Family-friendly holiday rentals in Belize

Matthews place was perfect! Great location, easy to get around with a golf cart. The home is beautiful, well laid out. Pool was a hit and roof top patio was really cool! The view of the lagoon is beautiful from all areas of the house. We had everything that we needed. Terri is an incredible host! We were very well taken care of, Terri arranged tours, golf carts, ferry tickets, and gave us helpful advice and recommendations. Terri really made our time in San Pedro extra special! If you want to go on a snorkel trip or go fishing make sure you look up Captain Bigz! He was fantastic!

Great location and the host was very friendly and responded fast, connected us to people on the island so we had someone nearby to contact and to give us a ride from the boat to the room.

Expectations were exceeded. This location cannot be beat. we will definitely be booking again. The rooftop hot tub was gorgeous/relaxing and so was the balcony. Thank you for a wonderful vacation getaway.

This condo was great! Management was very helpful with assisting us with planning activities and meals. Be aware that the location is a bit away from Placencia village and will require a golf cart or car. We were a bit nervous driving the golf cart after dark, so used a taxi service for dinners. Taxis are a bit expensive. Be aware that there are sandflies on the beach, particularly around sunset, they were a minor annoyance, but be sure to have bug repellant on, when walking the beach, this is an issue all across Belize. This was our homebase for activities in the area, which included a visit to Cockscomb, Ranguana Caye and fishing. (They picked us up and delivered us with a pile of fish at the Cocoplum dock). We enjoyed meals, lounging and drinks on the beach right next door at the Naia resort. I am a photographer and enjoyed the cool mornings on the patio taking photos of beautiful birds right from the patio. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back.

Couldn’t have asked for a better location in Caye Caulker. The proximity to the water taxi, restaurants, and activities was such a plus. We used and enjoyed all the amenities, loved the views and slept comfortably. Five stars, will definitely stay here again in the future.

I knew right away Maruba Resort was going to be off the charts when I booked our stay. From the moment we were picked up at the airport I felt at home. Upon arrival...only 50 minutes from the airport on a nice road we were greeted by the friendly staff and felt in awe as we walked through the gates and down the path to the restauranut / lounge. The jungle was all around and Maruaba's beauty blends in with their design and care to the grounds. Around every corner was a hidden detail of craftsmanship. Truly a remarkable place and alot of time went into making this resort the way it is. Our room was top of the line with a built in hot tub, lounge, bluetooth speakers, excellent lighting, I could go on and on. I can't wait to come back and stay with Franziska at the Maruba Resort!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It is an area of Belize we hadn't really been before but it was great to experience. The house was neat and clean and exactly as described. The views are beautiful and the seclusion is peaceful. The only thing I would note was, the walls do not go all the way to the ceiling so that makes it hard for some people to stay up and some to sleep. It does help with cooling the house though. Other than that it had everything we needed. We saw so many birds including 12 green parrots at one point and a flock of 8 parakeets. We saw the monkeys from the deck off in the distance. We evens saw a croc down the street at the river. We also booked a tour to the ATM cave through them and it was wonderful being picked right up at the house and taken there. We rented a car but didn't want to worry about rising early and finding our way there. We would definitely stay here again.

The Seaside Villas were perfect for our family of four. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub daily. Bobbi was extremely responsive if we had any questions. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend staying at The Seaside Villas. Caye Caulker was beautiful, the perfect relaxing beach vacation spot!

Loved my stay! I was traveling alone and felt very safe here, Diana and Crystal were welcoming and fantastic hostesses. They’re very friendly and provided great advice and instructions for the area. The room was lovely, nestled in the top of their trees as pictured with a great variety of birds that were fun and relaxing to watch. The room was as pictured, you may see a gecko or an ant but that’s to be expected in this location. Thank you very much Diana and Crystal for sharing your beautiful space!

Very private at the end of the island, dock and pool were very nice features and appreciated the snorkeling gear and kayaks!

We had a fantastic stay! We were the only ones renting at the time, making it quite lovely to have the place ourselves. Emily is a fantastic cook, so I recommend planning at least a few meals through the host. If you do your own food, plan your meals (the host can take you shopping before leaving) because it costs for the boat ride to get more supplies. Belle and Bruno were the best four-legged hosts, so if you love large dogs, you will enjoy them as we did. They swim out to play with the dolphins pretty much daily! Eugene has a wealth of knowledge about what to do and see; he is your best resource. The young lad Omar helped with everything, including showing me how to fish.

We had a great stay at Losita’s. She is very responsive and sweet. The large screened in veranda and kitchen area were lovely. There is a beach and restaurants within walking distance.

