Holiday rentals with lake access in Zambezi River

The property is pristine, located right next to Lake Malawi and the staff were extremely helpful with the cooking, cleaning and management of our visit. A few power disruptions were mitigated by the back-up system but the stay was overall flawless. The owner must be an audiophile given the quality of surround sound installed in the house and also by the beautiful poolside.

The place was very homely and private. Pagungwa was exactly as described and very spacious. We enjoyed every moment and even struggled to leave the house. Fadwick and Sidwell were accommodating and took very good care of us and our needs. Totally worth it

Definitely a good stay

We loved staying at the cottage in Senga Bay. The setup of the house was perfect for a large group. It was very hot so the ceiling fans/ac were very helpful. Very nice access the the lake and the hanging bed/shaded sand area by the lake was a fave hangout spot.

I had an amazing stay at David's Airbnb by the lake in Mangochi! The location is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The house was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. David was an excellent host—responsive, friendly, and always ready to help. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Mangochi.

Very clean place, Thoko is very friendly, and replies very quickly. As stated in her profile, she's not at the location but she has a very friendly and very helpful team, that helps with cooking , cleaning and anything that might come up, they are there for you. I would suggest asking them about the prices of various things sold locally before buying. As the local prices are not fixed, they are based on the appearances, a stranger is charged a "bit" or a lot more.

Beautiful large villa massive lounge and generous size bedrooms. The place was absolutely beautiful and the whole family loved it. The grounds were beautiful. Also had resident chef on hand to prepare meals which came in handy. I highly recommend this place to any families visiting Kariba and would stay again We had a wonderful time staying here.

An amazing view and good hospitality, definitely worth the stay!

Had a great stay at the cottage with my family. Very clean and beautiful place, we enjoyed the privacy, and peacefulness. Ian was very prompt to responding. Edward and Robert helped with cooking which made our stay even more relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

Delphine is an amazing host and I highly recommend her place. Our stay at this Airbnb was fantastic! The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, providing thoughtful touches and local tips that made our trip memorable. The space was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. A Relaxing Retreat with Exceptional Service. We recently stayed at Lilian Resort Lake Front Mangochi. Had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived until day I checked out, the resort exceeded my expectations in every way. The accommodation was top-notch. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a breathtaking view of the lake. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep every night. The room amenities were modern and well-maintained, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job of keeping everything clean and tidy. The resort facilities were outstanding. The pool area was a paradise. With plenty of lounge area chairs and umbrellas for relaxation. The bathtub was was a haven of tranquility, and the treatment I received were luxurious. What a truly set this resort apart was the exceptional service. The staff members were warm, friendly, and always went above and beyond to bath ensure I had a memorable stay. Peaceful and secluded. Amazing.

The vacation was a dream - Robson the caretaker made it even more magical. I however wish the caretakers were treated better by owners in that area in general as they make the entire stay so much MUCH better. A tiny walk around the area shows how the workers live in conditions I wouldn’t let my dog live in. This is a comment for ALL the home owners there …. Do better. I would book again with Tendai but it’s 2025. Let us not treat workers like slaves .. it’s off putting when we are spending a lot of money & depend on staff.

We loved our stay. We were three families with four children total and there was more than enough space to be both quiet and loud. Peter and Rosemary took good care of us and Rosemary’s cooking is some of the best we’ve had in Zimbabwe. If you’re looking for a relaxed getaway, don’t hesitate. P.S. find the Nehwa go go and buy fresh eggs and milk very morning!

Lovely place , private , great surroundings and very helpful support staff on the ground

Safe to say that this place is an absolute gem of place to stay and has made it to the top of my list of homes to stay in connemara. From the comfortable beds with heated blankets and a fireplace in the main bedroom, the luxurious wood-fired outdoor hot tub, and heated floors in the bathrooms (game changer), and large entertaining area, this place is well worth the money. The house is mere steps from the middle dam where there are beautiful hikes around the dam, 2 x fly fishing licenses that come included (just bring own rods) and 2 boats. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Chipo the caretaker was very helpful, cleaning up, making fires indoors and outdoors for the hot tub every day, she made our stay very easy. We will bring friends or family next time for sure!

Katherine was a great host! Responded very quickly, and was very accommodating to our needs/requests. Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful. The place was brilliant, great value for money and great location; we felt right at home. Kennedy and his crew (chef and house help) were exceptional! The food they cooked was amazing. They helped us to source fish fresh for dinner. We could not have asked for a better location. Overall, it was a wonderful place; we would stay here again easily!

A great, quiet spot, a bit off the beaten path. Lots of space - 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, dining room, living room, amazing garden. Kitchen is sparse so bring your own salt, oil, etc - but they had the utensils and appliances we needed. Anwar was a great communicator, and Edith kept the place very clean! Garden was magnificent with unparalleled access to the beach.
