House holiday rentals in West Cross

I cannot overstate how amazing this place is. I was looking for an escape into the woods and it was exactly what I wanted. The setting of the cottage is stunning, right on the river and surrounded by trees. It feels remote, even though it's only a short walk into the village. The welcome was really friendly, you can tell that the owners are very active in their community and have put together loads of local info. I particularly liked the map of the community forrest which made me feel confident enough to explore walks by myself. The cottage itself is beautifully kept, with everything that you need, and then some. I didn't want to leave.

Lovely place to stay, right by the beach which was perfect for us! Nice sized rooms and beds and Jess was a lovely host! Check in and out instructions were clear and easy to follow!

Emma was a fantastic host! Her house was amazing and we felt right at home! She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and we even had some little extras like access to the garden and a late check out. We want to come back as soon as we can! A perfect weekend away with our best friends and kids. 🥰😍

Was a great place to stay when we visited the Urdd Eisteddfod which was held in Margam Park this year. The house was very clean and Yan was very easy to get in touch with if we required anything. We have 4 young children, who loved the added bonus of the toys that were in the house. Everything you would need for a short stay was in the house. Thank you 😊

A wonderful place with great views and lots of activities to do around. The property was equipped with all the essentials. It’s a nice place for family as there were lot of toys and fun board games to play for kids. There was a special treasure hunt created by the host which my son thoroughly enjoyed doing. I think finding the treasure was his highlight of this trip all thanks to the host for arranging it. It’s said that we couldn’t use the swimming pool as it’s only from 7 to 5 pm and we were out exploring the nearby places so could never make it back by 5 pm. But I am surely going to book this place again with a larger group just to enjoy the experience ! I highly recommend this place for large families as you would enjoy everything that this place has to offer and would not get bored a bit !

Really nice caravan, well presented and really clean and tidy, the park is a little dated but they have lots for young kids to do. We bought the leisure passes and did actually use them as the pool is small and not many activities for older kids. We left the park everyday to visit different places so if that’s what your after this is perfect

A glorious few days here! Steph's place: immaculate with thoughtful touches like tea bags, coffee, and sugar beside the kettle. Parking was right outside the door so easy unloading. I'm familiar with the area, I lived nearby as a child, we knew where the great walks are: when the tide is low, walk to the next secluded cove and back over the cliffs, also from Duke's Drive there is a footpath that goes up a deep wooded valley following a stream, eventually you come out on the hills above next to a wind turbine. And exploring caves just around the headland on the beach. I couldn't get a good wifi connection in situ, which was actually a bonus; instead of doing work and hobby stuff on my laptop, we had evening walks to the beach (a ten-minute walk, to watch the surfers in the setting sun). Cafes/pubs we visited all had good free wifi. Steph very generously allowed me to charge my car, which saved the hassle of public chargers, and she would not take any payment for the electric used.

Clean, stylish and spacious home, great for meeting up with family and friends. Nice location only a short walk away from Uplands and some lovely parks. Good garden for the dog. Flexible, helpful and responsive hosts. I would recommened to anyone, thank you! 😊

We stayed here for Swansea Half marathon and it was ideal location, literally less than 5 mins walk to the start/finish. Everything was clean, check in was easy. Linda was great allowing us slightly later checkout, thanks again!

My family and I stayed here for the weekend, and it was perfect for us and my toddler. It is a very family friendly house, had all the amenities you could need and lots of space. Very easy to find and check in. We parked outside on the street so that was handy too. Matt has thought of everything and there were lots of nice touches that made our stay extra special. We asked for some local recommendations of places to take our toddler and the ones Matt gave were perfect. At the house there were lots of ideas for local days out which were handy too. It is in walking distance of the waterfront and lots of places to stop for coffee and food. There was a park within walking distance which was also great for us. We would definitely stay again as it is great as a base as well. It’s so clean and in a really lovely area of the Mumbles. Thanks again for making

Owain's place is very spacious and light. The kitchen is excellently well equipped and the bedrooms are generous. The beds are really comfortable and there is plenty of hot water for welcome baths after our walks. We all really appreciated how accommodating Owain was in allowing us to gain access early to drop off our stuff. We were also very glad of a parking space, which was the envy of our friends who had places without off street parking. Owain gave us very helpful instructions and I found it very easy to communicate with him

Primrose Cottage was in an excellent location within easy reach of the shops and restaurants. The house was clean and well equipped.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Excellent communication from the host. Would highly recommend for a couple or small family looking for a short break.

The house was very much as described and the pictures definitely didn’t do it justice. There is ample room should 2 families be holidaying together, or as we were a group of single mature friends travelling together, it offered us everything we could ask for, we had a fabulous time and whole heartedly would recommend to you. The house is well positioned in The Gower, close to many beaches and places of interest within a short distance. Definitely a property worth considering if you are wishimg to spend time in this lovely part of Wales.

Great bungalow, modern and all as described. Very comfortable beds and TV’s in each room. The sofa bed for 5th person was the sofa, not a sofa bed really, which was ok for a child. The only downside was the floors they were dusty and dirty, which wasn’t noticeable at first. We just wore slippers / slides when in the house and the rest of the house was clean and tidy. The instructions and communication before was great, clear instructions and everything went well. Thank you.

Virginia has a beautiful place in Swansea, we felt right at home. She provided fruits, milk, tea coffee and cookies, really appreciated! Highly recommended!

Really nice and clean home in a very quiet area on a no through road so nice a quiet walk over the road and then your on the beach and a couple or coastal trails close by home had all you could need for a comfortable stay

My partner and I had a beautiful stay at The Cottage and have made some memories for life! This was planned for our 5 year anniversary and ultimately an engagement so this really was for a special occasion and it did not disappoint. There is a stunning private beach around 10-15 minutes walk down from the cottage and this should be advertised more as it is stunning. The living room/front garden was perfect for a bbq with a well equipped kitchen for cooking if needs be. Our puppy had a wonderful time and loved the space she had to roam! We are over the moon with the stay and we plan on returning in the future with a couple of friends for sure.

Accommodation and setting exactly as stated. Parking a bit tight but once again as stated prior to the visit, we found spaces for 2 cars on each day. Kris and Lisa were excellent hosts. Willing to answer questions before, during and after the visit. We totally recommend 'Milkwood' as the base for a super holiday. Many thanks Roger & Sue Butt

64 is perfectly placed if you are looking to get away from the crowds. It's on the quieter side of the Mumbles with very easy access to the costal walk to Langland an Caswell bays. Also very easy access to the Gower peninsula without having to track back through Swansea. There are some restaurants within walking distance, which are perfect for your evening meal. Stewart was always very responsive to any message I sent. The place itself was very clean and had everything we needed for the week we spent there. Parking was easy with 2 allotted spaces right by the front door. The beds were comfortable. There's a cafe about a minute walk away. With a lively view over the bay. We had breakfast there on the last day and it was very nice the bacon was superb. All in all, if you're after a quiet get away, with no hassle the combination of Stewart and 64 is hard to beat.
