It provides a great home base for travel in the Keweenaw peninsula! As a 1930s cabin with a sauna on the lake along with a great view, the focus is on the experience! We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!

Beautiful home on quiet, peaceful Portage Lake. Only 1 mile out of Chassell and just 8 miles from downtown Houghton. This home is perfect for families visiting their children at Michigan Tech or friends on a get away to the beautiful Copper Country. Summers are great for boating and swimming in the lake. Fall colors are amazing especially along the bike trail just outside our door. Winters are great with skiing and snowmobiling. There is a dock for daytime use, overnight at your own risk.
