Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Aran Islands

We were more than satisfied with the accommodation. We were greeted by horses and the extremely sweet little dog Minnie, and then by delicious scones in the apartment. The area is beautiful and we went on several day trips to Connemara National Park, Burren National Park, the Aran Islands/Cliffs of Moher and Galway. What's more, the area was just perfect for us and the children. My daughters loved feeding the horses and playing with Minnie the dog. Or, if it rains a little, there is additional room for playing, which is equipped with some toys, table tennis, etc. Maura responded quickly to minor problems and helped us out, and was generally very accommodating. If we ever visit Ireland again, we will definitely stop by here again.

Definitely worth the money. It’s a charming cottage, well equipped, lovely walks and extremely peaceful. Short drive to good eating places and coffee shops, the Doolin Ferry. Lots to do and explore less than an hour’s drive. The people in Co Clare are friendly and welcoming. We had a great trip. Thank you

Stayed at Anna Marie’s for 4 days. Attended a wedding at Vaughn’s and the house was awesome! The home was well appointed with everything we needed. Anna Marie even stocked the fridge with everything we needed for breakfast included eggs, bread, milk and cheese. We were two couple travelling and there was enough sleeping arrangements that we were all able to have a bed to ourselves (one on a sofa bed; which was extremely comfortable). The patio area outside was excellent as the weather allowed us to eat our meals outside.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view. House was well stocked with everything needed to cook, relax and experience rural Ireland. The hosts Bernie and Val were very responsive, when the washing machine broke one morning they had a new one up and working later that day. They also had a great list of local activities to recommend upon arrival, our favorite being the Hooker Bar just 10 min down the road. From the windows we were able to watch seals in the harbor, a real treasure. We had a lovely time and would recommend this home to all!

A lovely and cozy house in a peaceful location. We loved the quietness to get away from a busy city environment. Anna was super responsive and the welcome manual was really helpful and clear full with local recommendations. The house itself was clean and just felt really warm and welcoming. A perfect place to unwind and have quality time with the family!

We had a great stay at Martin’s place! Great location, and he was very easy to communicate with. We had one small issue with the wifi and he responded to me in minutes (turns out it was just unplugged, no big deal). Prior to our check-in he also sent a lovely list of recommendations to check out around the city. My only suggestion might be to make the colour of the house number a different colour than the door as we did have to drive by a few times to locate it. Google maps wasn’t as helpful as they might have been :) All in all, a great stay, would book again if we were in the area! Thanks Martin!

This house is so spacious, comfortable, clean, bright, modern and peaceful. It is a bit away from the main village, but there are plenty of taxi's. Michael, who collected us from the airport was so helpful and even stopped by the local shop for us to stock up. He made sure we knew how everything worked in the house. We had a lovely tour of the island by local man Tommy, who was very knowledgable and was so giving with his time. Then Mairtin, who is fun and a character took us back to the airport on our return home This is a perfect house for a family or a large gathering of people. I would highly recommend this house.

Had a great stay at the lakehouse, its a beautiful location and very remote, so extremely peaceful. We were lucky with the weather and had a perfectly calm lake and magnificant sunsets most evenings. The house has amazing lake views and you could spend hours relaxing in the living room enjoying the serenity. We liked having access to the private pier, to do some fishing didn't require a boat, and pike and perch were caught every day. Having a great supply of coffee pods and a machine was great and appreciated. A very special house that I hope to return to again some day. Madeline was a great host and made us feel very welcome. We had a fabulous 2 night stay at Aidan's air bnb property. It's so unusual and quirky..nice to stay somewhere different! It was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for your stay! Little touches like, slippers and toothbrush etc. were lovely. Located approx. 10 mins from the nearest town, you would need a car but that's fine. All in all a great spot!

We absolutely fell in love with the place. In a quiet neighbourhood. Would definitely recommend.

Probably the best Air B n B experience I’ve had. Roy was an exceptional host, gave us great recommendations and was always around for any questions. The location its self was stunning, ideally suited between Galway and Doolin. The wood burning stove in the cabin and fire pit were a lovely touch. The Cabin itself was very tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Overall 10/10! Can’t recommend enough.

We really had a great stay with our dogs with Jazz and her family. They have really created a great place to relax 🤗 You feel really close to nature and can hear the birds from morning till night and the vegetable garden is just brilliant 🤩

We stayed in Cashel for 3 nights during our Ireland trip. The cottage was lovely — even nicer than the beautiful pictures. We enjoyed watching the bay each day. The beds were very comfortable and the size was just fine for 2 large-ish people. It is close to Roundstone and Clifden. Malachy Bodhran’s workshop is a must see in Roundstone - what an interesting person!

If you’re looking for a rural place in the country side of Ireland this is the place. It’s a small cottage on farm in the rolling hills. It had gorgeous views to look at and no city distractions whatsoever. It does have internet which is very nice and there is a small town with pubs and a grocery store 10 minutes away. It does have a washer, but we did not see a dryer so just keep that in mind. It was an amazing place and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a country stay.

Looking out over the sea with the cows coming over to say good morning was quite idyllic. Very different to the usual all-look-the-same town apartments or budget hotels. It was cosy, and charming, and the weather was good to us. Plenty to do in the area - we could have stayed twice as long and not done everything. A big highlight visiting the Father Ted house. Geraldine was lovely and very accommodating.

We loved the house, it's the ideal place to relax and unwind. It is by the sea and has beautiful views. Something that would improve would be the cleanliness and some showers and plugs did not work. But we would definitely repeat!!

Irene, the house manager, was an absolute joy to communicate with. Always prompt and accommodating, she ensured that our stay was seamless and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a secluded escape to truly appreciate the rugged charm of Connemara, Hawthorn House is an exceptional choice. We left feeling refreshed and connected to the beauty of Ireland’s west. Highly recommended!

10/10, Absolutely fabulous and our nicest stay in Ireland to date. Surroundings were so peaceful, the cabin was beautiful, clean and really well equipped. Local village was only minutes away. Most importantly and standout for us was Carmel, who was so kind and welcoming and had absolutely everything you could need. Definitely will come back !!

Such a unique and wonderful experience staying at Matt's place. Loved the house and the beautiful surroundings. Matt was responsive, accommodating and procided us with great local recommendations. Only wish we had stayed longer, ao much to explore! Hope to be back!

Our stay at Dorothy's place was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, Dorothy's warmth, humor, and genuine care made us feel right at home. She truly is the most wonderful host you could ever wish for. The house is beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches and plenty of information about the local area. Dorothy was always available to offer invaluable advice on where to eat, explore, and even save money. Her recommendations were spot on and made our trip even more special. The location is perfect, with a stunning lake just a short walk away. Thanks to Dorothy's provided equipment, we enjoyed kayaking and taking in the serene views. The hot tub was another highlight—spacious, impeccably maintained, and absolutely enchanting at night with the fairy lights twinkling around us. Outdoor space's perfect for alfresco dining, and the presence of the donkeys and two friendly dogs added an extra layer of charm to our stay. It truly felt like a slice of haven on earth. 10/10
