Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Alfama, Lisbon

Huge apartment with amazing views over the sea and up to the moorish castle. Looked exactly like the photos. Lisa was so friendly and helpful when we met her and she also answered any queries almost immediately prior to our arrival. Would highly recommend to all

We had a lovely stay at the accommodation. The place was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and made it easy to prepare meals. We really enjoyed spending time in the garden as it is a peaceful spot to relax. Even a sun lounger was provided.

Everything is as published, everything is very cozy and absolutely clean, they are in the smallest details from children's games to a courtesy wine and cakes and a gift! The treatment of Arthur and his family is excellent, I recommend them for a trip to Lisbon. I only make one recommendation outside of the apartment and that does not depend on Arthur, although the location is excellent, you have to take into account that the apartment is on the first floor by stairs and the location is also upstairs, it has steep streets and slippery sidewalks which is difficult for older adults to go up and down the accommodation. I highly recommend this apartment and especially its owners!

We had a fantastic stay at Sofia’s Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality. She took the time to personally meet us, brought us some fresh Pastéis de Belém and wine, which made our experience feel very special. Her instructions and recommendations were incredibly helpful, ensuring we felt comfortable and knew the best places to explore. Whether it was tips on local restaurants or guidance on how to navigate the area, her insights made our trip so much smoother. The space itself was cozy and well-equiped, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The appartement is on 3 floors, there is 1 bathroom on 1st floor to be used for bedroom on 3rd floor. The other bathroom is within the masterbed room. We truly appreciate the personal touch and care that Sofia puts into hosting, and we would highly recommend her place to anyone looking for a great experience. She also accomodated an earlier check-in as our flights arrived early morning.

You're not gonna find a much better situated airbnb in all of Lisbon! Tucked away in a quiet street at the top of Alfama, this house offers a beautiful way of taking in my favorite neighbourhood in Europe. The backyard is a great touch as well, and probably quite rare for this area of the city! I had a very relaxing stay :)

Such a special place! The beach house was wonderful to stay in, waking up to that view and the children being able to run down to the sea was amazing. The beach house was very clean and just as described and the host very helpful & responsive. The host also recommended the local restaurant and what to get so we had gorgeous grilled fish delivered to the house each night. One of my most favorite holidays, we can’t wait to come back.

We had a great time at David’s place with our 2 kids. The beach house is only a few footsteps away from a long and beautiful beach and it provides all the required amenities. Special mention to David who, in addition to being extremely friendly, provided great recommendations and was always available to ensure our stay was good. Thank you and see you next time!

We LOVED the location of the flat which was super walkable to lots of restaurants and local entertainment/ bars, etc. During our stay it was the celebration of St. Anthony’s Day so there was lots of activity and music, singing in the walkways/alleys below which was such an amazing cultural experience. Luckily, we could close all of the windows which made the noise from the outside events barely noticeable. Thanks to Sara for her helpful tips and time spent with us upon arrival to assure we could get into the flat before check-in. I would highly recommend this space to anyone wanting a local and traditional experience in the heart of Lisbon!

Paulo was an amazing host. He picked us up at the airport, was so communicative and gave us amazing tips on what to do in Lisbon. The location of the apartment was stunning and the apartment had all the amenities we needed. It was charming and surprisingly big considering the location!

Great host and a wonderful apartment in such a fantastic location. being high up also gives you great views, whilst feeling a bit quieter and more peaceful.

Susana and her family were wonderful hosts!!! They came to meet us when our street was closed by the police due to a soccer celebration. Their apartment was exactly as described, had an elevator, and was easy to leave and come back too each day. The apartment was walking distance from two fantastic coffee shops and the restaurants near by were all excellent. They will be our first call when we make our next trip to Lisbon.

The apartment is located inn a great area - Alfama. The hike to get to the unit was tough especially when I went in the wrong direction from the train station, but Pedro was patiently waiting there for us. After our hike to get there, completing the 68 steps to the unit was a breeze. LOL The view is spectacular and saw cruise ships coming and going every day. The unit was clean, comfortable. I had issues with the TV but did not go to Lisbon to watch TV. I was connected to the Wi-FI but not the internet, which was fine as my phone did the work for me and I was not working online. Ann and Rita Have created a special space and were are grateful for the accommodations. They did a tasteful job with the decor. I would definitely recommend the unit to anyone. Great job. Sergio is a great host. Communication and check in worked perfectly. The apartment is lovely; well furnished and designed. We loved the terrace and the view. Location is also great to discover the town. As any downtown location it comes with a certain noise level on Saturday nights though which shouldn't be a surprise if travelling through Portugal in summer time but ear plugs might be useful if you are sensitive to this.

We enjoyed our stay as it is located in a great location with a lot of restaurants close by. It can be a little noisy in the evenings.

Paulo is an exceptional hotel! He picked us up at the airport and showed us around the neighborhood with many very qualitative recommendations! the accommodation is in a very quiet street but only 2 steps from the famous June party in the Alfama district of Lisbon. Everything was perfect! Thanks again!

The hosts couldnt have been more communicative! So helpful and clear and gave us lots of good recommendations. Grounds were lovely, as was the apartment. The actual neighborhood on the port side was ok, the other side was nicer. So nice to have the nespresso coffee pods and sugar for the mornings. 5 out of 5

Pedro's apartment was clean, bright, and located in a peaceful alley where you could literally hear the birds in the morning - I felt safe and comfortable as a solo traveler. It was within walking distance of central Lisbon, so I mostly used public transport for attractions farther out. I would definitely stay there again if I were visiting Lisbon.

Absolutely loved this apartment. It's in a great location in Alfama and has a great view of the Monastery of São Vicente. The apartment is spacious and clean, a very comfortable and stylish base for exploring Lisbon. Rita and Isabel were gracious hosts and provided clear instructions and helpful recommendations for local dining and shopping. Be sure to visit the local artisanal bakery Flora just around the block from the apartment.

The condo was better than expected, beautiful and pristine with all the necessary kitchen items. The bedding and towels smelled wonderful!

Ana and her partners are wonderful, charming, welcoming hosts. Throughout the entire process from booking the place to check-out, the hosts were available, attentive, informative and above all, kind and pleasant. The property looks just like in the pictures, clean and beautiful, with attention to detail. The view from the living room window is spectacular and the neighborhood has good restaurants, cafes, a supermarket and convenient transportation. Everything we wanted or needed was in the apartment and everything was tastefully decorated. The sofa is also very comfortable for those who want to sleep in the living room, the bedding is clean and pleasant. Lisbon was good to us and Ana and her partner are a big part of the welcome, experience and enjoyment of the place. We highly recommend the apartment and the hosts, if we return to Lisbon in the future, we will definitely want reserve the apartment again.

Enjoyed our stay at Ilda’s apartment. Great location and balcony. At the very top of a steep hill was difficult for some of our group but worth the view.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in this space. It was easy to check in and the apartment was extremely spacious, comfortable, and clean. The location was perfect, and there were no noise issues despite being in a busy part of Lisbon. Would definitely recommend booking a stay in this space!
