Best kept secret in Sintra! This was my fourth trip to Sintra and Carlos and Madalena’s place was beyond magical! Beautiful, serene location, peaceful and quiet, perfectly comfortable in every way! I worked remotely while there and the internet was super fast and the apartment perfectly equipped with everything one could need - including a Nespresso machine! (I wasn’t sure so I brought a portable one from home!) Carlos and Madalena were wonderful hosts, and I look forward to returning again soon! There is not a better, more beautiful, nor more ideally suited location in all Sintra! Thanks for an exceptional stay! Super easy walk down to the historic center. Evening cocktails next door at Palacio Seteais was a wonderful treat. Grocery and food delivery via Uber Eats was super easy, and many great restaurants and attractions within walking distance! 12 days was not enough! PS - for anyone visiting Sintra - Pastelaria Gregorio’s Broas de Mel (Honey Cookies) are NOT to be missed!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The house is in a quiet area very near to all the Knights Templars castles which we wanted to visit. Having the small swimming pool was a great addition. There are lots of good restaurants nearby.

Very nice Airbnb, with a lot of nature around, close to Lissabon & the beach.. Easy communication, would recommend :)

Just back from a fantastic week. The best airbnb we have visited to date. Larger than photos look with a great layout. Lovely bedrooms that are both en-suite, as well as an additional two bathrooms! Indoor living room adjoined to a great conservatory area overlooking the playpark (great for our toddler) and views! We could eat in a different setting for each meal - with the outdoor seating our favourite for evenings and the upstairs terrace for morning coffee! Oh and the pool - beautiful and warm and so private. Lovely green space surrounding the pool where all you can hear is the birds - and the breeze was lovely. Hosts were fab! Only thing that could make it better would be option to talk to cafe or bar…: but then you would lose some of the peace! So for us… it was perfect!

Staying in Ani's beautiful guesthouse was an absolute delight. Not only was the surrounding area picturesque, Ani made us feel right at home with her welcoming fruits and veggies. The location is a little drive away from Lisbon, but the surrounding area and towns are worth exploring and offer more than enough. I would say the pool was our favourite part, but the lovely cats that came to visit us from time to time stole the show. All and all a lovely time, we will be back if we're ever in the area again.

We had a fantastic stay with Laura and Ben. The place is close to countless golden cafes and great restaurants. You can get to Sintra very quickly and from there also in Lisbon. You share the pool and terrace with the guests of the main house.

I had a wonderful stay! The accommodation was spotlessly clean, stylishly furnished (especially the art is just stunning) and exactly as shown in the photos. The location was perfect – quiet and perfect for me to work and yet still central, near the coast and lisbon was perfectly to reach as well as by car or by bus. I especially want to highlight the hospitality – Joanna was super friendly, helpful, and always available if I had any questions. She offered me some food because i came on a day an electric shutdown day, where it was more than chaotoic in the city, she gave me extra towls when my friends came over and she fixed problems immediately. I felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime. Highly recommended!

Filipe and Leonor are very good hosts. Communication was perfect from start to finish, they are very responsive. The accommodation is just great, everything has been thought of and is suitable for the couple and infant. It was our first family vacation as a family of 3 and it was simply wonderful. The trains pass by but we don't hear them, so you can go ahead and make your reservations😊. Filipe and Leonor have several properties, so don't hesitate: look at them all and make your choice, you won't be disappointed. Sandra was a terrific host and her place was perfect for our short stay with our 18-month-old little boy. Sandra provided extra toys and we really enjoyed the big open plan space knowing he was safe and in view at all times. It is only a short walk to the beach and a very quiet neighbourhood. The bedroom is very big and has great blackout shutters. Thank you, Sandra.

Gabriel’s home is a paradise in Portugal. Perfectly situated and with the most magical treehouse you could ever imagine. Clean and comfortable. He was welcoming, kind, informative, and a wonderful connection to make in the world. How could you not fall in love with Portugal after an experience like this?

Wonderful stay at Elizângela's house! In addition to the friendliness and kindness, the house was impeccably clean and tidy, containing what is necessary for a few relaxing days and away from the movement of the big city. Very close by, about 2 to 3 km is the Praia Fluvial dos Olhos de Água which is simply beautiful. The house had TV service (vodafone), books, game console, and other board games, as well as an outdoor space with basketball basket and BBQ, ideal for spending time outdoors and going with children. In addition Elizângela and her family accept animals, which allowed her to take my dog Nina and include her in these Easter minifteries. I recommend it to everyone and it would definitely be a repeat stay. Thank you for everything, we feel at home!

Very nice place to stay!

Beautiful location: great for walking locally, plenty of historic sites nearby, the coast is only a short drive away. The bungalow has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. Beautiful view from the lounge. Very friendly host.

Such a great relaxing stay. The beach was beautiful and restaurants were walkable and delicious! We will return!

We had a nice holiday with our family. The house is very clean and tidy. A cupboard with toys for our daughter was very popular. The pool was wonderful and there are several places in the garden to sit. We also received a basket of peas from our own harvest and my daughter was allowed to pick fresh strawberries. Very nice and welcoming. Recommended if you are looking for a quiet stay in a quiet area.

The apartment is true to the description. The best thing is the pool and the space around it that is shared with other tenants, but we rarely saw them. Inside we only missed that the TV was only in French (although you can access apps like Netflix) and an oven, but both things did not seem essential to us. Didier was very friendly and hospitable. Too bad we couldn't talk much because we don't speak the same languages. We had a small problem in the apartment due to a lack of understanding, but as soon as we understood each other, he solved it quickly. The house is close to Foz do Arelho (within walking distance) and the beach. Foz is small, quiet and pleasant with a few restaurants and shops. A 15-minute drive away you have Caldas da Rainha with all the amenities (hypermarkets, restaurants...). In short: an apartment without great luxuries but with the essentials, with a spectacular outdoor space and close to the beach. Very nice hosts.

We traveled as a couple. It was a real moment of relaxation. Everything was set up by Alexandra to make us feel at home and to make sure we didn't miss anything. Alexandra is very attentive to our needs and is also very discreet. Everything is similar to the photos and descriptions. Elió and Ju are fantastic hosts! Communication and access to the house was flawless and the place itself is a little gem. But what stood out was their engagement in making us feel at home.
