Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Appomattox County

We loved the attention to detail that Danielle gave with our particular stay. We were there for a graduation and she included a grad balloon and we also had dogs and she provided a little goodie bag for them and dog bowls, etc. Nice touches!

Great spot near downtown Lynchburg in the historic district. Very thoughtful design and finishes throughout. Would recommend!

We stayed at this home for W&L graduation. It was just as described and was well-appointed and clean. There was a ramp to the first floor which was accommodated one of our guests who had mobility issues. The home has plenty of space and worked well for our group of 8. It is in a somewhat remote location (which we knew when we booked) with beautiful views of the mountains. The hosts were responsive to all of our inquiries. Unfortunately, now that our son has graduated we probably won't have an occasion to stay here again but we would definitely recommend it if you don't mind a 20 minute ride to the W&L campus.

This was our second time staying at Kira’s place and it was another great experience. We travel with our dogs and the cabin is the perfect place for them explore the woods or run around the yard. The cabin itself is very well equipped with kitchen appliances, electronics etc. The cabin is conveniently located less than 15 minutes from downtown where you can visit Three Roads Brewing or one of the several restaurants.

Great house! Very spacious and lots of room. House was close to everything we needed! Plenty of space and very clean! Loved the home!

Have stayed in and around Amherst and Lynchburg with Airbnb MANY times... this is our new favorite!

Brand new, nicely furnished, good water pressure, balcony was wonderful, beds comfortable, will try to stay here again the next time we are in Lynchburg

It’s really hard to say adequately how wonderful our stay here was. We were here for our son’s college graduation & military commissioning at Liberty University, which is only about a 15 minute drive but feels worlds away from the chaos of the graduation. We almost didn’t consider this place because of having to share a bathroom with 3 teenagers. But the bathroom was so large, incredibly clean, & had so many towels & towel racks it didn’t feel difficult at all. I sat out on the front porch or on the Adirondack chairs every day. And our family used the covered patio area they built off to the side for several meals with extended family that would pop by. Mike & Alice are fantastic hosts. My husband’s favorite part with how friendly response if they were with anything that we desired, even restocking the waters. I loved the history they put together about the house. It really is such a great place and made our trip incredibly special. So special it may ruin every other Airbnb for us.

Had a lovely stay in Dan's basement apartment! The unit was so clean and well-taken care of. It was easy to make ourselves at home. Dan and Karen are great hosts. My partner and I loved both restaurants and the hike recommended by them! Overall, this is a great spot if you are looking to get to the mountains easily and want great value. Thanks, Dan and Karen.

Loved staying here! It was perfect for my husband, baby and I. The renovations were beautiful and honestly had a lot of thoughtful little details! It was very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

The description/pictures totally matched what you got. What you don’t see visually from pictures but experience is a very clean apartment (in a beautiful neighborhood) along with little details such as noise makers, extra toiletries for emergencies (in case you forgot to bring like a toothbrush, etc) These little touches show that the host cares about you having a comfortable stay.
