Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Alfama, Lisbon

Everything is as published, everything is very cozy and absolutely clean, they are in the smallest details from children's games to a courtesy wine and cakes and a gift! The treatment of Arthur and his family is excellent, I recommend them for a trip to Lisbon. I only make one recommendation outside of the apartment and that does not depend on Arthur, although the location is excellent, you have to take into account that the apartment is on the first floor by stairs and the location is also upstairs, it has steep streets and slippery sidewalks which is difficult for older adults to go up and down the accommodation. I highly recommend this apartment and especially its owners!

We had a lovely stay at the accommodation. The place was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and made it easy to prepare meals. We really enjoyed spending time in the garden as it is a peaceful spot to relax. Even a sun lounger was provided.

We had a fantastic stay at Sofia’s Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality. She took the time to personally meet us, brought us some fresh Pastéis de Belém and wine, which made our experience feel very special. Her instructions and recommendations were incredibly helpful, ensuring we felt comfortable and knew the best places to explore. Whether it was tips on local restaurants or guidance on how to navigate the area, her insights made our trip so much smoother. The space itself was cozy and well-equiped, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The appartement is on 3 floors, there is 1 bathroom on 1st floor to be used for bedroom on 3rd floor. The other bathroom is within the masterbed room. We truly appreciate the personal touch and care that Sofia puts into hosting, and we would highly recommend her place to anyone looking for a great experience. She also accomodated an earlier check-in as our flights arrived early morning.

You're not gonna find a much better situated airbnb in all of Lisbon! Tucked away in a quiet street at the top of Alfama, this house offers a beautiful way of taking in my favorite neighbourhood in Europe. The backyard is a great touch as well, and probably quite rare for this area of the city! I had a very relaxing stay :)

Ricardos Place was great for our family of four (Kids 3,5 and 5 months). Easily accessible, a lot of cool stuff for kids and close to some interesting places and public transportation. Just around a Main Street the place is truly calm and we felt safe at all times. The place is great for lovers of architecture and has a really nice color gamma. We found a bottle of wine and enjoyed our time at Ricardo’s place very much…

Such a special place! The beach house was wonderful to stay in, waking up to that view and the children being able to run down to the sea was amazing. The beach house was very clean and just as described and the host very helpful & responsive. The host also recommended the local restaurant and what to get so we had gorgeous grilled fish delivered to the house each night. One of my most favorite holidays, we can’t wait to come back.

We stayed here for one night when we flew into Lisbon. We caught a Bolt from the airport and it was very easy for the driver to get to using the instructions provided. The check in instructions were very clear and easy to follow. We were in Lisbon during a festival, so celebrations went late into the night. However, since the apartment is tucked away from the street front, and the bedroom is internal to the building the noise from outside didn't bother us. We didn't use the kitchen, so can't comment on those facilities, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good. Overall, the apartment was neat and tidy and we enjoyed our short stay.

I fully recommend Filippe’s beautiful and spacious apartment for a Lisbon stay. It’s in a great position so we walked most places but it’s also close to trams and trains. Excellent shopping, cafes, bars and restaurants are all around and Filippe helped with recommendations. The only small problem was the difficulty of adjusting the air conditioning but it was still comfortable. I would return.

Our time in Lisbon was amazing and the flat is exactly as described! Such a cute place. Would come back again.

The apartment looked like the photos. Everything was clean and comfortable. We were happy to use the elevator. The staircase was very pretty. The hallways were very clean.

Antije's small attic is an intimate, quiet place overlooking the Tagus and the city's rooftops. Located in a very central area, close to 5 minutes by bus, Apolonia station and metro. Antije is a perfect host. Very kind, ready to give advice based on the needs of the guest, advice on what to do in the evening and where to dine, advice on cultural events taking place during the days of stay. One thing that is worth more than all the others, which were also perfect, is the very comfortable bed. It's not easy to find super comfortable beds, but the one at Antije's house is!

I really appreciated how kind and helpful you were, and all the travel tips you shared were incredibly useful. Thank you also for the generous snacks! Most of all, the location was perfect — there are so many great restaurants within walking distance. If I ever visit Lisbon again, I would definitely love to stay here once more. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

We enjoyed our stay as it is located in a great location with a lot of restaurants close by. It can be a little noisy in the evenings.

Filipa was an excellent host. She was very easy to communicate with and met us at the apartment on arrival to let us in. She gave us a very comprehensive orientation to the apartment and Lisbon with good recommendations for eating nearby. The apartment is as described and appears in the photos and is very well provided with amenities. The location is fabulous, so close and walking distance to most popular sights. Due to its central location there can be some street noise but with the windows shut at night we were not disturbed by it. Would highly recommend staying here. Thanks Filipa.

Paulo is an exceptional hotel! He picked us up at the airport and showed us around the neighborhood with many very qualitative recommendations! the accommodation is in a very quiet street but only 2 steps from the famous June party in the Alfama district of Lisbon. Everything was perfect! Thanks again!

Absolutely loved this apartment. It's in a great location in Alfama and has a great view of the Monastery of São Vicente. The apartment is spacious and clean, a very comfortable and stylish base for exploring Lisbon. Rita and Isabel were gracious hosts and provided clear instructions and helpful recommendations for local dining and shopping. Be sure to visit the local artisanal bakery Flora just around the block from the apartment.

The condo was better than expected, beautiful and pristine with all the necessary kitchen items. The bedding and towels smelled wonderful!

Ana and her partners are wonderful, charming, welcoming hosts. Throughout the entire process from booking the place to check-out, the hosts were available, attentive, informative and above all, kind and pleasant. The property looks just like in the pictures, clean and beautiful, with attention to detail. The view from the living room window is spectacular and the neighborhood has good restaurants, cafes, a supermarket and convenient transportation. Everything we wanted or needed was in the apartment and everything was tastefully decorated. The sofa is also very comfortable for those who want to sleep in the living room, the bedding is clean and pleasant. Lisbon was good to us and Ana and her partner are a big part of the welcome, experience and enjoyment of the place. We highly recommend the apartment and the hosts, if we return to Lisbon in the future, we will definitely want reserve the apartment again.

Enjoyed our stay at Ilda’s apartment. Great location and balcony. At the very top of a steep hill was difficult for some of our group but worth the view.

We absolutely loved our stay at Nuno’s place! It’s cozy, quiet, and thoughtfully equipped, with a super convenient location. There’s a fantastic restaurant right on the corner, and the railway station is just a short walk away, making it easy to explore nearby towns and the beach. You’ll also find plenty of charming cafés, great restaurants, Fado music clubs, and shops all within walking distance. The entire experience was a joy from start to finish!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in this space. It was easy to check in and the apartment was extremely spacious, comfortable, and clean. The location was perfect, and there were no noise issues despite being in a busy part of Lisbon. Would definitely recommend booking a stay in this space!

The apartment is fantastic, like staying in a piece of history. Wilfried has taken great care with the renovations and has also kitted out the apartment with high quality bedding and toiletries. Kitchen is really well equipped and Wilfried provided a vast array of coffees and teas. The rooms and bathroom layout worked well for us, a family of five with three grown-up sons, so everyone had their own room and slept well. The location is perfect, very central and easy to walk to most attractions or use Uber for going slightly further out. Its in a busy location with a lovely atmosphere. We weren't troubled by any noise - the trams and bars also close relatively early anyway. Wilfried is great and pro-active communicator. Everything was clean and Eugenia was a delight to meet. Thank you, we would love to stay again.
