Tent holiday rentals in Africa

We enjoyed our stay here, was just too short ;-). Will definitely recommend it to other travellers.

Stayed only one night at Ian's tent in the campsite and was great to have access to the pool, beach nearby, and cute little bar

An absolute gem! Unspoilt nature in rustic yet extremely comfortable, well maintained and clean accommodation. Although power sources are solar and gas, you still have all the comforts of home - just better because it is so amazingly quiet and peaceful…and the stars…oh, my goodness…incredible night sky!!

We were absolutely blown away with this place! The staff were amazing, the chef, John, was 10/10 (some of the best food we ever had), the grounds are so beautiful and peaceful and the rooms were amazing! Maina, the manager, was always there to help us with anything at all and he also arranged for a local driver, Simon, to bring us to the camp from the Masai Mara, as well as transport us around Naivasha for our various activities throughout our stay and finally drop us off in Nairobi on our last day and Simon was 10/10 as well! There are lots of things to do nearby and Isabel and Maina were great at communicating before the trip to make sure we made the most out of our time there. The only complaint we had was that we didn't stay long enough!!

Everything was very nice, the tent was clean, the bed was good to sleep, the food was good, the people were friendly, and John's safari was definitely the most professional!We saw the animals we dreamed of, got here, be sure to look for John, everything was great!Really great!

A perfect little hideaway .. Theresa had thought of everything from a hot water bottle to Lindt choccies on our pillow! A true little gem .. everything was wonderful ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a lovely stay at Favour Farm! The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views made it a really relaxing getaway. Another unique touch was getting to make our own hot water in the donkey, which added a bit of rustic charm and made the stay feel even more authentic. The farm is well-kept and the surroundings are absolutely stunning — perfect for anyone wanting to disconnect and enjoy some fresh air and natural beauty. Would definitely recommend Favour Farm to anyone looking for a quiet and memorable break!

We traveled with our large dog and this accommodation is perfect for pets as the property is fenced off and private. The bed was comfortable and the self catering kitchen well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, we were surrounded by nature and wildlife but still had all the comforts we needed for a relaxing weekend.

What a beautiful gem! Perfect place to relax in nature that's less than an hour away from Nairobi and at a reasonable price. Monique provided great instructions and support, Mary was great as was her food (amazing chai!) & she made sure we had everything we needed, and Jackson made sure we saw all the animals we could on the safari! As others have said, the outdoor shower was amazing - hot water against the slight wind was an awesome experience. The shallow pool was nice to dip in. The outdoor fire was nice while stargazing. Overall, a relaxing great place.

As a first time camper i really enjoyed our stay, everthing we needed was prepared for us. We had the kitchen close by and a private toilet which was a bonus for us. Derrick really made our experience so pleasant and worth it. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

What a wonderful break from the city! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view was absolutely stunning, and the tent offered pure relaxation.

This place was the perfect getaway—serene, quaint, and peaceful. I loved every moment of my stay! Chef Hellen provided exceptional meals, and the gentleman who kept the bonfire going added such a warm touch to the experience. The service was top-notch, and I’d love to return in the future. Highly recommend!

We spent a week at the accommodation and were really thrilled. It is a little off the beaten path, which makes you feel like you are in a small oasis and very close to nature. At the same time, however, it is so well located that you are in the center of the sights of Crete and each of them is <1.5h by car. The hosts were very warm and were always there to help us. Definitely a clear recommendation from us!

Special spot for peaceful stay

I was looking for a private, quiet and secluded space embedded in the mountains and what this exquisite space provides is that and more. Oupa Carl's tented camp has been carefully and lovingly positioned with enough privacy to observe the nesting eagles way above the ravine, while other birdlife frequently coming to visit. The walk up the ravine to and beyond the waterfall is such a beautfil meditative space an at the right time of day to catch the sun whilst in the heights of the ravine was a treat and half. There are plenty other walks in and about this pristine mountain range which expands east into another worldly city of rock formations that clearly hold strong ancient energy amongst them. Marius and Yvonne really are super and share a deep love of the land that they co-steward as guardians. Looking forward to returning with friends and family to tread gently in harmony with this beautiful slice of earth!! Thank you!!

We had such a wonderful weekend stay. The tent is amazing and in such a peaceful spot. It is beautifully kitted out with everything that you might need with stunning finishes. Lovely walks around the farm. We were also able to bring our furchild with which was an added bonus. The host was super responsive and helpful. Highly recommended if you want a peaceful, relaxed time away in a beautiful location.

We were warmly welcomed by Povilas🥰. And we were lucky enough to be upgraded and hosted in a dome . We are delighted with our stay in the dome and the discovery of this place! A peaceful and well-designed retreat in the heart of the Klein Karoo. The tented camp is modern, clean, and comfortable, with sweeping views and a strong sense of space and stillness. 🌄⛺ We loved the self-drive safaris, enjoying quiet and unrushed explorations across a vast reserve. Along our journey, we spotted various wildlife, including Kudu, Giraffe, Gemsbok, and Black Wildebeest, as well as an abundance of birdlife. 🚙🦓🦒 The setting is open and natural, ideal for unwinding and reconnecting with the outdoors. It’s pet-friendly — our dogs enjoyed every moment 🐾 — though the camp isn’t enclosed, so do plan ahead. The hosts were welcoming and respectful of privacy, with everything thoughtfully prepared. A great choice for families or small groups seeking a calm, nature-focused escape with just the right balance of comfort and wilderness.

We were absolutely stunned about the amazing place, location and pool. It was even better that what we expected. It was peaceful and quiet and only an hour to Etosha. The host couple are friendly, patient and helpful and gave us fine hints for our visit to the Etosha park. We can fully recommend the place and would definitely love to come back and stay much longer!

This place has stunning views of the Israeli and Jordanian mountains—we even saw foxes and camels nearby! Great location for exploring Masada and the Dead Sea. Gili was a kind, responsive host and even showed our kids his pet goat. The tent is simple but comfortable, and the outdoor shower with a view was a highlight. Would definitely come back!

Maria is an excellent host. I arrived to this experience by hasard and I enjoyed so much. Maria was very supportive about check-in time and even at the end of our trip gave us a lift to the airport. Her car is robust and trustable and the option to camp allowed us to enjoy Crete of an unique way. Thank you very much for everything Maria and I hope we see you again in the future. What a magical place! Taking a shower while you see the monkeys playing around and the moon is priceless! The setup is great, has everything for a few days and Iain was absolutely wonderful in helping out with suggestions/recommendations, as well as George (caretaker) and the local driver David who were much appreciated throughout my stay :) location is quiet and a close walk to the beach, bed is super comfy and everything was simply great!!
