House holiday rentals in Benenden

This is the second time we have stayed at Corrina’s holiday home and once again we found it to be squeaky clean, very well equipped, peaceful and a great location. The garden is home to a family of foxes, who were so confident, that they sunbathed on the lawn whilst we were sitting on the veranda. Corrina made us aware of check in details in very good time and left a number just in case we needed assistance, which I’m happy to say we didn’t need. The surrounding area is so lush and green, this time of year, and there is always plenty of interesting things to do nearby. We will visit again next year, but hopefully for longer this time. Thank you.

I stayed here with my wider family and dogs and it was perfect for a group of our size over the Easter weekend! Great for hosting, and not so perfect that you worry about breaking everything! Felt very homely and lovely - shame we were too early to use the pool!!

We enjoyed a 3 day mini break at the Calf Shed cottage with our 2 children and dog. The cottage itself was nice with open plan kitchen and comfy seating area, and a private garden area which was great for the kids and dog. A big bonus was the heated pool with stunning views. The weather was not great but the heated pool meant we could still use it, which is a short walk from the cottage. The kids also enjoyed the trampoline and table tennis. The main barn was not rented during our stay which meant we had sole use of the pool and play equipment. There was no welcome pack/booklet however the host Alison was quick to respond to questions (wifi password, bin locations, etc). Other comments is the double bed was actually 2 single beds which the kids commandeered and signs of wear and tear here and there. However overall a pleasant trip.

We absolutely loved our stay and will be booking again. The space was clean, warm and very spacious up and downstairs. The design and decor was on another level. We couldn’t get over the beautiful chandelier. We were greeted with fruits and milk on arrival in the large kitchen. Ahead of our journey we were given clear directions to the property. Access was easy and there were clear instructions for the sauna, pool etc. We used the sauna daily. It’s was huge and looked brand new. We were be able to watch the kids swim in the pool from the sauna. The kids absolutely loved the pool and took every opportunity day and night to swim. It really was a bonus to have our own pool. 5 of us stayed for a week and there was enough space in the fridge and freezer for all of our food. I have already recommended the space to my friends.

The barn was beautiful, we had such a lovely stay. The decor was stunning and there was lots of special touches that made our stay more comfortable. Michelle was very good at communicating with us and the main owner of the barn met us on out first day and gave us lots of useful information regarding the barn the sites and walks around the area. We would definitely love to come back in the future.

Great accommodation! Clean and spacious. Everything has been thought about. Quick response to communication and very easy check in and check out.

This was our second visit to the Lighthouse and it still is an amazing place, from the panoramic sea views to a lovely warm inviting home. A dip in the pool before breakfast, sitting with a coffee watching the seascape, as far as Essex and beyond, sunsets and so much more. I will make the same comment as I did last, this goes for the whole of our party across 3 generations and the dogs, the only bad thing about the Lighthouse is having to leave. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

Completely 10/10 great location gorgeous house lovely host great value so homely could not have asked for any more. Very very grateful for a perfect get away xxx

We had a lovely time staying in this charming cottage which. The rooms were very comfortable and It was very peaceful at night with a lovely view from the beautiful garden to watch dusk approach. There is an old local pub four doors down which serves very good food. There was a folder left on the kitchen side of the many places of interest to go and visit especially for families. We had a fabulous time and wouldn’t hesitate recommending a stay here.

What a great base for exploring the many beautiful gardens, estates and castles in the area as well as Rye and its beach. Kate is a really communicative host and her little house has everything you need …… including a peaceful view over fields at the back with ( when we were there) the added bonus of inquisitive sheep. The village itself is cute and the local pub is just around the corner and a great place for a drink in the last rays of the sun and a quality meal. Recommend it.

