Private Luxurious Ms Helen's Down Under, once home to band practice and poker games now tastefully updated with modern decor and comfortable surroundings. This is the updated basement with its own separate entrance, bath, kitchen and Laundry room in my home. There is almost 700 sq feet to use or if you need a private getaway or crash pad. Loft style, their is no door on the bedroom. We do not block days at all in if it shows not available it isn't. We do not allow pets as host is allergic.

Amazing handcrafted cabin located in the center of the "Roanoke Triple Crown" (McAfee's Knob, tinker cliffs and dragons tooth trails) just minutes from each trail head. Cabin is tucked away from everything. No other houses can be seen from the cabin. The cabin overlooks a beautiful pond with a small waterfall cascading in. Cabin was sustainability built with trees from the 20 acres it sits on. McAfee's Knob trailhead is 10 minutes away, Andy Layne trailhead to tinker cliffs is 9 minutes away.

Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. This home was set up perfectly for an airbnb. There is a lot of care in making sure you are provided with everything you need. All the beds were super comfortable- which is so important! The bathroom and kitchen were stocked with everything you need. The decor is super homey. If I make it back to the Roanoke area, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything !

We had an amazing stay at Dave’s place for my VT graduation. The house is stunning, with every detail thoughtfully considered during the renovation. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I’m now inspired to buy the same couch for my own home. The location is perfect—just a 13-minute drive to downtown Roanoke and 35 minutes to VT. Plus, there's a grocery store nearby for any essentials. Dave was excellent with communication, making our stay even more enjoyable. We loved the fire pit and were delighted by the deer visitors. Highly recommend!!!

Super cute place and easy parking. Kitchen had everything you need and more!! My husband loved the coffee bar! Brought our dog and he always had at meat one - three cats that lived outside to want to chase. Ha. I would say bring toilet paper and paper towels if you go through a lot. We were not provided a full roll. Less than a half on the roll and less than a half if you ran out of that. We got some toilet paper at a local grocery store. Lots of rules for the house, so make sure you review. We didn’t have a problem with any of them though. Would stay here again! We ate at Bernard’s gastropub and eatery downtown. Omg. Best seafood!! Highly recommend.

What a beautiful home! Nice private setting yet close to everything! The home was perfect for our family while attending a wedding in Roanoke. The kitchen was well stocked, the home was very clean, multiple bathrooms, lots of space and a very nice backyard to enjoy sitting and cooking. We would highly recommend this home! Thankyou for allowing us to stay!