Loved staying here! We showed up a few hours early and Hilda was extremely accommodating. The only things I would say is that the place was fairly difficult to locate (even with the help of a local) and that at night the club next door made it pretty loud (we could literally feel the bass) but other than that it was in a super great location! About a 10min walk to lazy lizard (the split).

Beautiful home, the amenities were great! My husband and I loved the outdoor shower on the third floor! The pool was clean and and temperature was perfect! The housekeeping service was a nice touch to really feeling like you are on vacation! We had three days of chef service, we love the breakfast but twice had to ask her to prepare lunch and leave it because we were out sightseeing and felt rush to get back. The first day at lunch she told us not to be late for dinner (6pm) as she had to ride an hour to get home. This was understandable but again we had to rush or ask her twice at dinner to leave which meant we had to clean up. The dishwasher was leaking, we had to put a towel down to catch the water as housekeeping and chef allowed it to settle on the floor. Otherwise, our family enjoyed the home and would visit again!

We loved our stay at the Treehouse. It was private and peaceful. The air conditioning worked great, and the home was very clean. The river is across the street and there are several areas people can swim in. Catherine is very responsive and the caretaker Tito is fantastic. I would recommend having a reliable car with good tires. The road to the Treehouse is not paved and very rocky. We tried to limit leaving and coming to the house once a day to avoid driving on the road multiple times.

Palapa House is great. The king suite was roomy. It was nice having the kitchen although we never cooked there. The pool is a great amenity. You can't beat the location. It's close to town and to many bars and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again!

This is my second time staying at Hummingbird Island, like tge first I stated it was a great experience, the place was very clean and felt like home. Very spacious, rooms and very nice kitchen, if you have a family it's great because if you want to cook a meal, you are provided with everything you need. this place is close to town, great location, the swimming pool was a great addition, specially if you have kids, my son enjoyed it. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back definitely. And the manager was very nice and friendly, he helped with our languages, and with golf cart rental, you definitely need to rent a golf cart. Thank you Hummingbird Island, we had a great time . Great location, central, walk out to the beach. We didn’t try the pool or hot tub but it all looked well maintained and the site shows well. Unit was well equipped, quality furnishings, clean, spacious. Professionally managed, staff were easy to work with, very helpful. Note that property is difficult to get to, you have to go down an alley from the main road then turn left down another. If you don’t know where the place is, it’d be difficult to find, so make sure you get directions. Location prevents a car from taking you and your luggage directly to the site, but they’ll help with a golf cart. Construction on site but they are very transparent about that and we didn’t find it disruptive. We’d stay again.

I think this house has one of the best views you can find on the island. The house is extremely spacious and The property management Kelin was so very nice and helpful! Please use the fishing guides Bent Hook Adventures that they suggest for all your excursions. They are the 2 best guys..Joe and Austin. I would suggest getting groceries at Super Buy in town and not closer to the house due to pricing. Black Orchid is the best restaurant nearby, food and drinks phenomenal. Ride to town is not as bad as I saw on a lot of reviews...just dont speed and its not bumpy! Bring some laundry pods, limited towels. One slight hiccup on last night but team urgently handled and it didn't ruin the amazing week we had! Would recommend!

This place was amazing! We had a full size apartment that was fully stocked! The manager met us when we got there with rum punch drinks. The apartment was so beautiful! Everything looked brand new. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook. The beds were so comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed. Fully stocked with all essentials. The pool and beach and pier were so relaxing. There was kayaks and cornhole but we didn’t use them. We would definitely stay here again if we came back!

Wonderful place! Ideal location and super helpful staff. The restaurant was very expensive though. Massage on the dock was exceptional as were the staff and the excursions. Swim with manatees!

We LOVED our stay at Kane Villas! As a budding birder, I was especially excited by all of the new-to-me species of birds that surrounded us. The trails around the property were runnable and easy to follow (thank you for providing the marking tape so we didn't get lost). The property was exactly as described and breathtaking in its beauty. Definitely bring your bug repellent here and use it often. We enjoyed playing card games & Scrabble out on the screened in porch, which was my favorite place to sit when the rains came at night. The property description states there is no cell service, but we usually had a bar or two. The internet at the villa was not the best and Katherine was very responsive when I mentioned something to her the morning that we checked out. I wish I had messaged her when struggling with it earlier in our stay (I had to do some remote work) because she said it's usually very good and probably just needed re-setting. If we come back to the area, we'll stay here again!

The condo worked perfectly for our family of four. It had everything we needed and the location was excellent. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