Had a lovely stay at this Airbnb, the hosts were very friendly and the home was lovely. The jacuzzi and bbq were great amenities :)

We head down to the Sussex coast for a family weekend. It was built around a gift of a visit to Tillingham winery. Castle Fort matched our expectations perfectly…. Sea views and sounds, huge open planning living area, very appointed…. A home from home by the sea It was practically perfect. We had one small hiccup. I think we were the first guests for quite a while and the water system pressure was low, which challenged us on the first night but Georgina stepped up and we solved the problem This is a perfect spot if you want to explore the delights of Rye, what a find Very comfortable with everything you could ever want in a holiday let Definitely will return

Lovely guest house with spacious garden and access to a communal hot tub. Sarah was a great host and always checked in with me despite being out the country at the time. A lovely house in a lovely location, if you like walks, vineyards and a trip to the beach! A little challenging if you don’t have a car but we still managed ok with various taxi companies available in the area, but best to pre-book your trips just in case. There is a pub and shop across the road so you won’t get stuck for provisions! Very responsive host, would recommend.

We had a wonderful holiday at Toasty Oasty. Heather made us feel so welcome. There was a lovely hamper waiting for us when we arrived which was a treat. The house was clean and well equipped, with everything we needed. Heather was really responsive and helpful when I had questions. The location is beautiful - so nice to wake up to birdsong and the sun over the lake. There is plenty to do nearby which kept our young children occupied. Thank you for a really happy stay!

Fantastic property in a lovely location that is convenient for lots of Kent and East Sussex. Our family - including dog - had a great stay and we'd love to come back. We'd also happily recommend it to others.

Great location in quiet lane just off main road. Very peaceful setting either lovely views. Own patio area nice to sit in the sun and sun room also lovely. Accommodation had everything we needed and Maggs & Hanes were very accommodating and flexible and friendly. Particularly haloed ensure my elderly mom’s needs were met. Accommodation very well equipped for elderly person to easily get about. Very spacious and sofa bed comfortable too. Couldn’t ask for better. Great location too for visiting all the beautiful surrounding sites of interest.

We had a lovely four night stay with our kids. The gardens were very special and we especially enjoyed the outside BBQ and dining space. The house is in a wonderful setting - very peaceful and right next to the train station to Rye and Hastings (ideal if you don't love country roads).

Just stayed one night for a family gathering nearby. Perfect for what we needed but could see it would be a good base for visiting that part of Kent or as a stop over if you were heading for the Channel. The decking area was a real bonus to enjoy drinks/meals in the sunshine. When sitting outside, the traffic noise from the nearby motorway is noticeable to start with, but quickly fades as you become accustomed to it.

lovely detached house right on the seafront. The terrace has stunning sea views and great sunsets. The 5 bedrooms are all very nice and offer some flexibility with twins and doubles. We loved the seaside themed decor and nice touches like blankets. Nice host who gave very clear instructions. very clean and the kitchen was well stocked.

The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and Helen is a fantastic host, easy to communicate with and very helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and stay again

The house is stunning, the layout is perfect and was spotless. Level 1 kitchen/lounge/outdoor balcony. Level 2 bedrooms. Level 3 attic room with chairs, binoculars and great views (each level has great views!) We were a group of 4 although if 8, the size and layout would have allowed us to have our own space. The bedrooms, 2 with en-suites, a large family bathroom and all with sea views. Watching sunrise over the ocean and the dawn morning bird chorus transported me to tropical holiday vibes. The house overlooks gardens, bluebells and iris were in bloom. Down the house steps and after about 50 metres you are on the sea wall/beach. Jo and Andrew have been great hosts, great communication prior to our trip and provided a welcome pack of really useful local information, thank you for the snacks and wine. Relaxing on the balcony, watching the ocean and world go by was the perfect way to start the trip. If I ever return to Hastings, first stop would be to try and rebook this AirBNB

Spent 6 pleasant days at Littleshaw Cottage. Although we went in June the evenings were chilly but the underfloor heating in the cottage kept us warm. All the things we needed, and more, for a comfortable stay were provided. We felt very secure in the cottage as it is in the private grounds of the main house behind a gated driveway. This was our first visit to Kent and there is so much to see. If we returned for another holiday we would like to stay here again.
