The Old Goat Shed

The Old Goat Shed is exactly as the title says , situated on our small 30 acre goat farm , from where my wife produces goat milk soap and hand made candles. Situated 10 kilometres from Donegal Town looking down onto Donegal Bay and across to Sligo. The area is ideal for walking, cycling or as a base to discover the numerous sites of outstanding beauty County Donegal has on offer as well as our County town 10 minutes away , or if you want to chill out and relax with the fire on that’s no bother

Our cosy hut consists of a comfortable bedroom with an enchanted view of Assaroe Lake: enjoy it on our 3 deckings! The cabin is very close to our house but secluded from it, buried in the woods. The room provides a tranquill escape from frantic life:- there’s no television or WiFi, just a radio. Kitchen facilities are basic but functional. We provide the basis for a continental breakfast. Beaches and hiking trails are very close by. WE ACCEPT PETS ONLY AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THEIR OWNER.

Sitting at the foot of the Bluestack Mountains, this upstairs self-catering appartment is spacious with loads of light. It offers 2 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, sitting room, tv, balcony + stunning views of Barnes Gap + surrounding countryside. Located off the N15, near the Wild Atlantic Way, 10 mins drive from Donegal Town + 10 mins from the beautiful Lough Eske, where the Castle + Harveys Point Hotels are located. Also, the Famous Biddys pub+bistro is a short walk from here.

Luxurious modern cottage

This modern, luxurious cottage is truly special. It is located in the Tawnawully mountains by Lough Eske. It is set on 12 acres with a river running through it and a tumbling waterfall right by the cottage. Only 15 minutes drive to Donegal town, which has some really nice restaurants and bars. There is a castle to explore in the town and a wonderful craft village with a very good cafe. Ten minutes drive to Harveys Point and twelve minutes from Lough Eske castle, both reputable 5 * hotels.

Lough View House

1 night may be available upon request with a different price plan. Loughview House is a modern home a ten minute drive from Donegal Town. It is situated in a quiet scenic area with breathtaking views of Lough Eske and Bluestack Mountains. The ground floor has two large sitting rooms,a well equiped kitchen with separate dining area,utility room and large hall. Upstairs has four large bedrooms,one of which has an ensuite. There is plenty of parking space and a large garden.

The historic Donegal Town Centre is only a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk. We have Lidl Supermarket and Supermacs and Papa Johns Pizza less than a 1 minute drive or 3 minute walk. The Town has everything that visitors require i.e. Restaurants, Entertainment, walks & tours of surrounding areas. A good base to explore the Wild Atlantic Way. The check in time is between 4pm and 7pm. Check out time is 11am. We need to know an estimated time of arrival please.

Valley View Cottage

A traditional warm cosy cottage just 5 minute drive off the Wild Atlantic Way, with two double Bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, office / library and a living room with open fire, record player and TV. Set on the hill side up a private track over looking the valley and pastures. There is a great and friendly local pub 10 minute walk away and Donegal town and Murvagh beach and golf links are a 10 minute drive. There are fantastic walks from the doorstep.

Our location is central Donegal and is the perfect base for exploring beautiful countryside ,heritage and the Wild Atlantic Way. The cottage is located in Stragally Co Donegal between the towns of Ballybofey and Glenties which offer many shops pubs, restaurants, traditional music etc.
