The Bothy cottage in the Cotswolds

The Bothy is a conversion of a 17th Century Cotswold stone stable and a 20th Century kennel building. On the ground floor is the living room with a beautiful wood burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable double bedroom and a modern shower room. Whilst upstairs, which is accessed from a narrow oak staircase, you can find the twin bedroom. The living room has been fitted to retain all its original features and is furnished in period style. I have included many Georgian and Victorian pieces and have also included a large settee and two arm chairs, dining table and chairs for 4, corner cupboard and a dash of the 21st Century with a Sky television. The Bothy is beautifully situated in the Postlip Coombe on the leeward side of the Cotswolds highest hill and yet only minutes from Winchcombe, a classic Cotswold "wool" town, renowned for its excellent shops, restaurants and architecture.

Situated 10 minutes walk from the centre of town with lots of pubs, shops and restaurants. Right on the Winchcombe Way and close to the Cotswold Way its ideal for walkers. Secure cycle storage is also available. Broadway, Stow-on-the Wold, Bourton-on-the -Water Cheltenham, Stratford and Oxford are all drivable

Ideal for the Cotswold Way and Cheltenham Spa, 4 minutes by car from the racecourse, and close to a good pub with hourly bus service between Winchcombe and Cheltenham. The annex is self-contained, with a front door and hallway. Dogs £25 supplement. Private parking. Note the lane has a 1 in 4 to 6 gradient and is bumpy.

The location is very convenient for sight seeing and business trips alike. Two minutes walk to the town centre, restaurants and bars, but tucked away from noise. A really comfortable and very clean house Situated in a lovely location with top quality furnishings and fittings. Bed was so comfortable. Everything you could possibly need . Erik greeted us on arrival and was always available if required. But there is nothing you could possibly need. Lots of space with a superb lounge for relaxing with a glass of wine. Or enjoying breakfast with sun cascading through windows. Would highly recommend this property. Cost wise it is same if not better than much inferior properties. Thank you Erik for also storing our fridge and larder with basic necessities. Enjoyed our stay immensely And the honey and soap available from Nikki are top quality. Frank and Marj

The main bedroom was spacious, clean and well furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable and a great relief after a long day. We also enjoyed how easy it was to get in and out of the room from the folding window/doors making the patio space a lovely place for breakfast in the morning. Jonathan and Elaine were very friendly and helpful making our stay exceptionally smooth.

Beautiful Pittville Park is close and it is only 30 mins. walk into town through this beautiful park. The accommodation was a little too warm for me and outside was a heatwave. Other lodgers were quiet and considerate and the staff were terrific, friendly, happy and helpful.

Mark and his Parents were very personable and helpful,the accommodation was spotless and as described. Bed was very comfortable and lounge area very homely. Heating was easy to use and efficient .we visited some lovely villages using this accommodation as a central base. The local pub a short stroll,and had good food. All in all a very pleasant stay and very pleasant hosts thank you
