This cozy cottage is such a nice stay! It is in a great neighborhood, and the neighbors are so kind and friendly and helped us shovel the driveway when we had snow during our trip. The house was so clean and cozy and had everything we needed- coffee, games, books, a snow shovel, Tupperware, plastic wrap, and even candy bowls. We felt right at home and will definitely be back!

Our little family of 4 loved staying in the cottage nestled in the woods. My husband and I slept in the sunroom surrounded by the forest with the windows open listening to the wind in the trees or the rain on the leaves. SO peaceful and close to town. There is no yard or fire pit but the island was our playground.

We have stayed at Momma’s Haven 3 times now! Tara is an extremely kind and generous host. Her place is comfortable, in walking distance to downtown and the trail, and is clean. Thank you Tara for accommodating our family once again.

Wes is working hard on a house with lots of potential. Bed was comfortable and house decorated from your childhood memories.

We celebrated our 26th Anniversary at this location. Fishing was great off the dock. The scenery beautiful & very peaceful.

House is as described. Kitchen is well stocked. Very clean. Good location in ironwood. Would book again.

Beautiful place and location. We loved the cabin’s kitschy personality. Yes the stairs are steep but we were anticipating that based on other reviews. It worked out fine for us. We had small dogs with us that were carried up and down the stairs when went to bed in the evening. Couple small things would have made the stay a little more comfortable. A few board games for rainy days. A couple basic cooking items like oil, sugar and garlic powder. The pillows are pretty beat up and could use replacing. All of these things are pretty easily overlooked though for the location alone. Woodsy and magical and so close to Big Bay Town Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in this beautifully crafted cabin.

Plenty of space and a good location for ski in/ski out

Great spot for our family to enjoy the Memorial Day weekend and Northland’s last graduation ceremony.

Daniel's place was a true sanctuary. From the peaceful view from either of the decks, to the detail in the decor, this house has exactly what we needed. Daniel was extremely accommodating and friendly. He was helpful while also making sure we had plenty of privacy. I would recommend his airbnb to anyone looking for a little island getaway.

A true cabin in the woods feel. Very quiet and private. We visited to go to the porcupine mountains and other nearby natural areas, of which there are many. We visited for memorial day and tried mountain biking on the trails, but the ones we found coming off of the nearby parking lot around powderhorn mountain were not well maintained and seemed to be better suited to winter skiing and fat biking, however we didn't try Wolverine trails which might be better. There are neighbors not too far away but when you're at the cabin you wouldn't know it. Definitely a rustic stay with the composting toilet and no shower, cell signal is spotty, but that can be a good thing for disconnecting. The cabin is well equipped and everything is very usable and well maintained. Chuck, the host, is very responsive.

Cozy little cabin in the north woods. Comfortable beds. Nice enclosed patio. Located right on the lake. It has all the amenities you would need for a long weekend. We'll stocked kitchen with all the cookware you would need.

Very cozy house in a beautiful setting. Location is great halfway between Bayfield and Cornucopia

The home was decorated nicely, plenty of kitchen pots, pans, and utensils to make a couple of nice meals. Very clean. Beds were comfortable! Plenty of towels and wash clothes. The bottled water in the fridge was very nice. Appreciated the flexibility of a little later check out. Would definitely stay again.

Haven House is truly a gem on beautiful Madelaine Island. The most serene and peaceful getaway we’ve ever had. The spirit of the home is felt throughout, with amazing art and cool artifacts that obviously meant a lot to the owners. Although very private and surrounded by nature, the amenities in the home provide total modern comfort. Great WiFi and tv reception as well. This was a very memorable trip for us and we are already planning a return to this amazing island and home.
