Holiday rentals with a kayak in Alexandria

Our family gathered in Watertown to have Thanksgiving with our son who lives there and is stationed at Ft. Drum. We wanted a nice place on the water where the adults could stay and the family could gather for Thanksgiving dinner. Jane's place was nice and cozy for the adults who stayed and enjoyed by all who came for dinner. Jane was responsive to any communications and helpful when we thought our stay may have to be extended due to the threat of 60+ inches of lake effect snow. We were able to check out on time and would love to return when we could truly enjoy the yard, water access, kayaks etc.

This place was beautifull! In a great, quiet and peaceful location. Would highly recommend and definitely come back for another stay! Lauren was super nice, responsive and clearly takes pride in hosting!

Great view of the river, passing ships, and fantastic sunsets… which is what we were looking for in our few days up on the River. place was nice and cozy. wish we had more time to relax and enjoy. I’d return here again!

Jacqualine’s place feels more like you’re staying at a friend’s HOME. Great quality furniture, linens, towels, kitchen essentials, etc. — not just a rental filled with inexpensive furniture and supplies. Beautiful wide windows in the living space that look out at the river. Sturdy dock that was perfect for our kids to swim off of. Private parking with space to turn around so you’re not backing out onto a busy street. Plenty of spots to view amazing sunsets. The list of positives could go on…. Located in a quiet village with a pub, small market, coffee shop and a few boutiques, it’s a great location to set up home base if you want to be within easy driving distance (+/- 25min) of more touristy towns like Clayton and Alexandria Bay but still have some peace and quiet on the river.

We had an amazing time at Don and Lindita's place! The hosts welcomed us with a basket of goodies and we felt right at home. We learned that we were the first guests after a recent renovation and the place looked incredible. Very thoughtfully laid out with everything at our fingertips. The hosts were super responsive to any questions we had and made it super easy for us. We had a ladies weekend and we were a group of 8. We had plenty of space for everyone to play board games and hang out when it rained and when it was sunny there was plenty of outdoor activities to do with the available kayaks and canoes. Lots of nature to see in the area too, we stopped by Rock Dunder for a quick hike, which the host recommended and the views were amazing. We would love to come back again!

Me and my family had an amazing time. We all wished we were staying for more than just the weekend. I would love to come back next summer!

This unique house lives up to its name . Very quiet and peaceful place which even our furry family member loved, she had a lot of space to move around .

We had a wonderful stay and it was awesome that we could bring our thirteen month old dog. Communication was superb and so kind and responsive. The home is just like the pictures and description listed and decorated very clean, bright and homey. The extra touches of amazing things such as a welcome basket, dog items, toys for children and games made you feel like you are at home. We would totally recommend staying here.... great fishing area, backyard, not far from Clayton, Cape Vincent and Sacket Harbor.

We totally loved Mexi’s place. It was super relaxing and restful for us. It was so comfortable, it felt like home. Mexi is very easy to communicate with which made it nice. Thanks, Mexi! And… Mexi had everything you might need on your visit away… from blow dryer and straightener, to shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and much more. One spot we really liked a lot was the porch. So peaceful. You won’t be disappointed. We would come back.

The house is in an awesome location. Kayaks were put to good use. A lot of nature and wildlife to soak in right from the doorstep or backyard. Everything was in great condition. Also had our dog along for this trip and place was pet friendly as well (although going upstairs might not be for all pets 😂 certainly wasn't for my guy). The hosts have included all items required for a comfortable stay in every room. Enjoyed our stay and would be back for sure.

We highly recommend Dylan’s idyllic lakefront place as it allowed us to enjoy a thoroughly relaxed Memorial day weekend with our adult children. While the well equipped kitchen, ample games and TVs with streaming enabled us to perfectly enjoy indoor activities when it was raining, the choice of spectacular, tranquil views and kayaking on the water was too irresistible to stay in for too long. Thank you Dylan for recommending local activities/places to explore. Hiking in Rock Dunder was truly amazing, and the Rideau canal locks were interesting. Thoroughly enjoyed the convenience of the outdoor grill and bug free option to enjoy the patio. The home is perfect for a family or group that doesn’t mind sharing one bathroom. Would love to visit again, especially knowing that Dylan may be adding improved space/bathroom to his home.

great spot to relax and enjoy nature. cell reception is super spotty however the scenery and lake makes up for it. we recommend and we will certainly return next year!!

This cottage was an absolute gem for our family getaway! We were looking to truly disconnect and immerse ourselves in nature, and this place delivered perfectly. We loved the "off-grid" feeling and the profound quiet. While the May weather was a bit cool, we saw it as a plus – fewer bugs to bother us! The hot tub was a wonderful treat, and we spent lovely evenings around the fire pit. The kids had a blast exploring the tree-lined path to the dock, where they enjoyed fishing. Inside, comfort was key: the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and we never ran out of hot water. The kitchen was impressively equipped with all the cooking tools one could need. To top it all off, the hosts were very responsive and helpful. This is a beautiful home, and we'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

We had a wonderful time. The house was more than we could have hoped for and Ken was so helpful. He went above and beyond to make it a great experience and stay. We enjoyed the lake and if you are interested in fishing it is a great place to catch fish! We will definitely be looking into a future stay!

We had an amazing stay at the Mellow Yellow Cottage! We are a family of four and invited my parents. The Cottage was so clean, spacious and had a lot of personality. We all left happy and relaxed! The kitchen is renovated and had every appliance, dish and utensil we could have needed and more. We spent loads of time on the water and on the dock. I was grateful for the qty and variety of water “toys”. My 9 year old and 16 year old were kept busy. The fire pit was used every night as was the pool table. It was quiet and private and was the perfect tranquil escape for your family. It was nice to have grocery stores and restaurants within 15 -20 min. The visit to Kingston for a few hours was also enjoyable. Overall amazing stay, highly recommend for families of varying ages. Host was engaged and proactive.

I wish I could give 1000 stars. His little slice of heaven on the lake in the woods was amazing. He was an amazing host. We will definitely be back and we are going to bring out daughter next time.

My husband I used to be “locals” who lived not far from this fabulous property! We have been staying here for the last 10 years and it’s always better than the time before! It’s a beautiful peaceful unique property where we can enjoy the abundance of nature and the local wildlife. The cabin is authentic, cozy and just the amount of comfort and convenience. We can simply relax and enjoy ourselves here! Margret is a perfect host. She values our privacy at the same time makes sure we have everything we need and more! Still our favourite AirBnb experience! michael was amazing with his responsiveness and checking in everyday through messages to make sure we were all good and if we needed suggestions on things to do in the area with our dogs!! they were super friendly, the cabin was beautiful and looks brand new, the screened in porch was our favorite part to relax day and night without bugs bothering us and the huge yard to watch the stars / let our dogs run around was just another plus!! i highly highly recommend staying with michael and if you’re looking for a peaceful, private, beautiful place to stay in the 1000 islands, look no further!! thanks again for being the best hosts & going above & beyond!! :)

Matt and Rebecca are incredible hosts and super-helpful. We brought our boat and it was so nice to use the dock in front of the house! The house and its construction are such a cool family story and you can tell they put their hearts and souls into its construction. The beach area was a hit with the kids. I would most definitely stay here again.
