A very well equipped and quiet apartment on the edge of Rothbury in easy walking distance of local facilities. It might have proved challenging to find but Matthew's directions were easy to follow. Everything we required was available and although we did not meet Matthew, he responded immediately to any inquiries we made.

It is a really nice place to stay, lovely private garden and watching the birds on the bird feeder was amazing, I counted over 10 different species! The beds & pillows were excellent and my daughter & I slept really well. Excellent Airbnb

Oriel House was stunning! One of the best places we have stayed in. It was spacious, well equipped, very clean and the beds were so comfortable. Bedding and towels were super clean. Opening the curtains in the morning from the main bedroom to a beautiful castle was so lovely. Walking distance to a shop, pubs and the beach. Grace was a great host, she replied very quickly and gave information/recommendations and the welcome treat on arrival was a lovely touch. We didn’t want to leave Oriel House as we had a fab time. Definitely recommend Oriel House and Northumberland. ❤️❤️

A very comfortable apartment in a brilliant setting, ideal for a week away. The view from the bedroom was amazing. Loads of walks nearby, Cragside a couple of miles away. Andy and Lyd were friendly and helpful and the provision of bird seed to feed our feathered visitors was a very nice touch. We'd definitely stay here again.

One of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. Clean, extremely comfortable with everything you could need and lots of little extra touches. Great for the dogs with secure garden and loads of beach walks a short drive away and a really nice long loop walk around nearby fields right from the door. You really feel at home and we had an amazing week. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you

We loved our very brief overnight stay at The Bear and Bank House, Ross has created lovely quirky, immaculately clean and well equipped accommodation, full of character right in the hub of Alnwick. Beautiful bathroom, kitchen very well equipped and a very comfy bed. We know Alnwick very well and it is perfectly located to visit the castle, Barter Books and the lovely range of good restaurants and shops too! Long stay parking is a two minute walk around the corner in Pottergate, free for 24 hours too and it was no issue for us to park our car a short walk away. We had no problem at all with the stairs, but bear in mind (excuse the pun!) that the accommodation is over three floors, stairs to the kitchen and living room, then another flight up to the two bedrooms, then the bathroom on the top floor. Stairs are steep and narrow but plenty of grab rails and banisters - it is not ideal for anyone who struggles with stairs or mobility issues. Thank you Ross - we will return! :)

An absolutely beautiful accommodation, comfortable & large in a glorious setting. Zoe is so friendly, unassuming & helpful. Encouraged us to wander around her lovely garden, the very old courtyard & surroundings. Her dogs & cats add to the pleasant home stay atmosphere. The breakfast supplies, tea & coffee were very generous. Zoe booked us into a nearby pub for dinner which was a good idea as they can be very busy. There are a number of things to see in nearby towns. We would have loved to have stayed for much longer & will definitely return to Zoe’s if we ever get back to the UK.

We had a lovely stay at Will & Dawn’s place. They’re very friendly and helpful in providing all the instructions and information we needed ahead of our trip. Our children love playing (and feeding!) their rabbits & hamsters and the indoor heated swimming pool was simply a bonus to have when it’s raining outside. The place was very cosy & clean and it’s a great location to explore Northumberland!

Lovely stay. Perfect base for exploring the Northumbrian coast. Couple of minutes walk from Seahouses Harbour and beach (we spent many hours on the rocks spotting birds and enjoying the peaceful surrounding). Steven provided clear instructions before arrival and in the welcome pack including local recommendations. It was clean and comfortable, quiet and very well equipped, just what we wanted.

Fantastic little abode - highly recommend for a night away in Newcastle.

Had a fantastic stay at Lynnes beautiful Airbnb. Fantastic hosts who have transformed part of their home into a little private sanctuary. Great location for easy access into Newcastle and surrounding areas using the metro which is a 5/10 minute walk from the door.

This was our third stay at this lovely flat and we can only reiterate the reviews we posted previously... Great flat in a perfect location for touring Northumberland as well as looking around Alnwick. Clean and nicely furnished. Easy parking with the parking disc. Communication excellent. I had a query on arrival which was very quickly resolved by a very helpful phone call. If you want to self cater there is a Morrisons less than 5 mins walk away. Otherwise there are lots of restaurants and takeaways. This flat is highly recommended. We will return!!

We had a wonderful stay here. So close to Wooler, yet out in the country. This was the best airbnb of the trip - it is very well-stocked, full kitchen, spacious living/dining room, high ceilings and lovely old floor boards. The bed was so comfortable. We highly recommend staying here although you will need a car. We were able to do many excursions within 30 minute drives and it was a lovely place to come back to.

Had a lovely few days here with my family. It's a beautiful quirky apartment in a lovely location. The host provided us with lots of information and recommendations regarding the local area. We really enjoyed our stay here.

A lovely apartment, bright and comfortable in a historic area of Newcastle, near to the castle and cathedral. Lots of good restaurants on the doorstep, a perfect place to stay.

Fab stay at Diane's place. Lovely apartment equipped with everything you could need for a holiday. Loved the location which is peaceful and close to the beach and nature, yet also a great base for exploring.

We used Jen’s house as a stop over and it was very comfortable. Perfect distance from Newcastle City Centre and other areas.

Booked as I was working in the area and bored of hotels. It made a few days working away bearable. The apartment was exactly as described, immaculately clean and modern. Once inside it's really private no noise, and very calm decor. Kathryn was really responsive and keen to ensure I was comfortable and all needs met. Will definitely be booking again when staying in the North East for work, a lovely home away from home.

Fintan's place is located in the attractive village of Ovingham and is very convenient for accessing places along the Tyne Valley as well as Hadrian's Wall. The bed and shower were both great and all essential needs are provided for.

From start to finish I felt really at home at Lisa's place. I know there are comments from Lisa about the location, but actually I found it straightforward to commute into Newcastle city centre on public transport (a bus stop across the street and other options within a 10 minute walk). Even better by car as the motorway is nearby. I found that Lisa had made every effort to make me feel welcome and it was the additional things like providing shower gel, shampoo etc... and milk & bottled water in the fridge was a really nice touch. I would love to stay at Lisa's place again. Thank you.
