Stayed 2 nights at Shuji-san’s place located just above his restaurant. The place was comfortable, clean and came with amazing homemade Italian breakfast which was the highlight of my day! Thank you Shuji-san for your hospitality and recommendations!

Opening April 2024! This is a private inn located in the heart of Beppu, a hot spring tourist destination. The first floor is a co-working space, and the second floor is a renovated office that can be rented for one group only. It is also within walking distance of the station and airport bus stop, and there are many restaurants, attractions, and public hot springs around the accommodation, making it a perfect base for sightseeing in Beppu. The spacious and stylish 90 sqm room features 1 family bed, 1 luxury Simmons bed, 2 sofa beds, a dining table, a minibar with complimentary mineral water, tea, and coffee, 2 smart TVs, and a washing machine with a dryer. All the pictures of the interior are of the guest room. Mt. Takasaki can be seen from the lounge in the private space. We have professional cleaners and change the linens, so you can enjoy a comfortable stay. It is recommended for families, groups of friends, and couples to stay.

Such a beautiful location near Kinrin lake. So lovely to walk out in the morning to see the steam rising from the lake on a foggy morning or watch the sun set in to the lake at night. An easy walk to the shops and restaurants. The best part of all is the private indoor / outdoor onsen. A perfect way to relax at the end of a day sightseeing. Staying here was a highlight of our travels. The roads around are pretty narrow and can get congested with pedestrians so we found it easiest to drive before 9am or after 5pm

Only that we were so excited about the dining at the restaurant that we ended up staying for two nights. The place was really clean and cozy, and I was very grateful to the owner for over 35 years. It was also close to Yufuin Station on foot, so it was easy to get to, and most importantly, the carefully served meal with relaxing music flowing in a good atmosphere was really the best. Fresh salads, deep flavors, aromatic coffee and hearty desserts were all great. After eating, I was very warm to talk to the owner, and I was touched by the meaning of the name ’Minaminokaze'. I would definitely visit again in other seasons. Once again, thank you for your hospitality and kindness.

Enjoy Beppu to the fullest! Hideaway Compact Hotel [Standard Twin] with Sofa * Up to 2 people

We booked this last-minute, but it turned out to be a great hit. This small boutique hotel with 16 rooms is a unique place to stay. Just off the main road, almost hidden in a quiet spot. The rooms have a modern design, but also feel really Japanese and connect you with the local surroundings. The bed and shower are extremely comfortable. While services are basic, there are many small details that show the owners care about their guests. From local recommendations, personal notes, and a amenities, we felt right at home. The best was the staff, who were very responsive prior to our arrival. Check-in was very smooth and friendly, with lots of great recommendations in the area. We loved our stay and would certainly go back if we visit Beppu again.
