Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Antrim County

The hosts were very responsive and communicative. The AC kind of went out and the hosts promptly got someone out to fix it. The setting was beautiful! We enjoyed a couple days on the boat (Northaire rentals), then did day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island and then a down day with the kayaks and SUP. My husband enjoyed fishing off the Dockside Pier. We enjoyed ice cream at Moomers, local cider at Royal Farms and our best meal at Toonie’s for Friday fish fry. Us southerners should have been better prepared for colder water and later seasons. The longer days also threw us for a loop but still a great first trip to Michigan!

Sarah was extremely communicative, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. She even checked in on us one night to make sure we knew how to turn the heat on. (Very sweet!) The cottage is clean and comfortable, with everything you need for a long weekend. We enjoyed the fire-pit and board games! The area is gorgeous, with quick access to Traverse, Petosky, and Charlevoix. We saw lots of deer, bunnies, and squirrels, and the leaves were absolutely gorgeous! This is a GREAT little hideaway! This place was perfect! More than enough space, the location is walkable to downtown, and the hot tub was exactly what we needed. The original vintage appliances were a cute touch (they don’t make stuff that lasts like that anymore LoL).

Extremely clean rental, pet friendly and fantastic location. The property was perfect for my husband and I and our 28 yo son. We were visiting family in the area and had hoped for a warm day on Torch Lake (only a mile from the public access). Nicely appointed kitchen and everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing weekend. Highly recommend and would definitely book this property in the future!

Spent Memorial Day weekend in this peaceful home amid the trees and beautiful scenery. The house was spectacular and the responsiveness spot on. Our family didn’t want to leave. Thanks for having us and I hope many others enjoy as much as we did.

Very convenient to downtown.

The apartment was perfect for a weekend getaway to go skiing! The photos of the place matched what we experienced - the place was clean, the towels and other linens were nice, and the shower head was good. Not all places get linens and the shower right, which is very important after a long day of skiing!

Amanda was quick to respond, had all the amenities. Beds were comfy and surroundings were beautiful. Would recommend for sure!

This place is a gem. The free bikes were clutch to ride around town and check out the distillery and breweries. Shorts has such good food! Do not sleep on the pretzels! The room, shared outdoor area and jacuzzi were lovely. The water flow sounds and the wildlife were amazing, lots of sweet deer to fawn over. I would definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay while in town to ski. Easy walking distance to restaurants for a person that enjoys walking, even in the cold. Thanks for letting us stay in your cute airbnb!! Don and Jill

Great little place to stay while skiing at Schuss. Couldn’t be more convenient - Ivan’s, ticket office, and lifts just steps away. Room was clean and fully stocked with everything you could need for a ski weekend. Hosts were great communicators. Thanks for a great Michigan winter weekend!

Very nice rental, exactly as pictured. Location was perfect for skiing, tubing, indoor pool access, resort restaurants. Everything within minutes to Schuss Mountain, Shanty Creek or Bellaire (Short’s brewery). Very cozy space. Fireplace was great, comfortable seating/bed, coffee pods. Would definitely come back.

The efficiency apartment was perfect with great amenities! The host even had a 50 amp outlet for my Tesla to charge! I would definitely recommend this place! It was also near the Charlevoix yacht club where my daughter got married! Beautiful place!

It was better than expected. The place was clean, amenities were thoughtful. Everything we needed was there. The host definitely had the guests best interest in mind. . Very pleased. 5 star host for sure.

The property at Boyne is a classic and has maintained a warm place in our memories which we have returned to decades ago after decades. There is history and seasoning in everything which has traveled and joined in our time and hopes every time we attend.

There’s something magical about Shanty Creek. It’s our little escape each year, and this visit was just what we needed. Mornings with coffee, evenings with sunsets—those peaceful balcony views never get old. The space is cozy, calm, and always feels like a gentle pause from the world. It gave us room to breathe, rest, and just be. Cheryl was a fantastic host who communicated with perfect detail and the space was our perfect getaway. We are already dreaming of next year’s visit!

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Elizabeth’s place and was exactly as described- beautiful lake view/sunsets, well-equipped, comfortable beds, and great layout for multi-family (a plus I could bring my pup along)! It was a perfect centralized location to the activities we had planned for Memorial Day weekend (1 hr to Mackinaw City, 1 hr to Traverse City, 10 minutes to Boyne City, 30 minutes to Charlevoix and Petoskey). Elizabeth was very responsive and ensured check-in/check-out went smoothly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Everything was great! We had an amazing time and this place met everyone’s needs!

I stayed last week as I am traveling to the area for work. Last week I outlined a couple minor things that could use some attention and Jake is getting that all taken care of. this week I’m giving it five stars because it is a very great value a good location and the beds and pillows were super comfortable. The place is overall clean. Everything works well and it’s comfortable. And Jake is extremely responsive to anything or concerns you might have.

Great stay overall. Scott made it easy and was very responsive. The location was very walkable to the ski mountain and surrounding restaurants/shops.
