Our relaxed family friendly 3 bedroom holiday house is in a peaceful location overlooking the small town of Whitianga. It has stunning views night and day of Mercury Bay, the harbour, township and Coromandel ranges. It is a short drive down to Brophey’s, Buffalo or Simpson's (Wharekaho) Beach. The house is on a large section, with plenty of parking. This house is also our bach and we intend to personally meet and greet our guests. We have just had fibre installed and WiFi connected.

Whitianga, 1 bedroom Studio near the beach. A cosy, secure little getaway! We are a short 2 minute stroll to Brophy’s Beach, a lovely little beach for a stroll or dip. Our place is situated at the quiet end of Whitianga, just 4ks from the main shops. Take the car or enjoy a lovely 3.5k scenic walk along the seaside path into town, or venture over the hill to golden sands of Wharekaho. You can expect to find a lovely and spacious studio with Wifi and ample room to relax.

Each site is convenated by QEII National Trust who describe Mahakirau "outstanding for it's ecology and wildlife value with brown kiwi, kaka, Hochsetetter's and Archey's frogs all present". Our Studio room opens onto a paved terrace with views over the ocean. The studio is well equipped with kitchenette, table & chairs, armchairs, separate shower & bathroom, separate toilet. There is a barbecue for cooking and an outside covered space. We supply a simple breakfast of muesli, yoghurt and milk. If you are dairy free and require something different please let me know. The pool and spa overlook the ocean and have amazing views.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Tucked away in the bush with a peep of sea, this peaceful space is ideal for a quiet retreat. Relax and do Yoga, or read, on the bush deck. Just 500 mtrs to the beach for a swim or walk the 4 kms into town. A 5 minute drive along the beach front to the cafes, restaurants and bars . 20 Minutes to Lukes Kitchen or 42kms to Coromandel. Its calm, close to everything yet hidden away.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at Paul’s place. Very spacious and homely with all the amenities we needed. It was close to the beach and Whitianga had some great restaurants. We met the hosts and their dog briefly who were lovely. Would highly recommend this place if you’re staying in Whitianga.

Cozy little cabin in a beautiful location looking out towards the beach. There is a fan and heat pump to keep you comfortable. The BBQ is great for cooking and the kitchenette is well equiped. We loved our 3 nights here exploring the area and the hosts were friendly and helpful.

Gillian and Dave’s place was beautiful and set in a peaceful, scenic area with breathtaking views. It looked just like the pictures, and even better in person. The place was spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed. Gillian and Dave were excellent hosts. They were attentive, quick to respond to us, and respected our privacy which we really appreciated. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others 😊

We had a lovely stay at Iona’s place in Whitianga! The house was beautiful, clean, and felt really comfortable. Iona and Steve were fantastic hosts — super welcoming and thoughtful. They even left us a few goodies, which we really appreciated. Grateful for the warm hospitality and would definitely recommend staying here!

We stayed 5 nights at Jennifer’s place and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Loved the view and outside seating areas. All very private and quiet. It is very well equipped although as a previous review stated it could have had a few little extras like handi towels, gladwrap, and shampoo. We would have no hesitation recommending Jennifer’s place and would happily stay again.
