Family-friendly holiday rentals in Balestrate

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Villa Palme! Giovanni, Antonella, and Valeria were exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and excellent communicators from start to finish. Their home was incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully set up, especially for families with young children and babies. We felt so at home that we ended up extending our stay by several nights! The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals together, and the instructions for household tasks like waste disposal were clear and easy to follow. They also provided fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and sightseeing, which really helped us make the most of our time in the area. We can’t thank them enough for their hospitality and would highly recommend Villa Palme to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway.

Wow! From the moment we arrived Francesco and Cynthia made us feel welcome, at home and we left feeling like part of their family. The house is absolutely beautiful and we had a wonderful, private section with everything we needed - including a lovely outdoor shower, table and chairs. The private pool was perfect for a dip after our day trip to Palermo. It’s just a few minutes walk to the beautiful Mondello beach, and lots of bars and restaurants. They responded to every request immediately - even driving to the supermarket to buy us bottles of water! Cynthia even wrote a plan for us when visiting Palermo - which we used and worked perfectly. We’ll remember this holiday forever because we got engaged on the trip. But also because we met such wonderful people and stayed in such a beautiful home - thank you Francesco and Cynthia! As promised, we will definitely be back one day ❤️

Lucietta a été très disponible et flexible. nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet endroit que nous recommandons.

Davide’s flat is easy to find, just a 2-minute drive from the main road, yet perfectly quiet and peaceful. The apartment is beautifully decorated, modern, and well-equipped. Beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen, while basic, has everything needed for a week-long stay. Davide thoughtfully provides both pool and bath towels. The outdoor space is a highlight—immaculately maintained gardens and a lovely pool ideal for relaxing in the sun. Secure gated parking is available via key fob. The surrounding area is stunning, with Alcamo just 5–10 minutes away and the picturesque coastal town of Castellammare del Golfo about 12 minutes by car. It’s also within driving distance of Palermo, San Vito Lo Capo, Scopello, and the hidden gem of Guidaloca Beach. A fantastic stay—great value and highly recommended. We had an amazing time at Giacoma & Carlo’s villa. Everything was as the pictures in the listing and the view of both the mountains and the sea was perfect from the terrace. Giacoma & Carlo was super responsive whenever we had a question and helped make our stay perfect.

We stayed at Lampeduso for 3 nights and it definitely wasn’t long enough. It’s such a great Airbnb in a perfect location. Palermo is such an interesting city, with its mix of cultures and all its gritty charm. The palace was perfect. It rained for two of the days we were there, but because the villa was so fantastic, the weather didn’t affect us at all. The place is huge, with great amenities that made a big difference—washer and dryer for our soaked clothes, umbrellas ready to go, and plenty of space to enjoy a good card game. When the sun did come out, we spent early evenings on the patio next to the pool. Honestly, the villa alone makes us want to return to Palermo.

A beautiful villa set in a lovely, peaceful area very close to the beach. The outdoor area, pool and garden were perfect for relaxing after visiting other parts of Sicily during the day and the hilight of the villa for us. A good location for exploring the north western part of Sicily or relaxing at the beach and pool for the week. Rosanna and Fulvio were wonderful hosts, everything from arranging check in, welcoming us to the villa, showing how everything works and providing restaurant and places to visit recommendations was fantastic.

Stunning location. On the front side, the (small) mount Bonifato and the sea; on the back, hilly Sicily as far as the eye can see. Very peaceful, one can enjoy some days of calm here. Hosts are very welcoming and cleanliness was much appreciated. One point to consider for car entusiasts: in case of a lowered/sport car, the last 200m of acces road could be a challenge.

The apartment has lots of character, with old fashioned furniture but in a good way. The small terrace is lovely with lots of plants surrounding you, a good place to have breakfast or read a book. Very comfortable bed and effective AC in the bedroom. Plenty of space. A great location in the old town with easy walking access to loads of good restaurants and bars, but also close to the more modern marina and its restaurants. It seems very secure with the lock system of the building generally. Lots of interesting books on Sicily spread around the place. Francesca was extremely helpful.

Loved the bright, airy, comfortable and well designed duplex flat with uber slow elevator to top floor! The street is very ‘rough’ pavement-wise and at a cross section with an abandoned building - off putting at first but Bianca’s place is truly a refuge from the grittier albeit fascinating side of Palermo. Everything you’d want to visit is within reach by foot. I am a solo traveler , 70 yrs old who would definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay in a great location! Chiara was super friendly and gave us lots of recommendations and areas to explore. The air con and doors muted any noise from outside and made it a lovely stay in such a central part of the old town. The little balcony got a great amount of sun and was the perfect spot for a morning coffee. Certainly would recommend this airbnb!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Krizia. La vue est magnifique, bien plus que ce les photos laissent paraître. Le logement est très fonctionnel, idéal pour 2 personnes. La climatisation fonctionne très bien. Krizia est très réactive et toujours prête à répondre aux éventuelles questions.

