trip to the Zoo Fantastic host—communicative, responsive, and clearly cares about making guests feel welcome. The check-in process was smooth, and I appreciated the small touches like snacks, a guidebook, etc I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a great stay!

My stay was very comfortable. Everything was clearly labeled and defined (Mark makes great use of his label maker - lol) The stay included complementary breakfast fixings with a neat grill for building breakfast sandwiches. Great follow-through and text communication for any questions. My only complaint is my stay was too short.

This house was perfect for our stay. Was very easily accessible with our truck and trailer.

We were in the area for a multi-day event, so we did not get to take advantage of all of the area's and home's offerings, but the house itself and all of the thought the host put into the details were wonderful. Mike had walking sticks with flashlights hung by the door, blaze orange vests and hats in the coat closet, s'mores ingredients on-hand, just to name a few of the perfect cabin-in-the-woods touches. I enjoyed reading a bit of The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America : ) Lots of books on the bookshelves for readers. My bed was very comfortable. You will be staying in an antique cabin in the woods with a wood-burning fireplace, but all of the areas that need to be clean for guests (counters, bathroom, bedding, etc.) were clean. Thank you for a great place to stay while in the area!

We loved Katrina’s house! It was so charming and beautiful! It was centrally located to stores and restaurants. We really enjoyed the home made bread and cookies! It was the best place we’ve stayed yet!! It will be hard to beat!! We would love to come back!!!

KinderHawk Schoolhouse was absolutely perfect. My husband and I were looking for a peaceful place to unwind from our busy lives. This place delivered. The schoolhouse itself is quaint and charming. It has everything and more. The welcome basket was very appreciated. The surroundings are beautiful. We spent a lot of time on the patio watching the farm animals at the farm across the street and bird watching. We enjoyed the outside fire pit and also the indoor fireplace on the cool evenings. We hiked Hawk mountain which is 2 miles up the road. It has spectacular views. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. I wish we stayed longer. I can’t say enough good things about it.

We stayed here for a micro-honeymoon the night after our wedding. We mostly just wanted some time with each other and to relax and recover. David's place was perfect. The fancy bathroom was exactly what we needed, and the kitchen was well equipped for me to cook dinner for my wife. It felt like some actual love and thought was put into making the space nice.

Such an amazing place! It truly felt like home. It was a perfect in-between spot for visiting with friends in Ephrata and Reading. The bed was comfy and the coffee was good. As if that wasn’t enough, the location was beautiful and peaceful. I will definitely be back when visiting in the area again!

We had a peaceful and relaxing time at the farmhouse. The suite was beautiful and the view was gorgeous. We enjoyed waking up to see animals and a beautiful sunrise. The porch area was a nice cozy place to relax.

Maxine and Ernest were wonderful hosts during my extended stay for work. Their property is beautiful and the perfect place to clear your mind after a long day!

I definitely enjoyed my stay and I would like to thank James for their straightforward communication and amazing home. I especially liked how spacious the kitchen is and how easy it was to check-in. If I ever plan another stay in Reading, I will most likely end up here again at James’ home. Book a stay, I’d say it’s worth it. Thanks again James!

Very Welcoming environment, small with nice views

I highly recommend Franklyn’s place for overnight stays in Reading. First, Franklyn called ahead to know when I’d be arriving and then greeted me himself upon arrival. He was very friendly and we enjoyed a nice chat. The place included all that was advertised. There was plenty of space and the rooms/beds were comfortable. Moreover, the price is competitive with the hotels in the area. The location is basically downtown and generally safe. A lot of what Reading has to offer is in walking distance. I also highly recommend Franklyn’s restaurant, Franklyn’s Breakfast Burgers & Shakes for any meal of the day but breakfast especially. Overall, if I found myself traveling to Reading again, I would stay at this location again.

This is our second time staying here and we would love to come back again!! The pool table is in great condition, the hot tub was great and the outdoor space was so relaxing. The hosts are super friendly and we loved everything about the property. Highly recommended

This is at least our third time here and it's literally perfect! The place is even nicer than the pictures. Absolutely immaculate and if you ever have any issues, just text, and you will get a response likety split. Thanks again SO much!!!

I gave this home a 5 star rating because it was a very beautiful home that worked very well for my family . The plus points were the beautiful home , plenty of parking , lots of activities for all ages , lovely yard & very responsive host however there were some problems like some appliances in the main kitchen weren’t working and the media are dated . However we were able to use the second kitchen . The host did respond in a timely manner .

Qaiss’s place was a wonderful villa. It was very clean and spacious. My daughter graduated from a nearby school. So we had a few friends over. The celebration was awesome. My friends were raving about how wonderful the place was. Thanks Qaiss. Would definitely stay again.
