The cottage is set in a country style garden, surrounded by trees and creeks you won't feel like you are just 5 minutes from the town. The local shops are very close providing a dairy, bakery, pizza, fried chicken and Chinese fish n chips takeaways. Whangarei CBD is a direct 6 minutes drive, you'll reach the Town Basin with numerous cafes, The Hundertwasser art museum & loop walk along the Hatea river. Whangarei Falls, Whangarei Heads and the Tutukaka Coast an easy reach must see!

Marua Retreat is located on a 444 acre sheep and cattle farm with beautiful rolling hills which you are free to explore/walk during your stay. A perfect place to escape the grind and get back to nature.

Our tastefully decorated private studio cabin (10m from main house) with a rural view, own private bathroom, kitchenette with continental breakfast, queen bed, private covered veranda with outdoor furniture, parking at the door and hassle free lock box for easy check in/out, is here for your enjoyment. We are also motorcycle friendly.