Abbiamo soggiornato 2 notti, corrisponde alla descrizione, vicino al centro, parcheggio sotto casa, bello spazio all’aperto per rilassarsi e mangiare!

The best airbnb we have ever stayed in - seriously! Everything was just perfect! The communication with Cynthia was super easy and she herself is incredibly accommodating, helpful and really puts her heart and soul into it. She has pictures, videos and links for everything to make your stay perfect.

The loft is VERY clean, beautiful and central! There is a beach bag, a parasol, children's toys and much more in the apartment and you can simply use it for the days. We were more than happy with everything and are already looking forward to the next time in Cynthia's place! Thank you!!❤️

Loves this apartment, the decor was cute and lots of attention to detail. The apartment was spacious with more than enough room for 3 of us. The kitchen was well equipped. The area is very central to all attractions and amenities with a big supermarket close by of you need it. The host took time to check us in and gave great instructions and some great recommendations- three lf which we choose and they were excellent. Recommend.

Meine Tochter hat mit ihren Freundinnen eine Woche in der Villa verbracht. Giovanni und sein Sohn Lorenzo waren bei allen Fragen stets erreichbar und haben sofort geholfen. Das Haus liegt direkt gegenüber vom Strand und die Mädchen konnten wundervolle Tage am Strand verbringen oder sich auch einfach auf dem sehr großen Balkon mit Strandblick sonnen. Vom Haus aus ist Palermo City mit dem Bus leicht zu erreichen und auch direkt in Mondello gibt es einige schöne Restaurants und Bars. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ließ keine Wünsche offen und es wurden sogar zu Mückeprävention Stecker für die Schlafzimmer sowie Mückenspray zur Verfügung gestellt. Insgesamt hat es den Mädchen sehr gut gefallen und sie würden immer wieder kommen:)

Silvana e Gino sono due host eccezionali. Sono stata da loro una settimana a Settembre e non avrei potuto chiedere di meglio: la posizione, la vista mozzafiato, la gentilezza e l’ospitalità dei proprietari di casa. Torneremo senz’altro in questo angolo di paradiso e consigliamo a tutti di andarci se passano di lì!!

Ми чудово провели час у цьому помешканні! Дуже вдячні господарю за теплий прийом — він був надзвичайно доброзичливий і завжди залишався з нами на зв’язку, що було дуже приємно. Окремо хочемо подякувати за чудово підготовлений гід по Сицилії — це була справжня знахідка! Будинок ідеально підходить для відпочинку з дітьми: є дитяче ліжечко, стільчики для годування, загороджений басейн — усе продумано до дрібниць. Територія велика, зелена, є чудова зона для барбекю — ми із задоволенням проводили там вечори. Абсолютно рекомендуємо це помешкання! Це місце, куди хочеться повернутися.

Quel beau séjour ! Luisa - la personne qui nous a accueillie, ouvert la maison, pris de nos nouvelles régulièrement et réglé les petits problèmes - est une perle, charmante et réactive. La maison est comme décrite, très agréable à vivre, parfaite avec une chambre "parents" au rdc et 2 chambres à l'étage pour les enfants (ce qui permet aux parents d'avoir leur bulle). Superbe piscine, grande et avec vue imprenable sur les montagnes. Le jardin ombragé et pleins de petits coins détente. Vraiment de belles vacances.

We had the most amazing time at this wonderful house in Alcamo. The property was excellent for our family of four (two adults, two children). it was spacious, clean, and with beautiful views of the ocean from both levels. You’ll need a car, which will give you access to the wonderful surrounding area. I must give our compliments to the wonderful hosts who did everything to make our stay special, including a birthday cake for a family member :) We highly recommend it!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour grâce à Frank qui était toujours disponible, très à l'écoute et bienveillant ! Il nous a aidé lorsque nous en avions besoin. L'appartement est très bien situé avec une très belle vue et tout ce qui est nécessaire au confort dont on a besoin. La ville de Balestrate, près de l'appartement, est très jolie, avec des très bons restaurants et pizzerias !

We had a great time staying at the large spacious villa. A real nice view from the terrace on the pool and sea and garden! Very friendly and helpful host Guiseppe. I can really recommend this beautiful villa!

We had the best week staying at Bruno’s house. It was even better in person than the photos which is rare! We were a group of 7 including a 2 year old and 11 week old and the villa was perfect for a family holiday. You will not beat the view from the pool area during the day and watching the sunset. There are lots of options for eating outside and sun loungers for relaxing at the pool. The house was very clean and we found everything we needed. Bruno was the perfect host, very welcoming and responsive for any questions we had during our stay and provided contact details of a taxi driver, so we could be dropped into the town when we did not want to drive. We would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back in the future!
