It was the perfect quiet getaway we needed after the crowds of the southern part of the ring road. The cabin was beautiful and the view was spectacular. Getting to relax in the hot tub admiring the views and silence of nature was a key feature of our entire trip. Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful place. Exactly as described. Breathtaking views. Well equiped. Amazing deck from which to watch the fjord and a stunning sunrise. The hot tub was easy to use and a great asset to the property. Lovely walks nearby. Take the binoculars with you and if you spot a whale watching boat do pay attention to them, we saw whales from the island. 10min walk into the village. The Nespresso coffee machine was a lovely surprise (including a lot of capsules) Was hoping for a peaceful relaxing break and that is exactly what we got. Hope to come back again.

Our stay at Marino’s was nothing short of perfect — the picturesque backdrop to this stunning cabin was something out of a movie. I highly recommend this property to anyone spending time near Dalvík!

The house is comfortable, warm, clean, well equipped and in a stunning location. The hot tub is easy to use and very nice to relax in. We stayed 3 nights and could have happily stayed much longer. Despite the weather (cold with low cloud and rain) we loved the views over the water and the snowy mountains. We drove up to Siglufjordur which is beautiful, walked on the causeway in front of the house and on Dalvik beach which is gorgeous, and did the classic whale watching from Dalvik and saw humpbacks, minke whales and porpoises. Also visited Tjornes peninsula and Husavic. Unfortunately the puffins left early this year so we didn't see any, but the coast is dramatic and we did some good walks. All fantastic. Thanks Ragnar.

There are no words adequate to describe this little piece of heaven on earth. The three days I spent in Bjorgvin's cottage were by far the most magical part of my time in Iceland, including the unforgettable experience of watching whales from the hot tub on my last evening. Bjorgvin was welcoming and helpful in all his communication, the ferry crossing was lovely and simple, and the cottage very quickly came to feel like home to me. I hope I can return again someday.

We loved our 3 nights in the cabin. It had everything we needed to cook breakfast and a couple dinners. Beautiful views, close to the tunnel, and very comfortable place to stay. Great host. We enjoyed chatting with him before we left. Perfect place to stay in Akureryi.

The cottage is a real beauty. Located in a small forest its a perfect, cozy retreat. It has everything needed, we felt at home. Away from busy roads, but still conveniently located to visit Akuteyri, Husavik or the Myvatn-Region. Would absolutely book again if we hopefully come back to that region somewhere in the future.

the hot tub was awesome, he sightseeing spots were close by and we even found an awesome hike 1 km down the road. small place but plenty for us 2 for a week.

This was a great place to relax and unwind. The cottage is well designed with lots of space. Our hosts went above and beyond with some very special touches during the holiday season that made us feel very at home, away from home. It was a great stay!

We had a magical couple of days at the hidden cottage. We came up to the north hoping to do some skiing with the kids. We had a beautiful drive up from Reykjavík and drove into a valley creeping into spring. We woke the next morning to a thick blanket of snow! It meant it was tricky to leave the cottage with our vehicle but the kids enjoyed a day in the snow and a bit of a hike up the valley. The cottage was clean, comfy and warm with beautiful views and we had everything we needed. The hot tub was fun. When we had to leave early the next day and were worried about the roads, Lea was extremely helpful. After a bit of snow shovelling we got on our way. The 4x4 we hired managed the main road into town no problem. We enjoyed looking around Siglufjordur on the way in and went via Akuyreyri on the way home where the kids had a fun swim and we managed to get on the slopes in the afternoon. We rented ski equipment on site. Wish we had had a couple more days to explore the towns a bit more!

Had a great winter retreat at Lea's cabin. It's wonderfully located, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The cabin is equipped with everything you need, from BBQ to hot tub. Bonus points for the Northern Lights we got on NYE!

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very homey and comfortable. We appreciated the convenience of a well supplied kitchen. Our host was very thoughtful and friendly. She has awesome instructions. A bonus is that Godafoss is so close! We were very happy with everything about this place.

Gudrun’s place is exactly like what you would think it is based on the pictures - beautiful. From the hot tub, to the grounds (huge amount of open outdoor space - we went on a hike on the grounds) to the wonderful windows - this is a place you want to be at. We went during the summer when the sun never fully sets - and it really is pretty amazing. She cares about her guests, the space is well-kept and it is only a few minutes away from a city with some amenities (like groceries) in Dalvik. This is a great place, reserve it while you can!
