the view and peaceful was everything for us we traveled with kids and everyone was able to enjoy our stay. Would definitely stay here again whenever we return.

If what you are looking for is privacy, a super central area, a quiet place, with private docks, unlimited use kayaks and with parking. This is your ideal place, we had an incredible time, with a wonderful view of the lagoon, the center 2 blocks away, restaurants outside the accommodation and shops a few steps away, flexibility of arrival, they let us use the facilities while they gave us the loft, and practically the dock was just ours, we were always alone, Peter always had everything necessary to have a good day, Peter was always open to solve our doubts, the WIFI connection was weak but he lent us a router and it was resolved quickly. The only observation was that he needed some maintenance and cleaning details (nothing that affects the stay), the bathroom door did not close well and the sink key was a little dirty, in addition to the fact that the bed gushed with any movement, no doubt we would stay again!

We cannot say enough about Margo's place. The pictures do not do it justice; the casita is beautiful, clean and well equipped. The kitchen is small but has everything that you need and then some. We enjoyed the veranda for eating, reading and watching birds and the pool is great to float or swim laps if you choose. Sunset from the pier is amazing! We had a great sunset every night. Swimming in the ocean is best from the end of the pier, the bottom is soft near shore and the water was very comfortable. It was our first time to Sarteneja and we will definitely come back again, it is a sleepy little fishing village with friendly locals. If you are looking for a place to relax that is unspoiled by tourism this is it. The only thing we would change is that we would have stayed longer! Margo is an incredible host, we felt right at home. One piece of advice--follow Margo's directions even if it seems that you are going out of your way and Google maps tells you to take a different route.

Very nice apartment, peaceful place! The road to get there is a little bumpy but you get used to it. The pontoon on the lagoon is very nice, there was a lot of wind but we were still able to do a little kayak and paddle tour. The accommodation is very good, the pool is nice. The only small downside was that we had neither a broom nor a net to remove all the leaves that fell from the tree. The staff who take care of the house are very kind. I recommend this peaceful and pleasant accommodation.

This is our second time at Yayum's stay and it's still an amazing place for us. The location of the listings on foot of the lagoon is privileged in its privacy, views and facilities, which guarantee what you want to be all day enjoying its warm and calm waters. The accommodations are as seen in the photos, the comfortable beds and everything is clean. The stays are surrounded by beautiful and exuberant vegetation. The location is very good and the bikes they lend make it fun to reach in a few minutes to the many restaurants and cafes in Bacalar. If what you are looking for is a quiet, beautiful, comfortable and in contact with nature, this is a great place. Staff attention on premises is immediate and have daily cleanliness of the place. The attention of our hosts was always immediate and kind. Everything great! I would highly recommend it!

Bacalar is gorgeous! Staying at Jacqui's was a magical experience. Jacqui's home is literally steps from Cenote Negro. You can relax on hammocks and lounge chairs. The view is amazing! Jacqui provides: life vests, kayaks, paddles, paddle board, snorkels. A priceless bonus! Jacqui ensures that the environment within her home is safe and peaceful. The other guests, our "neighbors" were kind, friendly and respectful. Our living space was comfortable; the annex is super cute. Jacqui provides air conditioning and hot/cold water with great water pressure! There is also a kitchen with several utensils, a mini fridge and drinking water! Thank you Jacqui for allowing my family to stay in your home. We would love to stay again. Incredible!

Excellent place and treatment by the host, of the few places that have utensils and basic things like water and other accessories like coffee, there are fewer places that offer these courtesies and they are very appreciated.

My family and I loved this beautiful house. We have 3 children aged 2 and 5 and we thought it was going to be complicated but it was the opposite. The house has a great location, as they say it is at the foot of a cenote and it was impressive to return to the house one day when we took an excursion and see our little house in Bacalar in the distance and be able to take a photo from the Lagoon to save this beautiful memory that was an important part of our vacation. Every morning it was beautiful to open the curtains and see the Lagoon there with us, with those wonderful colors. We couldn't have picked a better place. Super complete and first class service. Very good service from the host, the conditions of the house were excellent, the dock to the lagoon was a plus with a very good area to enjoy the water.

