Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Winterton-on-Sea

This cottage is just so peaceful in beautiful surroundings. Within a short drive you can be in the Norfolk Broads or any of the local beaches, from Great Yarmouth down to Aldeburgh. For dog owners I would recommend Kessingland. It's just such a lovely stroll and surprisingly not busy. Dogs are welcome on the beach all year round here. Dave is a really friendly chap and I'm sure if we had had any problems at all with the cottage he would have been there to help out, but the cottage was faultless. Just a lovely quiet place, surrounded by fields. If we visit Suffolk again I will definitely see if this cottage is available. It's so relaxing here. What a hidden gem!

An excellent location as a base to visit coast and inland locations. A tight turn off the main road - so just be aware of cars speeding round the corner. Attention to detail was excellent from the hosts - fresh flowers, dog blankets and the largest welcome ‘pack’ we’ve encountered, including a number of homemade products - over and beyond expectation. Julie and Graham were very friendly and informative and The Bothy has everything you’d need for a great break - the place will not disappoint. Many thanks

We had a lovely stay when visit g Norwich and family for a wedding. We were very comfortable and the property had everything we needed and was very nicely furnished and finish was nice and stylish. Kitchen was fully equipped with entering we needed including a good old air fryer ! We had two small dogs with us and they enjoyed the garden and house too. We had family over for tea and it was lovely to be able to sit outside in a nice tidy private garden for the day/ evening. I would definitely recommend this property and Caroline was always firmly, helpful and accommodating. 10/10!

Can’t recommend Sonya’s place highly enough, fabulous location with beautiful walks, the broads and pubs and restaurants as well as parks and cafes in easy walking distance. Lots more to do within a short drive too. Very clean, thoughtful touches, comfy beds and sofa, table and chairs front and back for sun morning and evening, everything we needed to hand. Sonya was really responsive and helpful too. Thank you for a wonderful stay, hope to be back soon.

This was a lovely and comfortable home for the 3 of us. Best part was the incredible outdoor garden and terrace. We enjoyed the games and books provided too. It was quiet and peaceful. Hannah was very friendly and responsive. Overall a great stay. One word of caution - the road passes very close by the front door, so it’s best to be very careful when exiting (especially for those who normally look left for traffic).

Had a lovely few days in Horning staying in Mandalay. The house is equipped with everything you need and a credit to host Tom. Plenty to explore in the area or just chill out with beer or a vino by the river in the nearby pubs and watch the world go by. Thoroughly enjoyed our break Tom ! Thanks, Tony and Carol

This is a gorgeous cottage set in the middle of countryside (but easy to get out & about in the car). The kitchen is huge and with everything you need, with several options for outdoor dining to make the most of the lovely garden. Beds are comfy with decent sized rooms, but the standout attraction is of course the pool…heated so that we (with two young kids) could enjoy it for several hours each day of our stay without anyone getting bored or chilly. Lorna & Dean v friendly & helpful hosts. Highly recommend; only caveat - while we had a great weekend here with our toddler in tow, we were outdoors for most of the time; the cottage is decorated beautifully and has flagstone flooring throughout the downstairs which are not always compatible / relaxing with an energetic 2 year old.

We had a wonderful stay at Horizon house. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. So close to the beach and amenities! Great having space for 2 cars off street parking too, made unloading/ loading much easier.

Nicola is a fantastic host, real clear and fast communication. Lovely welcome basket and all the amenities you need. Her place is fantastic, cosy and comfortable and I highly recommend it. Thanks for a lovely place to stay for our long weekend Nicola, we had a great time

The chalet was really lovely. We had everything we needed. The welcome basket was a really nice touch and we were so grateful to have milk in the fridge! The walk across the dunes to the beach was so beautiful. We were blessed with amazing weather so we were able to do so many things. Winterton itself is a lovely little village. Everyone was really friendly. It’s in a really good position for you to explore the local areas. We ventured to horsey gap, sea palling, hemsby and we even hired a boat to drive around on the broads. We’ve had such a lovely holiday. I have to note as well our dog was made to feel really welcome. There was a spare dog bowl and even some towels to use for her if we needed. Even treats! Things like this really do go a really long way for dog owners and letting them feel welcome which in turns helps us to feel relaxed. The grass area outside the window was an added bonus! Our three year old had the best time exploring. Thank you so very much for a lovely stay! X

We had such a lovely time. Location was peaceful and the accommodation was perfectly placed for planned activities and so close to the beach. Inside was clean and lovely and warm and Hannah was fantastic at answering any questions very quickly and also making sure we were settled in. Thank you.

Lovely well equipped and modern chalet. Really peaceful grounds and quiet but with lovely amenities, free swimming, lovely park, mini golf and playground. Really close to lovely beaches and things to do with kids and dogs and a wide choice of restaurants. This chalet was a little gem of a find and we will definitely return for another visit. Fantastic place right in the middle so access to north and south beaches by car. Amanda is the best host, welcoming, very quick response to all our needs and offered us early check-in. Her place is a little gem. Cleaning is spotless, baby chair was definitely needed for our little one. Definitely recommend this place. Car park is convenient being next to you. I would recommend a drive to cromer about 45 minutes to enjoy day out on the beach but most of all grab a pizza from cromer pizza and kebab, bottle of wine from Morrisons petrol station near it and drive to free car park by the coast on the cliffs, enjoy your food and drink whilst watching the sunset. We went for a family weekend to connect and just had the most amazing time. Toastie warm comfy beds. Don’t forget to book the pool and top tip… remember to take a towel for the pool!

Having Autistic children makes holidays very difficult for us, but this was the best holiday we’ve had! The pool was by far the best bit, we spent hours in it everyday. It was warm and very clean. The cottage was cozy and had everything you needed. Great location, so much to do within a short drive and lovely beaches. We’ll definitely be back again. Thank you Andy and Fi xx

We had a lovely stay at Helen’s place near Oulton Broad for 3 nights with the kids and the dog. Lovely little attention to detail with dog treats and dog bowls left out, also some treats for the humans. Thanks!

We had a fantastic stay with my children & grandchildren. The house was extremely comfy with everything we could possibly need including toys & books for the kids. Plenty of space so no one was on top each other. Fantastic location to a very safe beach at the end of the road a 5 min walk away. The cafe at the beach was outstanding too. We'll definitely be returning in the future I'm sure.

A stay in a lighthouse is exciting by default. But a stay at The Lighthouse Winterton-on-Sea is a true experience! We enjoyed the renovated and excellently kept historical building, the views from the top level, the warmth of the decoration (despite the windy environment) and the great walks in the surrounding area, the dunes, the seals, the doll like villages. The Annexe was superbly clean. Bed was very comfortable, shower was heavenly, especially after a very hot day in the sea and sand. David was very informative, I'm looking to relocate in that area, and his puppy dog and my dog became best friends. I had a relaxing stay, will definitely go again.

A lovely stay in a quiet little village, with the beach, local shop, chip shop and tea room all just round the corner from the house. Delphine was very proactive in her communication, from welcoming us, recommending local pubs and thanking us for staying. The house was full of everything we needed; from dog blankets to a baby monitor for our one year old! We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Thank you.

We loved our stay everything in the chalet is catered for, the bedding was fantastic, towels fantastic, great that there is everything you need washing up liquid bin bags washing sponges salt & pepper it’s a home from home There are so many added extra’s games DVD’s Just a short walk from the beach and amanitas We will definitely be re-booking again
