“Schwarzhorn” modern chalet apartment from 1768

JasmineRating, 5 stars5 days ago
A great place to stay in Brienz area. Upon arrival Jo waited for us to show the house and parking that really helped. Apartment is renovated well and looks clean and beautiful. Only small downside is the noise from neighbours (but since it’s an old house understandable.) the home made marmelade is a nice addition. Would definitely stay again and recommend !

ONA Stay I Group & Family Apartment I 3 bedrooms

BrittanyRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Perfect stay! Everything was as described and the views were AMAZING. It’s a quiet town, but easy to get to all major towns. Train is walkable (took 10 mins with 3 kids!) and if you plan correctly it’s super easy: leave at the top of every hour, you will catch the quarter past the hour train. Perfect timing every time. The host and cohosts were EXTREMELY helpful and kind! This place has EVERYTHING you need and more!

Magnificent panorama suite!

It’s hard to put into words just how special Florence and Heiner are. At first glance, you’ll be taken in by the breathtaking beauty of their home—the views, the garden, the immaculate cleanliness, and the delicious breakfast all speak for themselves. But what truly makes this place unforgettable is the heart and warmth of the couple who welcome you in. This was our second visit, and I already find myself hoping for a third. Florence and Heiner are among the kindest, most thoughtful people we’ve ever met. Florence even went out of her way to help us get to and from the bus stop, fitting it gently into her own schedule—a generous gesture that meant the world to us. While that kind of help can’t always be expected, her warmth and willingness to support us made our trip flow so smoothly. She also has a treasure trove of brochures and local guides for exploring every corner of Switzerland—ask for advice. And please, give Mordrid and Marilyn pats. They’re so sweet and we’ll miss them.

This was an amazing stay! Not only does this place have an amazing view of Grindelwald but it is in a great spot near many places to eat and shop. Karin and Mike were extremely responsive and were happy to help with anything that I asked. Highly recommend!

“Mountain Chill” with Lakeview

ToddRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Where do I start? We arrived in the evening before a national holiday (Ascencion). My wife and I wanted to find a market to purchase some food and drinks for the stay but everything was closed by the time we checked in (including restaurants) due to the holiday. But Dunja saved the day! She operates a bistro downstairs and offered to let us shop in her kitchen for food and drinks! Our favorite item was her charcuterie board with wonderful, local products! We were able to purchase just enough food and drinks for dinner that night and breakfast the next morning. Dunja's place was just remodeled a year ago and it is 5 star quality!! The location and view are AMAZING! . Everything inside is clean, modern and love the electric blackout shades! The bed was super comfy and the bathroom/shower were top notch. This location is only a 5 minute walk to the train station which made accessing different trips in the area very simple, no car needed! Thanks Dunja... we'll be back!! :)

Super location with lovely view. The house is a bit dated and creaks a lot, but everything was fine.

Alpzyt on Axalp

ShahadRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The house is clean and beautiful and they gave us pasta and sauce🥰 But the road to the house is difficult and at the top of the mountain and there are slopes and the road is one way, you must pay attention, otherwise the place is beautiful and the surrounding area is quiet, close to the waterfalls of Gisapkh and 35 minutes away from Interlaken

Chalet Meyerisli, Axalp ob Brienz (1555 m. ü. M)

JodieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This chalet felt like home from the moment we walked in the door. Some places can make you feel like you are almost trespassing on their space - this chalet felt like it had been prepared to make you feel as welcome as possible. Every possible need had been anticipated. The views were absolutely stunning and it was peaceful and quiet. It took about 20 minutes of driving up the mountain from the base to get to the chalet, so be prepared to grab everything you need down in the valley before the trip up to the chalet. There were tons of amenities - spices, oils, vinegars - a bread machine! As well as a fondue pot, an espresso maker, flour.. I literally could go on and on. Point is, we had a wonderful stay and left refreshed. Thank you Andreas for being so hospitable and welcoming! Thank you also for all the recommendations!! This was our first time in Switzerland, and you and the chalet helped to make it unforgettable.
