Full size washer/dryer. Off street (driveway) parking. No smoking. Convenient location in safe, friendly Arlington. Easy transit options to DC. Walk to several bus stops, 1-2 miles to 3 Metro stops, 10 minute drive to downtown. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate service animals due to household allergies.

Covid-19 safe and separate entrance suite, with no shared utilities (radiator in winter and wall unit AC in summer). The space is bright and has windows facing East and South. The apartment has direct access to a private patio, where you can relax with a cup of coffee in the morning sun. The general atmosphere is cozy yet it has a contemporary feel thanks to its bamboo floors in the bedroom and modern tiles in the bathroom and kitchen. No smoking is allowed in the unit.

I would highly recommend this place! The neighborhood is private, and Mary allows you to park in her driveway. The bedroom and bathroom were nice, and Mary left a filtered water pitcher for us. Overall, this place is a great value - close to downtown Alexandria (25 min uber), good proximity to the metro, and very safe. Would definitely come back!

It was probably the best stay I've had on Airbnb! Incredibly kind and helpful hosts—you'll truly feel at home. I always look for a quiet place with respectful, easy-going hosts and a clean room. This stay had it all—and more! Pros: Very quiet, no noise at night (perfect for light sleepers) Spotlessly clean Great location: close to the metro, supermarkets just around the corner, and a beautiful park track for jogging Lydia is always ready to help with advice—and even makes amazing hot dogs and burgers! Cons: Honestly, none that I noticed Highly recommended! If you value peace and calm, this is the perfect place to stay.

The Sonnergrens were great hosts! They communicated very well from start to finish and were a delight to meet in our brief encounters between our respective comings and goings. Their place was comfortable, quiet, and just as described. Their neighborhood is a quiet little pocket but quite convenient to major freeways and a short bus ride or drive to Washington Metro connections. I will stay again happily when in the DC area!

I had a simple room in a beautiful home in a nice neighborhood, which fully met my needs. The hosts were prompt and clear communicators, and I was looking forward to meeting them. (That's one of the delights of staying in an occupied home, rather than one of the soulless and impersonal rentals.) The couple was away for the weekend, but I had the compensating joy of playing their piano, which was an unexpected bonus.

The place is certainly not luxury if that's what your after. The home is on the older side and the floors are creaky. But considering the quiet neighborhood location and relatively easy access to Ballston metrorail along with the relatively affordable price makes this a really nice place to stay at for a couple of nights. Just be careful of the pipes and slightly low ceiling if you're tall.

I had an incredibly comfortable stay throughout my entire trip. Personally, I found the facilities even better than most hotels I've stayed at. I didn’t have any laundry detergent, but the host kindly offered me some without hesitation. I truly felt a sense of warmth and hospitality. Thank you so much!
