Holiday rentals with a patio in Adelphi

This was my second stay at this Airbnb, and it was just as fantastic as the first—if not better! Returning felt like coming back to a peaceful little retreat. The space remains just as charming, clean, and thoughtfully put together, with every detail designed for comfort and ease. This time around, I was able to fully enjoy the private outdoor patio, and it truly elevated the experience. Whether sipping coffee in the crisp morning air or winding down with a cocktail in the evening, it quickly became my favorite spot to relax. The hosts continue to go above and beyond—warm, responsive, and clearly dedicated to making every stay exceptional. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Still highly recommend without hesitation!

This home was wonderful and just as described. While Blair was out of town, Karen treated us wonderfully, even greeting us upon arrival and offering to help us get inside. We didn’t need much, but she was immediately reachable and ready to make our stay great. Would absolutely stay again!

This is a great place to stay and tour the DC Metro area - provided you have a car. Most days it would take us 30 minutes to get to and from DC though if we hit rush-hour, it was as long as an hour. The space is tidy and great. My kids love the pool, though it was a little cold for me-they swam there every night. Jennifer is great to communicate if you have any needs she gets stuff done right away. Note that there is only one bathroom, which can be a pain if you have a full house of six people. The washer and dryer are small so it will take you longer if you’re used to a full size. She had all the cooking methods and appliances available. The theater room has Netflix and Amazon prime ready for you to watch a show. There is even a popcorn maker. We did not use the gym, but it was nice - comparable to a small hotel gym. Property is in the owner’s basement, so there is some sound from upstairs as identified in the listing. Host stays out of your way but is there if you need anything.

Lovely apartment. Clean, well-appointed with everything we needed. Quiet, family-centric neighborhood that is walkable. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the parking space in the rear which allowed us to explore DC without worrying about navigating parking downtown. Lillian was communicative and proactive. The overview of the neighborhood and close by conveniences was helpful.

I had a great stay here! I really loved that I was able to find a place that allowed me to travel with my dog! Great location, very close to everything in DC and great places in Arlington. 10/10 recommend!

Stayed at Erin’s place for a night and wish it was longer! The room is steps away from the restaurant I met with my friends at. It is situated near all that Del Ray and the rest of Alexandria has to offer. In addition, the bed was quite comfortable and the suite itself is quite luxurious.

I stayed in DC over 20 times in the past 20 years. I have to say Chris’s place was at the top of the list. I picked it because we were going to the Smithsonian zoo. Which was only a 8 minute walk to the Harvard walk in gate. The best restaurant within walking distance was ll Supremo Italian food. Very good for such a small place

Jillian's place was perfect for my husband and I on a short visit to DC. We loved the location so close to Rock Creek Park on a tree lined quiet street. We did have a car, but carless transport would require a bit of a walk to transit to get to downtown DC. The place is a typical DC daylight basement apartment, so a long stay working from home might not be feel a little claustrophobic. Jillian and her family were very quiet overhead which we appreciated. For a night or two this place is great -comfortable bed, excellent shower, comfortable sitting area and kitchen with enough for our stay. We would stay there again if we are back in DC.

My wife and I stayed here for a week during a visit to our family in Hyattsville. The house was exceptionally clean, and extremely well equipped. The beautiful outdoor space was truly remarkable. For an urban property, it had such a peaceful feel of being tucked away in the forest, with large trees surrounding the lot. We really enjoyed all the greenery whether sitting outside or looking through the windows. We were pleased to see that the owners have added a nice outdoor sitting area with a firepit that is not showing in the online photos. Everything was so in order, that we didn't need to contact the hosts, but when we did, Angela was very pleasant and responsive. By far, one of the best Airbnb's we've stayed in. Thank you Angela and Max, we look forward to staying at your property again in the future!

Leslie’s place is so comfortable, with a cozy living room and private bedrooms. The gardens are lovely. Everything is very clean, and she obviously puts a lots of care and attention into the place. We enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend it!