This is the perfect house for a large group. My party of 10 adults loved the house and the location. The pictures don’t do it justice. We especially appreciated the outdoor kitchen and the use of the Beach Club next door. Our host Luis was very responsive to all my questions. Checking in was a breeze! Pablo the onsite maintenance guy was great. He helped us with so much during our stay and he does a great job maintaining the house and the beach club. Thank you so much Pablo! Our overall experience was amazing and 100 percent recommend staying at this property!

Beautiful and quiet, excellent location. We used the kayaks every day and enjoyed the hammocks in front of the Lagoon. The loft-style home setup was great for our family of 4 (2 kids and 2 adults). We’d love to go back again one day!

The house is extremely comfortable, a quiet and far away area, it is easy to go out and find a taxi , or Ana la Sra la sra takes care of the house, looking for some unit, we supported us to go to the pharmacy she on her motorcycle we thank 🏍 her very much for the gesture. The view of the lagoon is impressive to see the 🌅 sunrise even the sunset is an unparalleled peace. we thank the vests saves lives because I don't swim and that gave me security is a deep area and with a lot of stone, but it is worth it . try to bring the essentials to cook if your plan is not to go out , because there is nothing nearby .

Very nice location with private access to the lagoon. We spent the majority of the time outdoors. Everything is set up in this direction. (Palapa, Hammocks, sun loungers, canoes, BBQ etc) The A/C in the rooms is essential at night, given the temperatures:) The host is very responsive to any questions or issues. We enjoyed a lot during this quiet stay. A real little paradise!

Great location right on the lake. We especially enjoyed spending time in the outdoor eating area (with full kitchenette), and swimming and watersports activities right off the private pier. Note that the property has bedrooms in two separate buildings. Two bedrooms are lakefront, and the remaining bedrooms are a bit further back in a separate building, which also includes a kitchen and outdoor seating. The property was clean and well kept, albeit a bit dated. Location is about 5 minute drive into town. Overall a great spot for a few days in Bacalar.

The place was exact as we imagined, the unpaved entrance road, but it's normal for a private place and by the lagoon. Verónica received us super friendly, we checked in very late at night and she was attentive and explained everything in detail. The place is very clean, the towels super clean, the beds too. As a note: They need an oversize or bedspread on top of the bed sheet, but other than that, everything is fine. It's a rustic place and I really liked that I didn't have a TV to appreciate the beauty of the area. I work remotely and the wifi worked perfect at all times. Victor (the host) is super helpful at all times and with a very quick response to any questions. Recommended if you go as a couple without children and you are looking for something very simple as you think you are out exploring the area.

The place is very nice, the access is by a complicated path but it is part of the experience of being away from the village and private and does not depend on them that path. The place is a 10 if you know how to understand, it is a homemade place not a luxury resort and the photos are always nicer than the place but in value it stands out. The stay was fine, you can use the free kayaks and explore the lagoon The only thing that would improve is that the bathroom does not have any ventilation and what even by regulation I would have to have. (If they put an extractor for the steam from the shower or the smells in the bathroom it would be much better the experience

Excellent place to disconnect from the outside, quiet and very nice.

This was our second stay at Xcabal. We really like this place. It is easy to find and very close to town, but far enough to be quiet and tranquil. The rooms are very pretty and perfectly clean, with super comfy beds and bedding. The shower gets nice and hot and has awesome water pressure. The dock area is super: great for swimming or just lounging around to enjoy the beautiful lake. The staff is really nice and helpful and very chill. All good stuff!

Awesome stay, me and my partner had the whole place to ourselves. We have stayed here before, so we knew what to expect if you are looking for time to spend in nature off the beaten path. This is your spot.

Excellent space to host you if you want privacy and amenities at a super price. It has a great view of the lagoon, exactly like the pictures. In a matter of cleanliness and order, everything perfect. Just as an observation, I would have liked to have a little more maintenance of the common area facilities.
