Great spot to stay, was in town working three of us stayed in the little cabin with no problem.

Place is exactly as described and in pictures, in fact, I believe even better. Mediterranean feel but in a cabin overlooking canyon. Seems remodeled or at least very well kept up, beautiful platform outside to take in special canyon view. All amenities needed in house. Grab groceries prior to getting to cabin since it is about 10-15 miles away from local markets and restaurant. Overall, great!

This was a great place to stay. All of the essentials for a good stay were available. The location was especially good for anybody that doesn’t want to be in the city, but not far from activities that could be happening in the city. Would stay again.

The house was exceptionally clean and was a GREAT location with a GREAT view! We took two elementary age kids and two dogs and everyone enjoyed it. The views were excellent. The kids had an area to play (swings, climbing pole, horseshoes, etc.) right by the house. The walking path was great for all of us in the evening. We also enjoyed seeing some of the wildlife in the area. The host was available through the entirity of the booking and stay. We would not hesitate to stay again and have already recommended to friends/family!

A Truly Spectacular Stay The property was absolutely gorgeous, exuding charm and beauty in every corner. It had everything we needed to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable, from well-thought-out amenities to a welcoming atmosphere. The scenery added a level of tranquility and wonder that made our experience unforgettable. I recommend this place to anyone seeking a perfect getaway. It seamlessly combines comfort, beauty, and stunning vistas for a truly remarkable escape.

We enjoyed our time in the Rustic Highland! Everything was exactly how mentioned and we even saw two Aoudad sheep the first morning when we stepped out onto the patio. We would love to return. This location was easy access to Palo Duro Canyon Ranch and State Park. Having the Sad Monkey close was a nice convenience and they have everything you may need and want!

Fantastic setting! Enjoyed the stay and the cabin was as advertised. We had not one complaint or critique. We had a blast relaxing! Thank you, Jeff.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. The cottage was perfect and offered lots of privacy for us to relax.

Really nice cabin/apt. Clean, good A/C, wi/fi had good connection. TV in every room. Nice to have washer/dryer on location. They had everything you could possible need. Super close to the State Park. About 15 minutes from town. It was the perfect size for my husband and me. Host were extremely kind and responsive. Definitely recommend. FYI...I would caution anyone with small children as there is really no area to play outside and closeness to canyon rim.

Great place. The whole family had a great time enjoying the quiet and relaxing in our trip. Definitely will stay there again!

Amazing views of the Palo Duro canyon. Very clean and comfortable beds and rooms. They had everything you need to cook. We loved the outdoor swing and rocking chairs.

Great communication before, during, and after visit. Very well equipped cabin, very clean. We would highly recommend this cavin.

This is our second stay here and will not be our last! Everything is so peaceful and lovely. The cabin is well equipped, immaculately clean and spacious. The pond is so relaxing to just sit out and enjoy the view. I loved hearing the animals while we sat on the screened in porch. The best part is how kind and friendly that Andrea is. She truly makes you feel like a welcome and wanted guest. The location and nearness to the park is wonderful-you have this beautiful area basically in your back yard! Andrea was so helpful with where to try for restaurants and left us with food for breakfast. 5 stars all around. Thank you for having us!

Beverly greeted us upon arrival with margaritas, homemade guacamole & queso. It was an incredibly relaxing stay that had everything we needed & more. The super easy check out allowed us to keep the relaxed mood as we left. We look forward to staying again.

We were in a bind after our first booking was cancelled last minute. We weren’t sure we would find anything the same day. I messaged Jeff and he got back to me in just a few minutes and helped us get a same day booking. We are so appreciative of him! The house is incredible with amazing views. I adore this house. Great camp inside a secure campground. Close to several iconic Amarillo landmarks. The park has a dedicated shuttle to and from the Big Texan Steakhouse. The cabins are a great compact space that comfortably sleeps 3 adults, a fourth of sharing the queen!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Durango Cabin at Dove's Rest Cabins from 5-16-2025 to 5-18-2025. We found it to be clean and quite comfortable. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras, like the little containers of milk in the refrigerator and the goodies on the counter. We additionally enjoyed the fantastic views of the canyon from the patio. The well-designed grounds themselves make for a perfect evening stroll to admire the sunset. We highly recommend the Dove's Rest Cabins.

Great Place to Relax and Enjoy the View We really enjoyed our stay at the Santa Fe Cabin at Doves Rest. The location is hard to beat — right on the rim of Palo Duro Canyon with amazing views, especially at sunrise and sunset. It was quiet, peaceful, and a perfect spot to unwind. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed. We liked the mix of rustic and modern touches, and the bed was very comfortable after long days of hiking. It’s also just 5 minutes to the state park, which made getting out and exploring easy. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway near Palo Duro.
