Castle holiday rentals in Auvergne

In the absence of our host Bertrand (for reasons totally beyond his control), we were very kindly and efficiently welcomed by the couple of caretakers of the property. The estate is composed of the castle and several secondary buildings, forming a harmonious and charming ensemble, in a very well-maintained wooded park. The barn we occupied has been completely renovated, its simplicity seduced us, it is equipped with the essentials. We were able to enjoy the swimming pool, a good size, overlooking the surrounding fields. The estate is located 1 km from Maurs, a small village of character that has all the amenities. Ideal base to shine in the Cantal, Lot and Aveyron regions. After 5 idyllic days, we left this haven of peace.

Warm welcome from Elisabeth and then many friendly exchanges with Raissa. Very quiet accommodation, set back from the rest of the castle which allows some privacy. Accommodation with all the essentials to have a good time in a very typical village. The only " tricky" point could be the parking but we always found a simple solution except one night, arrived late or we fell in a municipal parking lot below. A very pleasant stay with very welcoming hosts.

We had a very good stay, the village is beautiful. The accommodation is refurbished with beautiful materials. The location is superb, a stone's throw from a very pretty waterfall and a very pleasant tavern. Thank you. Arthur and Maëlle

Beautiful estate, we had a great time with the family. The place is very quiet, suitable for young children who appreciate the contact with the animals present on the site. The gite is spacious, well-equipped. Would definitely recommend.

The place is very pretty, surrounded by greenery. The terrace opens directly to the chapel which is beautiful, and the castle on the other side. The sound of the river is relaxing and it is a very good setting to rest. We were very well hosted on top of all that. Only small negative, the humidity due to the river, and a little noise sometimes because of the nearby road, but it's still light. I highly recommend, our group of friends had a great stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Chateau de la Chambre. Dominique and Alain were wonderful hosts - we had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The area is stunning - not very touristy but that was a positive for us! Beautiful villages and easy to reach Lyon, Vichy and the Puy de Dôme. Thoroughly recommend!

Great stay at Cécile's . Our adventure at the castle was a very good experience. Quiet , beauty of the park , large volume , everything is equipped for the whole family . A big plus: cherry leaf on the tree!!!! Thank you for the welcome and for the wine , just delicious! See you next time ...

We can’t say enough about the beauty and warmth that welcomed us to Chateau Garinie. It was the most peaceful week spent in markets, touring castles, dining outside at the chateau with friends, making local friends, and exploring. Caroline made us feel so at home! She’s considered all the details and there was not one thing that we felt was missing. And she’s a lovely person too! We didn’t want to leave and hope to be back for more.

We had a great time at Sophie's place. We particularly enjoyed the rooms, all with bathrooms, the exteriors, the pool and the spa. The environment was extremely quiet.

We had a great time at this beautiful mansion, spacious, bright and warm. Its cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for hosting people or for a family stay. Despite a view of factories across the street, with continuous smoke and a little noise, we were fully satisfied with the standard offered. The interior design is a clever mix of old charm and modernity, which brings a lot of character to the place. We strongly recommend this mansion. It would certainly be even more pleasant in summer, especially to enjoy the pool. Again, thank you for this great experience!

We loved our stay in our very own castle! A beautiful slice of the French countryside below the stars! Veronique was so helpful and responsive - the kids loved the pool and we found so much to enjoy in the local area!

We had a great time at this very pleasant little house, quiet, beautifully renovated, very well equipped and very comfortable. The room with the small balcony overlooking the trees is spacious, very cozy and the bedding is of very good. There's even a place to store bikes. Maryse hosted us very well, very friendly and very accommodating. We felt right at home. The location is perfect for enjoying the Cantal, nature, hiking or biking. We highly recommend this listing!

A wonderful stay. Maud was the local contact and extremely helpful and friendly to deal with. We loved the home and it was beautiful, clean and well equipped. The location is in a quaint small village. Perfect for a calm, quiet break. It’s a bit away from anything though so if you need groceries or want to go somewhere it’s at least 25minutes to do that. Overall still a wonderful visit

From Anne-Cathrine & Christophe’s communication to the property itself we were left absolutely speechless and left wishing we were staying longer! The bed was so comfy and all of the amenities were top notch. The love and time they have put into the Chateau and its surrounds speaks for itself and we were in awe as soon as we arrived. Already thinking of ways we can come back! Worth every penny and tres incroyable! ❤️

We were delighted with our stay. The spa and hammam were the big plus of our weekend, with outdoor games and trampoline for children. Too bad you have to check out at 11am!

Jean-Louis and Joëlle hosted us in the outbuilding of their beautiful mansion. Beautiful green and peaceful setting, while being close to downtown Rodez (5 minutes by car). We had a great stay with our 4 year old son. Jean-Louis and Joëlle are exceptional hosts, very warm and responsive. Thanks for everything!

A very nice weekend in this peaceful and comfortable room, which allowed us to escape for a weekend. Pierre is very considerate and welcoming, we both enjoyed our stay at the castle!

Had a lovely stay at Sabine's, the room was super beautiful, there is even a courtyard where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. Breakfast was super good and hearty! And Sabine is very kind, pleasant and friendly. Can't wait to come back ^^

Halim's place is superb - as advertised - spacious & clean. We only spent one night as we were passing through, enroute to the French Riviera but it was a special one: our 25th anniversary! Halim made it extra special with small thoughtful gestures :-) We only had one regret: that we couldn't stay longer to enjoy the lovely accommodation & amazing amenities! Would be happy to recommend to family & friends and hope to come back again one day! Merci beaucoup Halim!

Great stay at Chateau Rouge! Véronique and her husband are extremely considerate and always available. We had a wonderful WE from Easter with the family.
