Waterfront holiday rentals in Ashland County

Such a great location! We just visited Applefest and the Annex is only 11 minutes away. We absolutely loved walking down to the beach, it’s a little private walk down the hill to a secluded beach with beautiful rocks and sea glass. The Annex #1 was the perfect size for two people, and so clean. We will definitely be back next year!

We had a very relaxing stay at the cabin right on Lake Superior. The location was perfect to visit nearby Bayfield. The unit had everything we needed for a quick weekend getaway. The host had amazing communication and we look forward to staying in one of their properties in Bayfield next summer.

This place was awesome! The hosts were very responsive and prompt to answer questions and accommodated us last minute. The views of the lake are amazing and the sandy beach was so relaxing. This place is serine! This place has everything you need for amenities. Close proximity to everything and Bayfield was about a 5 min drive. Thank you so much for a wonderful visit! We will definitely be back.

An incredible space at the end of a private drive, overlooking the lake. The space was warm and welcoming, literally and figuratively! Loved the front sitting room with floor to ceiling windows to sit and sip coffee and enjoy the views. The proximity to the neighboring Houghton Falls preserve was enjoyed using the trail on the property. Peaceful, relaxing, made use of the large fire pit outdoors with the lake in the background. Close enough to town if you forget something and need to run in real quick, otherwise peaceful privacy to enjoy nature and the beautiful surroundings.

My family and I were very happy with: the location, the great water view from the balcony, the attached bookstore (a must visit), everything you need in Bayfield being within walking distance (including the ferries to the Apostle Islands & the Saturday morning farmer's market), the long list of amenities in the apartment, the cleanliness of the apartment, easily accessible parking spaces, and the quick and thorough responses from the hosts. Some patrons at the bar next door were laughing & having fun a little loudly outside on Friday night when we were going to bed, but the sound machines that were available in each of the bedrooms easily took care of it for us. (Saturday night, the patrons were quiet, but we still enjoyed using the sound machines.) We needed help with the airbed and the hosts took care of it promptly. We would definitely stay here again!

Pearl and Jim are great hosts, very easygoing and always helpful. The apartment is the lower unit, exactly as described. From the great window in the main room to the wonderful deck, large bathroom, comfortable bedroom with plenty of closet and drawer space, everything worked well. The garden and lawn that lead down to a small private beach are beautifully landscaped. The apartment was spotless and comfortable.

Tim and Kelly were proactive in their communication leading up to our stay. The sub-zero temps and diminished snow cover had caused issues for the sceptic ahead of our trip; Tim was on the ball lining up local services to resolve the issues ahead of our stay and made sure we had a fun home-base for Birkie week events. This is a comfortable, spacious, and well outfitted cabin in the north woods. Thanks again to Tim and Kelly!

This cabin was great for a group of snowmobilers. Direct access to the lake made getting to the trails easy. We admired the cleanliness and layout of the cabin and beds. We would definitely stay here again.

Almost everything about our stay was perfect. We loved the kayaks and the beautiful lake, it was absolutely peaceful. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the cooking items we needed. We hope to stay again in the future!

The retreat on the lake was a beautiful place to spend a few days. We were there in the winter, and it was a nice cozy atmosphere to be in. The lake is beautiful, and there are beautiful walking trails in the neighborhood. There is a nice little community beach which would be great in the summer. Ashley was a very helpful and responsive host. Thank you!

This was the second stay, and it was just as lovely as the first time, perhaps even more so than the first visit! There were some little appreciated changes: a dedicated device for music, another very happy plant, and wild turkeys mingling with the deer at the feeder. The aurora borealis came out to play with pinks and greens. A wolf made a cameo appearance in the greater neighborhood on one of the more traveled roads. There was the feeling of having traveled back to simpler times , but with all the modern conveniences. Our hosts were phenomenal with listening, and suggestions. One suggestion in particular, was quite a surprise. A mention was made about times past with the wooden shuffle boards, sawdust for sliding the puck, and happy hours playing. Our hosts found somewhere not so far that still had the game, and it was heartwarming to play again! All in all, it was a magical, relaxing stay. The experience will likely to lead to another.

We organized a multi family ice fishing trip and this cabin had everything we needed then some! lots of space made it easy to navigate with all our gear and kids stuff. Excellent location and easy lake access. We will be back!

Cannot say enough about the beauty of this space. Location is close to so many things to do: both inside & out; on the water & on land; for a variety of ages. You could stay here & enjoy the space for a week or get out & explore. House was easily shared by my parents & I, & one brother stayed for a night. Nice layout to house & yard. Simply beautiful relaxing views & comfy furniture. Helpful hosts. Beautiful screened-in porch, back deck, & also coffee on the beach. We kayaked, hiked to waterfalls, went to a show at the Big Top Chautauqua, took a Grand Tour of the Apostle Islands, walked on the ferry to see Madeline Island’s museum & met the new director who shared info about the exhibit Passages (not to be missed!), met old friends, & visited a few restaurants. Washburn’s bookstore! Fall migration has started & birds are passing along the beach. In addition to exploring Washburn, Bayfield, & Cornucopia, we drove to Duluth to visit Glensheen, Fitgar’s, & Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory.

This is a great little condo! There's a great view of the lake, and it's within walking distance to everything this sweet, tiny town has to offer! The space is cozy and has everything you might need for a stay. I especially appreciated that there are coat hooks and storage for clothes and luggage.

This was our second stay here. The hosts are helpful and responsive. We were so comfortable and the place is so central. We love it!

We loved our stay here! We had 9 women staying for a girls trip and there was plenty of space for us all if you don’t mind sharing a room. Everyone got their own bed! The entire condo was super clean too. I appreciated that the fridge and freezer were totally empty when we arrived - I don’t love when Airbnbs keep condiments in the fridge from previous guests. I will miss having coffee in the morning from the balcony, the view is incredible and the sun hits the patio all morning. We loved that within 5 minutes we could walk to dinner, shopping, the Madeline island ferry, and our sailing outing. We didn’t have to use our cars once all weekend! Parking was easy. We cooked dinner in the kitchen one night and found it well stocked. Lots of towels were provided in bathrooms. We used the TV to stream music and movies easily as well. The fireplace was used on evening as well and was nice and cozy. My only feedback would be to provide a few more rolls of TP and get a larger coffee pot!

We had a wonderful time at Gary’s place! We spent the weekend riding atv and this condo has amazing location to get to the trails with lots of extra parking close by. Gary’s place had lots of space with a great view of the lake! Very nice condo!

We appreciated the location and the pleasant apartment. Good supply of towels, comfortable bed, and anything we wanted in the kitchen and bathroom. Lots of suggestions about things to do and places to eat. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Erin’s place. It’s so nice that it’s walking distance to everything in town! Would recommend!

The place was exactly as pictured and the location was perfect. It was a walkable distance from everything in Bayfield. Very beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Erin was communicative and very clear regarding check in instructions!

This home was worth what we paid, Erin’s home is beautiful and she’s a great host!!! My family of 6 were comfortable, Plus great location, everything we needed was walkable, easy check in instructions, Erin was responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!
