Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Berat

Very friendly & helpful hosts who made me a meal & fresh oranges from the trees. beautiful property, it wasn't really my style but that's my fault for booking what is obviously a traditional Albanian house. Also, I had a bad back injury upon arriving so had to cut my stay short & just go to a modern hotel instead to recover & be closer to a physical therapist. This home is perfect for a family who wants the real Berat experience.

Very good location, close to restaurants and the center. The self-check-in was convenient, and there was enough space for a big group. The lady downstairs was lovely. Parking is very hard to find and challenging due to narrow streets. But Overall, a great place!

You will be warmly greeted at the bottom of the street and led to the house. The location is quiet, we especially liked the turtles in the front yard. The host was extremely friendly and helpful.

Had amazing stay, everything was just perfey.

We absolutely loved staying here - the house was exactly as described - even better actually! It was super clean, comfortable and had everything you could need (kitchen equipment, washing machine, bedding, towels etc)…The thought and care which has gone into making it a good home for guests really shines through. The pool and outside surroundings were beautiful - the pool was super clean and had lots of great floaties which our children loved. We were two families (7 in total) and we had lots of space and felt right at home. Valentino and his family are just divine! So friendly and hospitable - we were made to feel like family! We would love to stay again. It’s an easy 15 minute drive to Berat. We really will miss this wonderful home and family. Recommend staying here without a doubt - you’ll love it!

An experience! In a historic house in the middle of the old town of Berat. Grandiose view from the balcony! One bedroom has only a skylight (cannot be opened or darkened). Parking is best in the supermarket underground car park (€8/day), from there it is about a 5-7 min walk. Dori welcomed us and brought us closer to the history of the house. There were also tips for the surrounding area. We really enjoyed it!

Incredible location in the heart of the citadel. The garden is really very nice and the view from the windows was superb. Small downside with the very noisy water distribution system that can make living with several people complicated.

Astrit’s place in Berat was the perfect blend of comfort and tradition. The hospitality was incredible, the views breathtaking, and it truly felt like a home away from home. I’m grateful for the unforgettable experience!

Jonida's apartment was briefly summarized: very good! In the immediate vicinity, there was a well-stocked supermarket, a bakery and some cafés/bars that are mainly visited by the residents in the area. The center of Berat was a good 10 minutes' walk away. We can fully recommend Jonida's apartment!!!

traveled from uk. found this to be a great place. had 2 night stay. flat is lovely. Good air-conditioning and shutters on window. showers worked well. we parked close by and walked to property. it is up several flights of stairs. we gave a rough eta and when we arrived their was someone waiting to let us in. the location is perfect to explore the area. had a great stay and restaurant opposite does a good breakfast too. great host. would recommend.

The apartment was very nice and spacious. The area was quiet with everything you need in the vicinity and only a 20 minute walk from the old town. Klaeda was a great host and very responsive, I would definitely stay there again.

The apartment is exactly as described in the pictures. An absolutely tastefully decorated bedroom, a clean bathroom and a separate room with 2 more beds (which we did not use). Towels were also on the spot. The directions have been very helpful to help us to find the place. You approach from the backyard. We just waited a little, then a cousin of the host came and even helped us park. Absolutely helpful! A nice lady then opened the apartment for us and explained everything to us. The apartment is on the 3rd floor - please don't be put off by the weird backyard and entrance area. The location is absolutely great and everything is within walking distance. We were only passing through there for one night, but can confidently recommend it. Everything great!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at Ona’s place! From the moment I booked, she was incredibly friendly and quick to respond to all my questions. She was always just a message away, and her responses were lightning-fast. The property was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. And it is right in the heart of city close to the town and i would recommend it for sure.

Staying in this apartment was an amazing experience. Elona and her parents were incredibly friendly and welcoming - some of the best hosts we’ve ever encountered on Airbnb. Their hospitality was outstanding, and they made us feel right at home. The apartment itself was immaculate - everything was super clean and well-maintained. Getting there was also straightforward. From Tirana, you can take a bus to Berat from the South and North Bus Terminal in the north of the city. Bus line 5/B from the city center will get you there easily. The buses run regularly, and the trip takes about 2 hours. Once in Berat, it’s a short city bus ride to Elona’s place. Overall, this was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had. Highly recommended!

Lovely apartment and lovely host!

Great place, we liked our stay both in the flat and in Berat

We spent two nights at Persida's place. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by her parents. The view and the terrace are magnificent. We also got fresh fruit and the next morning we were even surprised with Börek for breakfast. The accommodation is located directly at the castle with a beautiful view over Berat. It's only a 10 minute walk to the city. However, the climb is very steep, which is why we took a taxi at 35 degrees Celsius. In terms of price, the trip was €8.

I was very happy to have spent a few days here away from the tourist crowds. Communication 10/10, Lueni's parents sell vegetables in front of the house, although they do not understand English, they are very loving and helpful (and of course provide fresh fruit and vegetables). Those who want to visit the old town can reach it on a leisurely walk. Bakery, supermarket, gym, cafés, ... all right on the doorstep.
