Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Berat

Very friendly & helpful hosts who made me a meal & fresh oranges from the trees. beautiful property, it wasn't really my style but that's my fault for booking what is obviously a traditional Albanian house. Also, I had a bad back injury upon arriving so had to cut my stay short & just go to a modern hotel instead to recover & be closer to a physical therapist. This home is perfect for a family who wants the real Berat experience.

Bon séjour, l’endroit est paisible. L’hôte nous a gardé une place pour nous garer. Nous avons chaleureusement été accueillis par Elvira avec divers produits locaux. Nous recommandant ce logement pour une expérience authentique. 😊

We absolutely loved staying here - the house was exactly as described - even better actually! It was super clean, comfortable and had everything you could need (kitchen equipment, washing machine, bedding, towels etc)…The thought and care which has gone into making it a good home for guests really shines through. The pool and outside surroundings were beautiful - the pool was super clean and had lots of great floaties which our children loved. We were two families (7 in total) and we had lots of space and felt right at home. Valentino and his family are just divine! So friendly and hospitable - we were made to feel like family! We would love to stay again. It’s an easy 15 minute drive to Berat. We really will miss this wonderful home and family. Recommend staying here without a doubt - you’ll love it!

Ein Erlebnis! In einem historischen Haus mitten in der Altstadt von Berat. Grandiose Aussicht vom Balkon! Ein Schlafzimmer hat nur ein Oberlicht (kann nicht geöffnet oder abgedunkelt werden). Parken am besten in der Supermarkt-Tiefgarage (8€/Tag), von dort sind es ca 5-7 min zu Fuß. Dori hat uns empfangen und uns die Geschichte des Hauses näher gebracht. Zudem gab es Tipps für die Umgebung. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen!

This is the place to stay if you are visiting Berat! The place itself is very easy to find, and is historic and beautiful. Matilda and her family are the best hosts, welcoming us warmly with delicious traditional desserts and homemade Raki! The beds are so comfortable, and the nights are calm and peaceful. It is so worth it to stay in the castle walls; lots to do, see, and incredible views from restaurants just steps away. We so appreciate the time spent here for our honeymoon and would definitely choose this place again! Highly highly recommend.

Emplacement incroyable en plein coeur de la citadelle. Le jardin est vraiment très agréable et la vue depuis les fenêtres était superbe. Petit bémol avec le système de distribution d'eau très bruyant qui peut rendre la cohabitation à plusieurs compliquée.

Bardzo dobry kontakt z miłymi gospodarzami. Blisko sklepy, restauracje, Stare Miasto i inne atrakcje. Dzieci zadowolone - mogły się pobawić z małym kotem. Trudno było im wyjechać z tego miejsca. Czuliśmy się jak domownicy.

Die Wohnung von Jonida war kurz und knapp zusammengefasst: sehr gut! In unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft waren ein gut sortierter Supermarkt, ein Bäcker und einige Cafés/Bars die vorwiegend von den Bewohnern in der Umgebung besucht werden. Das Zentrum von Berat lag fußläufig gut 10 Minuten entfernt. Wir können die Wohnung von Jonida uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen!!!

traveled from uk. found this to be a great place. had 2 night stay. flat is lovely. Good air-conditioning and shutters on window. showers worked well. we parked close by and walked to property. it is up several flights of stairs. we gave a rough eta and when we arrived their was someone waiting to let us in. the location is perfect to explore the area. had a great stay and restaurant opposite does a good breakfast too. great host. would recommend.

The apartment was very nice and spacious. The area was quiet with everything you need in the vicinity and only a 20 minute walk from the old town. Klaeda was a great host and very responsive, I would definitely stay there again.

Die Kommunikation mit Ervis war super. Er war erreichbar, der Check-In und die Hilfe bei der Parkplatzsuche waren super und die Wohnung ist sehr schön und hat eine super Lage. Einziges Manko ist die Lautstärke der unten liegenden Bars, also unbedingt Oropax mitnehmen.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at Ona’s place! From the moment I booked, she was incredibly friendly and quick to respond to all my questions. She was always just a message away, and her responses were lightning-fast. The property was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. And it is right in the heart of city close to the town and i would recommend it for sure.

Staying in this apartment was an amazing experience. Elona and her parents were incredibly friendly and welcoming - some of the best hosts we’ve ever encountered on Airbnb. Their hospitality was outstanding, and they made us feel right at home. The apartment itself was immaculate - everything was super clean and well-maintained. Getting there was also straightforward. From Tirana, you can take a bus to Berat from the South and North Bus Terminal in the north of the city. Bus line 5/B from the city center will get you there easily. The buses run regularly, and the trip takes about 2 hours. Once in Berat, it’s a short city bus ride to Elona’s place. Overall, this was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had. Highly recommended!

Super séjour l’appartement était propre et agréable. Seul bémol : un peu bruyant la nuit mais ce n’est pas la faute de l’hôte. Merci pour cette nuit !

Great place, we liked our stay both in the flat and in Berat

Wir haben zwei Nächte bei Persida verbracht. Bei unserer Anreise wurden wir herzlich von ihren Eltern empfangen. Der Ausblick und die Terrasse aind herrlich. Frisches Obst haben wir auch bekommen und am nächsten Morgen wurden wir sogar mit Börek zum Frühstück überrascht. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Schloss mit einem schönen Blick über Berat. Zu Fuß sind es nur 10 Minuten bis in die Stadt. Der Anstieg ist allerdings sehr steil, weshalb wir bei 35 Grad Celsius dann doch ein Taxi genommen haben. Preislich lag die Fahrt bei 8 €.

Ich war sehr froh hier ein paar Tage abseits des Tourismus verbracht zu haben. Kommunikation 10/10, Luenis Eltern verkaufen vor dem Haus Gemüse, verstehen zwar kein Englisch sind aber sehr liebevoll und hilfsbereit (und versorgen natürlich mit frischem Obst und Gemüse). Wer in die Altstadt möchte, kann diese in einem gemütlichen Spaziergang erreichen. Bäckerei, Supermarkt, Fitnessstudio, Cafés,... alles direkt vor der Haustüre.
