Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

This house was built in 1904 which makes it one of the oldest (and coolest :) houses in Húsavík. What is more, the Eurovision movie was shot there. 2 floors apartment with 3 bedrooms and huge spacious living room gonna make your stay unforgettable. Sænautasel gives you a opportunity to experience living as people did in the olden days in Iceland. You should therefore be aware that there is no electricity. Everybody is sleeping in “Baðstofan”, which the space over the kitchen is called in Icelandic. Breakfast and/or Dinner is available for extra charge. You need to book this in advance at least 2 days prior. If you decide to book 2 nights you should be aware that Sænautasel functions as a guided museum from 12-17 PM.
