Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

Eurovision movie apartment located in the heart of Húsavík, the whale watching capital, is the best place to stay to experience local Icelandic vibes. This house was built in 1904 which makes it one of the oldest (and coolest :) houses in Húsavík. What is more, the Eurovision movie was shot there. 2 floors apartment with 3 bedrooms and huge spacious living room gonna make your stay unforgettable. The house has 6 bedrooms with two 160 cm beds, three 140 cm beds and one 130 cm bed. The kitchen is well equipped. There are two washing machines in the house and two dryers. There is a small stream in front of the house, and the house is located in a beautiful valley with a river. It takes 30 minutes to go to Húsavík, Myvatn, Dimmuborgir and it is 40 minutes drive to Akureyri. 10 people can stay in the house.

Loving stay. Agnieszka and her husband welcomed us very warmly and we had great conversations. We received many tips for our visit to Iceland. The room is comparatively small, but the rest of the apartment is very large. Very nice bathroom and kitchen. Very clean and well equipped. We would come back immediately, we felt right at home.

We were very unlucky with the weather but fortunately the accommodation offered as well as the hosts were welcoming, warm. We were greeted directly by Laura and Miro upon arrival. We discussed and got to know each other over tea. Then Laura recommended two or three restaurants for the evening. As we couldn't do the whale-watching boat trip due to bad weather, Miro recommended other companies to Akuryeri for the rest of our trip (as he works for Gentle Giant). The night went very well and we will come back here if we return to Husavik in the future! 😀

The Vogafjós Farm Resort by Lake Mývatn was a lovely place to stay. The newborn lambs, dairy cows, and authentic Icelandic breakfast were delightful. We did learn that the lake's name comes from the large numbers of midges present in the summer—large numbers were an understatement—but FYI, midges do NOT bite, so no worries. You will love the accommodations and staff at the Vogafjós Farm!

The place is beautiful, the accommodation is spacious and very charming. It's great value for money. We were very lucky to have wonderful weather. We were able to observe whales and puffins and a lot of other things. The perfect location! Elin is very friendly and the accommodation is very clean.

The place is incredible, clean, a lot of ameneties and cozy. In the night we didn’t feel cold. Also the water hose is near to a delicious restaurant “Iceland food” (10 min in car). Johannes is so kind and friendly. The only thing that could be better is the water supply.

There are not enough stars to rate my stay. Easily my favorite stay anywhere on Air BnB or any hotel. So quiet, peaceful, secluded and easy going. I felt like I'd just stepped into a totally relaxed space and was completely at ease. The natural hot tub nearly had me in tears, so beautiful. super flexible check in and a special mention to the awesome house plants, lovely garden space and local knitwear available. I'm almost sad to write such a great review, in case I can't get a space when I'm up north again.
