Chris was a lovely host, the unit is compact and comfortable and has all of your basic amenities. My kids loved the spa pool, nothing better than unwinding in a hot tub after a long day of sightseeing! would definitely love to come back and stay in the future, maybe our next visit to hobbiton.

Such a beautiful peaceful place to stay with lovely gardens. Fun to see the cows running in the fields nearby. Nice breakfast items including fresh fruit, milk, juice, yogurt, honey, cereal, bread and jelly.

Awesome place to stay. So clean with amazing sheets. All the little touches were there to make us feel comfortable and well rested.

I’m not sure what the past reviews are talking about because this place was absolutely great and worth every cent that we paid. The house had everything and more that is usually provided in an Air BnB, I was even able to bake some brownies with all the kitchen utilities that are available. Immaculately clean, the bed in the room was super comfy and my sons enjoyed their sleeps on the bottom bunk and sofa bed in the lounge. The place was absolutely perfect for what we were after and the backyard is awesome for little ones. Although the Air BnB is the bottom floor of the host’s house, it is so private and you hardly even hear any noise above. Thank you Lorna and Aaron for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be returning to you if needed again in the future.

We had a great stay at Terry & Millie's place. The accommodation was very cosy and warm considering the outside temperatures and the bed was so comfortable. We liked the accommodation being a little outside the main town as it was quiet and peaceful. All amenities were provided for us to be able to cook breakfast, lunch & dinner - having an air fryer & dishwasher were added bonuses. Lastly, Roxy was such a beautifully natured dog that our daughter loved having around to give pats to. Would definitely stay here again if we were to return to Rotorua.

A great place to stay in easy walking distance to the beach. Has everything you need to prepare simple meals and lots of cupboard space. We would definitely choose this place again.

The house was spotless and beautiful, with a well stocked kitchen and private deck. The cheese platter the host left was a lovely surprise. Would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Had a wonderful stay at David's bach. Close to the beach and easy walk to restaurants and cafés. the Bach was clean and perfect for a weekend get away. Would definitely stay again!

Caron’s Airbnb in Matamata was absolutely adorable — cozy, beautifully styled, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location was great too — nice and quiet, yet just a quick 3-minute drive to everything in town. Caron is such a joy — warm, welcoming, and clearly puts so much care into making sure her guests feel comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend!

Margriet welcomed me when I arrived and had a she had a lovely touch with my name on a blackboard outside the accomodation. She communicated clearly throughout the whole booking and welcoming. The accomodation was very clean and had a lovely atmosphere. The bed was really comfortable and even had an electric blanket. I would definitely stay their again. Thanks so much Margriet.

We had the most comfortable of stays at Tui Glen. No other word than perfect can sum up our stay and interaction with Glendyr. It suited our needs to see relations in the area and to reach easily all our activities. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending a stay here. From hot tub, to swimming pool to bikes available for use, all was way beyond our expectations. Just wish we could have had more time available to use the amenities but we were busy visiting tourist attractions and family. Perfect, luxurious, well-appointed studio in what is obviously one of the most beautiful places on earth. Very private and feels secluded but is a quick drive to Cambridge which has great cafes and even better pastries. We stayed here as a base for travel to Hobbiton, Rotorua and Taupo (a two hour drive but worth it) and highly recommend the back roads - the scenery is amazing. The studio itself has everything you need, the amenities are modern and high end and the bedding is so comfortable. We struggled to leave the comfort every morning, especially with the rain. Highly recommend staying here.

Jan and Dan are personable, kind, and went out of their way to show hospitality to us on our 20th anniversary getaway. Loved the time!
