I really enjoyed my stay here. The cottage was lovely, Hemsley is a beautiful place. Louise was an excellent host, she was so responsive to any queries - the communication was excellent. I would highly recommend this cottage to others.

Seaves Mill luxury cottage Brandsby north of York.

NaomiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We visited Joanna's cottage to celebrate my husband's 50th , as a family of 4 with two teenage sons. We were excited about visiting Yorkshire, as a new County for us. It did not disappoint! We arrived to a lit log burner, fresh sourdough bread, luxurious butter, fresh flowers throughout, chocolates and other personal touches, that made us feel like we were in a 5* setting. The cottage is fully equipped and also has books, board games , maps and guides. The roll top bath was a real treat and all the provided soaps and moisturiser, was from local purveyors in Helmsley and Wetherby. Both Joanna and Phil gave brilliant advice of where to eat and places to visit. Even though they live on the grounds, you felt like you were very private and had the whole grounds to yourself. The location is perfect to visit York, catch the Yorkshire Heritage Train to Whitby from Pickering and to visit many picturesque villages with welcoming locals and inviting ancient pubs and churches. We will be back

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage! The space is cozy, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, with a super comfy bed. The cottage is very well equipped with everything we needed, which made our stay incredibly easy and comfortable. The location is peaceful and surrounded by stunning scenery—ideal for a relaxing getaway or a quiet weekend in nature. We especially enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the lovely walks nearby. Our host was fantastic—very friendly, responsive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we booked. Highly recommend this little gem and would love to come back!

Old Bald Peg, North York Moors, character cottage

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Angela’s place is an absolute gem - she really goes above and beyond as a host. We were greeted by a wonderful basket of homemade goodies - jam, bread and Yorkshire loaf, as well as milk, butter, juice and breakfast things - all so generous. And there were lots of lovely touches - from fluffy bathrobes and slippers to toiletries. Angela herself was super friendly, responsive and helpful - we had a lovely chat when we arrived and she was available to help with anything we needed. The cottage was in a great location for exploring the north York moors and all that the area has to offer - York and Whitby also a day trip away. The atmospheric Byland Abbey is a ten minute walk away and two excellent walkable pubs are nearby - one with very good food only one minute walk from the cottage! I would thoroughly recommend Old Bald Peg. A wonderful spot. And if you do stay, make sure you ask Angela about how the cottage got its name! :) thanks for a really special stay.

We had a lovely time at Liz’s place. It was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. It’s in a small, pretty village. 2min walk from the 2 local pubs and a perfect base to explore the area, 30min drive from York and Castle Howard . Liz was very friendly and always quick to respond. Our daughter was also lucky to play with Liz’s friendly dog Nellie. Highly recommend her place!

Annie - superb lodge in exceptional Park location

BethanyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a lovely few days! Went away with my mum as a birthday treat and it was lovely. The hot tub was hot and waiting for us, and the hut itself was lovely and clean and very cosy! Our hosts were lovely, we even met their super cute dogs. They couldn’t do more for us. It was a beautiful few days. You are right next to another hut, but this didn’t bother us as it still felt quiet and peaceful. Overall a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend!
