Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Almira Township

I stayed at Melissa's place with a group of 4 other girls for my sister's bachelorette party. Not only was the space perfect sized for our group, but the girls and I could not get over how amazing the property was. We obsessed over the view from the kitchen window, the decor and gingham curtains in the living room, and the loft bedroom. Everything was so well done and thought through and we spent a majority of our time during the weekend hanging out at the house, having dinner on the front porch, and admiring the baby pigs!! And when we did venture into Sutton's Bay or Traverse City, the ride was smooth and had beautiful scenery of up north Michigan. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked and the linens were definitely adequate for all of us to sleep comfortably. I will definitely be booking here again!

We loved our stay at this home! The host was fantastic, and the accommodations were everything we could want. The host supplied every amenity listed, plus more that you didn't even know you might need. Excellent location, very quiet, plenty of space. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Traverse City.

This was our 2nd stay and it was an extended one. Carol is always responsive and warm. We were up there for the last 3 weeks of IAA and had family coming in and out of the area. Working with Carol in advance, so she was aware of our plans, we were able to have grandparents join us for a performance weekend, friends over to get ready for Morp, and plenty of space to re-pack the dorm room for storage and returning home! We were also able to easily work remotely. I honestly hesitate to gush too much about this place - but Carol deserves it! This will always be our go to play to stay when we’re up visiting the Academy!

Our stay in Interlochen at John’s place was great! The hosts went above and beyond our expectations and provided board/card games, pre-chopped wood for the fire pit, and a variety of snacks. The kitchen was fully stocked and the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious.

Craig's home I believe is closer to Solon, but in that general area. A great home for 2-4 people. Country setting is very peaceful. The tip to pick up any groceries before heading to the home is a great tip as it is 7-10 minutes from a local market. We enjoyed our relaxing time in the home for couple of days. We loved the use of the kitchen, and use of the washer & dryer.

This was by far the best airbnb stay I have ever had! The house was gorgeous, so well decorated and thoughtful. Had everything we needed from ample towels, amenities, kitchen supplies, bedding etc. The host was so helpful and gave great instructions! We truly did not need a thing during our stay but felt like if we did we would have gotten prompt quick responses. For a group of 5 girls that have been friends going on 20 years this was the most perfect stay for our girls trip. 10000/10 recommend.

Brenda and her husband were amazing just like their place. We had a chance to meet, talk and share stories. They were gentle, humble and kind! The view from the top of the hill was beautiful! The games and coloring set they had was perfect for a lazy night! If we find ourselves back in the area we will be back!

This is such a beautiful place. Really is a slice of heaven. You have to experience it to see the real magic. Beautiful private beach, sunrises, beach bonfire, private deck spaces and the living areas are the cleanest rooms I have experienced. The hosts are so responsive to anything you need. Listen to their recommendations of places to visit or dine and you will have the best experience.

My partner and I’s stay at Jeffrey and Holly’s suite was outstanding. The space felt incredibly homely, with cozy decor and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. It was spotless and well-equipped with snacks, coffee, beach amenities, you name it - and we loved using their kayaks for exploring Silver Lake. They were friendly and provided smooth check-in instructions. The price for the area far beats any hotel we could have booked considering how comfortable, clean, and private the unit was. As other reviews said, mechanical noises and footsteps can be heard, but this did not bother us at all. We loved this unit so much, we will probably check the availability for our next trip to TC. This was hands down the best AirBNB we’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

We stayed for a wedding and it was a great clean space with plenty of amenities!

Dave was extremely responsive when I needed and even left a bottle of Mawby in the fridge. It was a great way to start a work conference in TC. I highly recommend any of his locations!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the penthouse. The views were incredible. The space was so clean and inviting. It was a great landing place at night while we explored northwest Michigans beautiful landscape. Definitely would recommend to others!

We had a great time at Mary’s Airbnb. The place was clean, comfortable, and the location is beautiful. The Airbnb is a 15 minute drive to many different shopping, hiking, and biking options. I stayed for my birthday and Mary gifted us a lovely bottle of wine. The Airbnb also included lots of thoughtful details like local coffee beans, apple cake loaf, and locally made soap. We will definitely stay again the next time we’re up in the TC area.

I had such a wonderful time staying here with my soon-to-be fiancé and his family while visiting my parents in Michigan. We spent one night in Traverse City, enjoying downtown shopping and restaurants! The location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to explore. The place itself was very clean, and communication with Jeff was timely and much appreciated. A great experience overall!

This is one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed at. It looked like the photos, so there was no disappointment up upon arrival. Everything was so clean and she even has little accessories to bring to the beach like beach chairs or boogie board and a cute little cooler. There are such thoughtful things around the place to make you feel like Home. Also, there are too many split air conditioning units that made this day very comfortable during the heat wave. Across the street from two very good restaurants, and on top of a little ice cream shop. I would very much recommend this place to anybody. I was without a car for part of my stay and that was not an issue at all. It’s a walkable distance to food establishments across the street as well as the local beach access. Super super cute. I Will definitely come back to this place If we visit the city again.

This was our first time in Michigan and Traverse city and we felt right at home in Natalia’s AirBnb. This place was honestly one of the best AirBnb’s I have ever stayed at in almost 20 years of using this service. The place is spacious, spotless and well equipped. Natalia has almost everything you can think of for amenities in both the kitchen and the bathroom. The place has a designer’s touch and looks like it could be featured in Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel. The other bonus is how close the place is to all the restaurants and waterfront. Don’t even hesitate to book her AirBnb. Highly recommended and this is coming from a picky person!

Carrie was a phenomenal host. From the moment I booked she had already gave me extremely detailed check in instructions, recommendations, ways to contact her, and best of all a sincere greeting. She was as pleased to give us a great experience as we were to receive one. She exceeded our expectations by miles when it came to hospitality. The home itself was clean, beautiful and a few minute walk from downtown. One of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in awhile with how cozy the bedroom is. Would absolutely book it again when I return. The only downside I had was paying almost 300 for a single night was a bit high considering I spent that much for 3 nights in Chicago. However, I do believe that is pretty standard for Traverse City in general so can’t blame them too much honestly. Other properties I looked at were in the 400 and 500 ranges so I guess you could say it’s relatively cheaper than many others in the same area. Overall, Carrie was a great host with an amazing home.

Great location in walkable neighborhood close to restaurants and shops. Condo was very clean and a great space.
