I loved staying at this cabin. It was super clean and had everything we needed. I appreciate that the kitchen had everything we could want and that the owner was friendly and responded quickly. Hope to be back!

Erica was such a wonderful host! We felt as if a friend was taking care of us. She was super responsive and checked in on us during our stay, accommodated us with supplies for activities, breakfast & we purchased an add on pizza basket which was so awesome and tasty!!! Can’t say enough good things. This place is like a slice of heaven and all the detailed touches that Erica made was everything, from the record player, to music choices, games and books. We felt like we were in our own little romance film! :) lol. Erica is great. The place is beautiful. Definitely coming back!

Fantastic home/cabin in Pollock Pines near Sly Park. Nicole first and foremost was a fantastic host, very proactive, which is wonderful. If I had a question she was always super quick to respond, which makes it easy and no waiting around which I greatly appreciate. The home was immaculate, cozy and had all of the amenities. We loved how it was laid out with a queen bedroom, king bedroom, and another queen bunk with Trundle so quite spacious for three bedroom. Each bedroom had a very large walk-in closet also lovely along with the spa tub in the master along with the shower. The balcony is lovely as well with a hanging lounge and nice eating area as well as barbecue. beds, very comfy and cozy and all linens provided. About a mile from Jenkins Lake, great for paddle boarding hiking. We hiked the waterfall trail, which was gorgeous lake itself was a beautiful greenish blue and we definitely planning a trip back. Would recommend this house to families, girls trip! Hour from Sacto!

We stayed for a 3-day weekend with four kids and 2 dogs and had a great time. Beds were comfortable, the home was clean (except under the beds, which wasn’t a big deal and out of the host’s control since he can’t exactly inspect the cleaner’s job every time), and the area is rich in history and nature. We had a lot of fun exploring the area around the home and feeding the sweet goats at the park/school right across the road. Please research healthy options to feed them though! There is hay at the school as well. If you have dogs, there is a dog run type fenced in area for them to potty and play. Bring laundry detergent and washcloths if you need them. The neighbor’s dogs are out all hours of the day and night and bark a lot, so keep that in mind if you care about that stuff. Again, out of the host’s control! We weren’t that bothered. We would definitely stay here again. If you’re thinking about booking this one, just do it!

Shannon’s place was lovely. Great space indoors and out for 4-6 people and our huskies. Beautiful redwoods in the yard and visits by turkey and deer. Close driving distance to restaurants. Shannon’s place is very well equipped with anything you would want or need for dining, sleeping and relaxing. I always appreciate a property that feels like someone’s home rather than a hotel. Shannon’s place was exactly that. Shannon is a very responsive, communicative and helpful host! I should add that there are great vineyards and the lovely Sly Park nearby that we weren’t able to explore because we were in the area for a graduation in El Dorado . Would love to come back, stay st Shannon’s & explore more

A picturesque retreat in the forest! I kept thinking throughout our stay, this is exactly what an AirBnB should be. Carter & Shelby, unbelievably responsive and communicative hosts, have thought of everything a weary traveler could need, and want, from chargers galore, to a superb shower, to games which kept the whole family entertained. Little touches - Netflix is signed in; power strips by the bed; labels on the organic spice drawer in the kitchen - make enjoying the space utterly seamless. And you really feel like you’re in the middle of the Tahoe forest, because you are.

Penny’s place is truly a hidden gem—a peaceful escape from reality. My husband and I both work, go to school, and juggle raising kids, so we were long overdue for a quiet getaway to reconnect. Sanctuary in the Pines was exactly what we needed. It’s calm, quiet, and surrounded by nature—perfect for slowing down and just enjoying each other’s company. You really can't describe the experience fully in words... you just have to go and feel it for yourself. Penny is hands down the best host we’ve ever had. She’s incredibly sweet and thoughtful, and always responds quickly if you need anything. Her warmth made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. If you're looking for a place to relax, recharge, and reconnect, this is it. One tip: don’t make the same mistake we did by arriving late at night—come during the day so you can enjoy the gorgeous drive in and take in the views. Perfect place if you're looking to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. Stunning views all over and a beautiful large deck to enjoy it all. Loved cozying up around the fire at night too.