What a beautiful house! We’ve stayed at several Air BNBs in this area over the last few years - this one is absolutely one of the best! We will definitely be back! The house is easy to find, updated with nice finishes and very comfortable! One bed and bath (with tub) downstairs, and two more bedrooms and primary bath upstairs. Cute little deck off the kitchen was great for morning coffee, and it opened to a nice private backyard. The hosts were very responsive, proactive and helpful. It was a great weekend and we look forward to coming back soon!

My friends and I had a lovely stay at Michelle’s place. The accommodations were top notch and we felt right at home. Michelle is an incredible host, responsive, proactive, and flexible and pleasant. We will definitely try to stay here again!

Words can't even describe how homey and amazing our experience was especially to have a 2 year old. The place was everything we expected and went above and beyond. Super host doesn't even do the experience justice. Nadia and Phil were very responsive and understanding with things that came up. The home was beautiful clean and even offered other amenities that weren't expected. If I'm back in Maryland this will be my #1 place to stay if it's available!!

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Basit House in Silver Spring. We didn't rent a car, but instead used the Metro (a 20 minute walk) for all of our DC sightseeing. We stopped at the grocery store on the way to the house each night to buy our supper - it was very convenient.

Not to mention the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The location was perfect—peaceful, but still close to everything I needed. Melaku’s place is very neat and clean. The place felt like home. Melaku is very responsive to any doubt. I stayed at this place with my parents who had travelled internationally for vacation here in the States. This is their first Airbnb experience. They absolutely loved it. Snacks and coffee added a great touch to our stay. Kitchen is well equipped. The neighborhood is peaceful.

This was a wonderful stay. I loved how they communicated. Very informative. I was in town for multiple events and the furthest i traveled was 12 min. The location is amazing. Compact amenities. Definitely recommend

This is a rare find and a real treat. I was visiting DC from the UK and had originally planned to stay in a hotel in downtown but as I live in a quiet English village I was worried about lack of sleep from the big city buzz. I searched for an Airbnb (as I always favour these v hotels) which highlighted safety and peace - and Celia's lovely apartment came up. This is such a fabulous place to stay in DC: very quiet and safe area, no night time noise, within 5 minutes of the metro station for a quick same-line journey to the centre, and very clean and comfortable. I loved every minute. The icing on the cake is it's such a great value. Thank you so much, Celia.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the spacious place with (private) parking just right across the street from us. It was quiet and the hosts were extremely responsive and super helpful and friendly! When we come to DC again, we'll definitely book if available :)

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The place was clean, well-designed, and very comfortable — it truly felt like a home away from home. The self check-in with a simple access code was super convenient and made everything easy from the start. The location is amazing — close to all the main tourist spots in Washington, DC. We were just minutes away from the National Mall, museums, monuments, and great places to eat. It was the perfect base for exploring the city. The host was kind, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Fast Wi-Fi, comfy beds, and a quiet, safe neighborhood made the whole experience even better. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting DC and would love to stay again!

Great apartment! Sean’s apartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is completely quiet at night and the bed is good. There is a good vibe in the neighbourhood and the apartment is less than five minutes from a Green Line metro station that will take you directly to the best art museums in the city. Sean and his co-hosts are very helpful and responsive. I hope to come back to Washington one day and if that happens, I will definitely try to book Sean’s apartment again. My husband and I came for the Nationals vs Cubs series and the location couldn’t have been better! The house was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. Israel was incredibly responsive and helpful, always quick to answer any questions and made check in and check out smooth and hassle free! You can really tell he cares about his guests’ experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located stay!

My girlfriends and I were in Washington DC for National Police Week & were looking for a place close to the city but reasonably priced. We found Chris’s place. It had everything we needed. It was clean, modern, just as described & came with a book of recommendations. The area is nice & we felt safe. Great restaurants. The bus & train r walking distance. We learned how to use public transportation instead to taking our car to avoid traffic and parking fees. My bedroom window faced the street so I could hear the cars & people walk by but when I turned on the fan I didn’t hear anything. Also this is a Renovated basement & have upstairs neighbors & can hear them walking around so if u r looking for a super silent place then this isn’t the place for u. It didn’t bother us. It has a private entrance and it was super easy to find. Chris was so attentive & helped with whatever we needed. He was an awesome host!
