Super Cute and Cosy Log Cabin

AndreaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
I loved the little cabin! Some things that we noticed as special: Kitchen had: -fridge, hot plate, kettlle, air fryer -olive oil, salt, pepper and vinegar -biscuits, bacon, and milk -incense ! Bathroom: - clean, nice shower - scented toilet paper Price: -good price! Beds: As the cabin is meant for 2 people, the accomdations are very comfortable. Myself and my 2 daughters stayed, so we needed extra space. The sofa bed was a little rough for sleeping, but she also put an air mattress in the loft. We had trouble finding it because addresses in that area are a bit vague with google maps. Its best to ask someone at a store, and they are happy to help! Also, there is little to no wifi in that general area, so be prepared with a pen, paper, and maybe a map. Marita was absolutely lovely, and the little town is somewhere Id like to visit again. Its a 20 min walk to my favourite pub, The Half Barrel, where I had the best pint if Guinness and the best roast of my life!

Cosy Cottage & Lake views

Frances was the perfect host. She met us on arrival, gave us a quick tour and explanation of the essentials and she'd even been kind enough to get in some groceries which was very much appreciated after a long day. The house is spotless and so comfortable with hotel quality beds and bedding and a whole host of extras you rarely get. I particularly loved the Brita water jug for fresh water and not being reliant on bottles. The bath was heavenly and aesthetically, anyone who popped in to visit us raved about the place and how beautiful it was. We arrived just after wifi was installed and it was very much appreciated too. Very often in rentals you get the feeling it's been kitted out with bits and bobs, but everything here felt very considered and of great quality. The views down to the lake were amazing and rain or shine you could just pass the day watching it. Ultimately this feels like a home but with hotel quality. Far more than a rental. Highly recommend. Huge thanks Frances.

Really lovely cottage, in a super isolated and quiet location (although expect to share the outdoors with some midges at certain times of day!). Really lovely hosts too.

We had a really wonderful time at Lauren's accommodation. Everything was new, clean and cozy. We have nothing to complain about. We would definitely like to come back. Excellent accommodation for a great price. I can only recommend it to everyone.

In a nook where the town’s whispers softly sigh, Paddy and Mary’s haven caught my eye. With views that dance ’neath a boundless sky, They greeted me warm, like kin drawing nigh. They were sure to make me feel not only at home in the wee apartment, but in the community as well pointing me in the right direction to meet new people. This morning I was even offered a small tour of the area. Their home, oh so clean, with a cozy embrace, Wrapped me in comfort, a heartwarming space. When time came to part, they bid me farewell, A pang of sweet grief in my heart did swell. In that quiet town, where beauty’s unfurled, Paddy and Mary’s Airbnb—a gem of the world!

Stone Barn Cottage In Galway Countryside

MaureenRating, 5 stars5 days ago
What a great location just off the motorway but far enough away it's incredibly quiet and peaceful. Lovely restored cottage (the pictures don't do this place justice). The land is beautiful and gardens fabulous...oh and the sheep and cows viewed right from the patio. This place is so convenient to multiple places on the west coast, but Galway is a very short drive. Lynn was so sweet to leave goodies, including home made flapjacks...yum! Lynn is great at communication and very prompt. We had a last minute request that she was so gracious to attend to. The details are to a high standard...shampoo, milk and coffee, two luggage tables (so you both get one), disposable slippers, charging cords on the bedside tables that even extend to plug in so you can use your devices without being awkwardly close to the plug, fresh flowers and more. Lynn's place is well equipped and great energy all around! Stay longer than you planned to here, it's definitely worth it. Highly recommend.

We had a nice stay at Niamh's. It was a great location for visiting friends in Portumna and a quiet retreat after a long day. Very peaceful location for a good night's sleep. Everything was very clean and checking in was a breeze as Niamh met us when we arrived. The only thing I was missing was a throw or extra blanket on the couch to snuggle under while watching TV or reading a book but that certainly isn't a big deal.
