Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley

We enjoyed our 4 nights at the house. The host made us feel at home right away with his friendly messages. The house was clean, well-appointed and there was great attention to details. Bottled water, coffee pods and some candies were thoughtfully laid out. Walk-in wardrobe with lots of pull-out drawers and space for hanging clothes. New washer and dryer with laundry detergent pods provided. Pretty well-manicured garden and backyard. Well-equipped kitchen - it would have been a pleasure to cook some meals, but we didn’t have the opportunity. We also liked the neighbourhood which was quiet, safe and pretty. If we ever came back to Santa Clara, we’d definitely come here again!

Louise’s place was absolutely wonderful, and she was an exceptional host. The home was spacious and had the cutest porch—perfect for sitting around and catching up with my group of girlfriends. The neighborhood was peaceful and walkable, with easy access to Sea Cliff Beach and nightly visits to Marianne’s Ice Cream, which became a favorite treat. It was also a short, convenient drive to both Capitola and Santa Cruz. Louise was incredibly flexible and accommodating throughout our stay. She even went out of her way to help us retrieve an item we accidentally left behind. I would 100% recommend staying here!

We had a great time. It was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. This place is ideal for relaxing and unwinding. The host was incredibly communicative and kind, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

I’ve stayed at many places. I can honestly say this home was one of my favorites. Absolutely everything you want and need PLUS MORE. The hammock outside was just what we needed after a long day at the beach. Everything was basically spotless. If you’re looking for a relaxing beach house to stay at, I can’t recommend this one enough. 10/10. I would definitely come back.

I can’t boast about this place enough. Holly went above and beyond to communicate with me. She gave lots of recommendations for food places. We tried Manuel’s, Venus, Pizza my Heart, and The Hideout. Hands down, hideout was my favorite! The home was BEAUTIFUL! Literally, a dream! Our kids (12 & 7) loved it too. We celebrated my son’s 7th bday there. We beached every single day! Their home was beautiful, clean, and magical. The hubby and I slept with the doors cracked open upstairs and literally fell asleep and woke up to the crashing waves. Walk across the street and you’re on the beach! It was heaven. I told my family I was depressed coming back home. HA! The backyard was darling! The lights were my favorite & I didn’t realize there was a little sandpit. Such a great gem. We were welcomed with a basket too. Filled with local bread, taffy (my fav), cookies, wine and coffee; Even with a hand written note. I can’t wait to book their home again. It was a dream. Thank you for having us!!

Vic and Leanne's place is great! We've stayed there several times, and will be back, I'm sure. It's clean, quiet, nicely furnished, and comfortable, with a very well-stocked kitchen. The kitchen and appliances are new and nicely done. Plenty of local coffee for the coffee maker. Vic and Leanne are friendly, helpful, and responsive. Recommended!

This beach bungalow is fabulous ! The home is clean, comfortable and has all the amenities needed for a relaxing getaway! The outdoor patio is a bonus living room! The location has a nice ocean view and easy access to walks along the beach. Heather is a great host! The recommendations provided are very helpful and spot on! Will definitely book this wonderful gem for our next visit to Santa Cruz!

We enjoyed the beautiful location with an easy walk to the ocean and nearby nature bridges park. The home was clean, welcoming and comfortable and the bedroom layout worked great for our family. It includes nice amenities with the hot tub and fire pit outdoors. The host was very responsive and friendly!

Matthew’s place was so peaceful and cute. I loved the whole treehouse like vibe the places gives. It was supper cozy and quiet.

Suzy’s place was perfect! I was in town for a wedding held at Shadowbrook and Suzy’s place was within walking distance to not only the restaurant but also all the spots in the village. Suzy was super responsive and worked with me. Even though I wasn’t able to check in early, we worked it out so that I could at least park in the designated parking spot so that we could walk around town while things were being cleaned. The place was super safe and private. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in town!

Lovely stay for a few weeks! Clean, fully stocked, and pictures look exactly like the unit. The complex was quiet with security staff at night/early morning. Kathleen was quick to respond as well! Would def stay again.

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend! The place was very clean a day modern. We loved all of the amenities they offered. it was the perfect place for our family of 4 to relax in such a beautiful space. Thank you! We will be back!

We had an amazing stay at Howard’s Place! Literally steps from the beach. Howard was very communicative and always responded if we reached out to him. The community is also amazing! We had an issue with the blinds not working and they came the next day and fixed them. They provide wheelbarrows for luggage and have a private pond. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Howard!

We have stayed at many beach hotels and apartments and this may have been the best. Beautiful view of the beach, which is pretty quiet. And you can walk on the beach for a couple of hours in either direction. Also really enjoyed the location in Watsonville, which is the strawberry capital of the US. And nice to have Monterey and Santa Cruz nearby. Communicaiton with Pajaro Dunes was very good and helpful. Look forward to coming back.

Probably the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in in terms of being a clean, well stocked place. So many little details done right. Charging docks on all the night stands. A “did you forget anything” toiletry basket in the restroom. The well equipped kitchen and selection of coffee from Keurig to Nespresso. A lot of care was put into this home and it’s well worth the asking price. As far as location, proximity to the beach, and views - that is all self explanatory. I had an amazing time, and will certainly book again.

Great location in a beautiful neighborhood, with easy access to wherever you need to go in the valley. The place was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Wifi was fast, the AC was perfect during a heat wave. There was a convenient closet and drawers that were perfect for unloading my suitcases, along with an adjustable desk near plenty of power for getting work done. The hosts were responsive and helpful, as well! I will likely try to stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

I stayed for 3 months and couldn’t have been happier with my choice to stay here. Close to downtown, amazing food all around. The gate in front and the fact it was at the very end of a cul de sac made the place feel extra private. Would definitely recommend!!

Great home with gorgeous views of the redwoods!! We were all confused as to why there was no dish soap or trash bags to use, but it had everything else!!

We had a great time staying here over a 4-days weekend. The location is great with access to a private beach. Very kids-friendly!

The best part of this place was the room in the back. It really was like an Executive Director suite. So of course my ED took advantage and took the room for himself. lol. We appreciate the extra blankets and we each had our own room.
