Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ardèche

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

The house is perfect, and very well designed, perfect for our family of 5. The big plus is the private pool, secured with a space with deckchair, seat. The outdoor terrace has a lot more, and with direct view to monitor the teenagers in the pool. Another positive point is the view of the hills and donkeys. Very close to the center of Le Vallon by car or on foot by secure path. And a 5-minute walk to an ice cream parlor for a snack!

Kevin et Laetitia’s place is as close to “heaven on earth” as I’ve encountered in a long time! I am looking forward to trying to come back for a longer stay ASAP, it was absolutely incredible and as hosts, they were wonderful to work with. The interior is accommodating and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details and the exterior is a peaceful, divine oasis of comfort and pleasure. The surrounding areas are easy to access and everything was 10/10 wonderful! Merci beaucoup, Kevin & Laetitia!

This truly is a magical place to stay! It would be worth it for the beautiful terrace and views alone but the whole house is up to the same standard and has a Zen like atmosphere. We had a week of superb weather and really fell in love with the Ardèche. Great hikes start right at the house. Mirjam and Benjamin are very welcoming and professional hosts. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this rental and hope to return!

Very good stay in Natacha's accommodation. The place is very quiet and cozy, you feel very good there. The accommodation is ideally located for visiting the region. There is even a hike that starts from Lanas to visit Balazuc and Voguë.

A very pleasant week. The listing is as described and Fabrice took the time to give us good advice. A very good location to get to the various spots that the Ardèche offers (hiking, visiting, kayaking etc.)

The apartment is inconspicuous. Not promising when you enter. However, it turns out to be very stylish and warm, even though it's made of cold stone. Welcoming the host is nice. The location in the village, so the bigger the car, the harder it is to maneuver and parking, but in return on foot everywhere in 5 minutes.

4.75 out of 5 stars. A very lovely and peaceful rental perfect for solo travelers or couples. The air conditioning was much appreciated. The bed mattress was a bit thin and firm for me, but I still slept pretty well. I wish there were curtains on the bedroom windows to block out more of the early morning light, but the mini blinds on the exterior window worked fine. The neighborhood is busy during the day, but this rental is tucked away & quiet. You will have to carry your bags up two flights of stairs. The shower was very nice with a longer glass divider, so you won’t have shower water spilling on to the floor like at so many rentals. The bath towels were a bit rough and could use an upgrade to softer ones. The kitchen had everything you need, including paper towels. Jeremy was extremely generous in his communication and let me check in a bit earlier and leave a bit later. Of course that can’t be promised. I would definitely stay here again. We had a great time in this accommodation with a beautiful view. We also enjoyed the garden with its different places to sit and enjoy another angle/environment.

The accommodation is as described and of high quality. The decoration and layout are on top. Jean-François is welcoming and responsive to our requests.

Gorgeous apartment that is so central and great for exploring Nimes. Rooms were spotless and really comfortable and spacious. Great for larger groups as there were six of us sharing. Amaury was very helpful with any queries we had and recommended some fantastic local restaurants. Only thing that’s surprised us was there is only one toilet which wasn’t clear from the description.

Excellent accommodation: very well located for visiting Nîmes, well arranged, cozy and very beautiful. Beautiful terrace, comfortable bedding. I would highly recommend it!

Zahra El Kassimi was very kind and helpful. The apartment had everything we needed for the ten days we were in Avignon. The apartment was very centrally located, just next to the old papal residence and only a 5-minute walk from the main street. The apartment had 2 air conditioners, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. It was over 30 degrees in Avignon, but the apartment was cool and nice. Everything we needed worked perfectly in the apartment and we had a great time. We would recommend this apartment at Mrs. El Kassimi's to anyone visiting Avignon, who wants to stay centrally and have a short distance to almost everything in the old town. Lise and Bjørner

A wonderful and memorable stay! The studio is always charming and nice, very well equipped and comfortable. The spring light bathes the space of a beautiful sweetness, we like to stay and rest, after a hike or just to unwind. Véronique and Pascal are perfectly friendly hosts and very attentive. It's a real pleasure to stay with them. The gorges of the Ardèche are close by, like many hikes, caves and villages of character. Nia is a gem. We recommend it, and we'll be back 😉✨

The listing exactly matches the listing. Tastefully decorated accommodation, quality interior, complete utensils, and quality equipment and materials. The accommodation is really close to everything. Shops, supermarkets, restaurants, visits... As for Lucie, very responsive. I thank her for everything.

We spent a night at Coralie and Romain's place. The bedding is very comfortable, the apartment spacious and quiet. I have read some comments about the VMC. If you close the doors to the bathroom and toilets, you can't hear it. We had a very good exchange with Coralie, who was very welcoming. There are all kinds of shops nearby; Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a charming little town. I recommend Coralie and Romain's accommodation.

This (too short) stay filled us with happiness. We were first very pleasantly surprised by the attentive and warm welcome from Marie, then won over by the comfort of the apartment and the garden (with pool).
