Apartment holiday rentals in West Bay

I stay with family while visiting the island and place is in a great location 3-4 minute walking distance to bars, restaurant and great store to buy what you need on a daily basis. I will recommend this place and for sure be back later on when visiting my family and just to get away from work/relax. Thank you John, I will see you again!

I stayed for about a month and especially enjoyed the location, which is at one end of Half Moon Bay and very walkable. Susie was responsive and helpful, and the apartment was spacious and clean. I kept the windows open (during the month of February) and found the lovely cross-breezes and occasional rain allowed me keep the aircon off. The wifi was occasionally spotty but mostly dependable and I think we lost power one time after a storm but it was fixed within a couple of hours. I really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, which included condiments, spices, cooking oil and containers for food storage. Grocery shopping in the neighborhood is somewhat limited if you like to cook; be sure to stock up at Eldon's on the way. Also be sure to visit the Lily Pond restaurant, which is right next door. The ambiance there is unbeatable.

We had a great time staying at this condo, Caroline was very responsive and if there was a problem it was amended right away. The penthouse roof top was awesome for the sunsets and lounging. Caroline helped us in any way she could with what we needed or helped us find what we needed. All the rooms were clean and tidy, and there were board games when we wanted to stay in for a night. Extremely walkable to downtown West End, it only took us 10 minutes to walk to our dive shop, West End Divers. The streetlights were great on the road at night so there was no cause for concern walking home in the dark at night. Lovely area, and the security guards are very friendly and helpful as well!

Perfect for my family vacations !

We had our best stay ever in Roatan this year.. We have been to Roatan 5 times. Mission Gate is so convenient to everything West Bay has to offer. Walk to the beach, is just a short hop, skip and a jump. Our unit had all the amenities we needed. It was depicted well in the pictures. Check in and departure was very easy. We had great communication with airbnb and they welcomed us upon arriving. We had fast response when we needed anything. We look forward to spending our next visit to Roatan at Mission Gate 😀

Caroline was really great to deal with, instructions were accurate for getting there and getting in to the rental. There is a hill but well worth it for the view. Caroline was helpful even before we left home, she gave us information that was correct and we'll thought out. She even gave us a list of restaurants and things to do.

We love the west end. Jackson's Dive Center is nearby for diving at 8:30, 10:30, and/or 2:30. Woody's grocery store and many fun restaurants nearby. West Bay is but a water taxi away.

The house was exactly as described and the check in process was very smooth. Beautifully accommodated our family for the 2 weeks we stayed here. The location was perfect, walking distance to some great beaches and restaurants and for everything else there was the water taxi! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

The condo was very nice with great ocean views, being located right on iron shore. Great to watch the ship traffic during morning coffee or evening sun downers. Location is ideal - in a nice peaceful residential neighborhood, but only a 5’ walk to the shops/restaurants/bars of west end. Also, there are some places that are even closer (Stowaway, Paolo’s, Loretta’s). Definitely no need for a car (unless you plan on heading to the east end of the island…). Kitchen is well set up. Highlight for me was the multiple coffee prep methods (moka pot, French press, drip). Awesome to have a good cup of coffee while watching the cruise ships go by in the morning.

This is a beautiful area it is not directly in the beach but there is beautiful scenery. I am fortunate enough to have rented a vehicle for my stay I did have to have help finding the home from the nice employe at Kristie's over look right up the road. It was right next to the church I just didn't realize and there are no street signs so you're aware of this obstacle. The hostess was super sweet and helpful. on the second week she was nice enough to clean and change sheets and left me a yummy little banana bread surprise. The kitchen worked well I was able to have a fresh cold shower daily if I chose there is no hot water even on hot days as they utilize a solar water heater. I did love using the hammock on the porch it was wonderful. I do hope to post a few pictures of the gazebos at the top of the hill for land markers to notice where to turn into the housing development it is the second one for future guest usefulness.

Casa Namule was a perfect place for us to stay at. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth with no surprises. Always very responsive and helpful. We were a short walk to the beach and to the Clearwater Adventures Dive Shop (excellent shop). We really enjoyed the ability to walk to West Bay and West End from the nearby beach. There were restaurant options nearby. We would definitely stay there again and we highly recommend this place. Until next time!!!

We stayed 8 nights. I highly recommend this place. Great location. Beach is 2 blocks. Many restaurants are in walking distance. This Airbnb has a lot of character. High ceilings and ceiling fans help with cooling. AC's in every room cooled the place easily. Huge front porch with furniture and grill. Kitchen was well stocked. Caroline was responsive to all of our needs and questions. Good value for money.

Our stay was perfect! This was our first international trip with our kids, and we were able to take grandma and grandpa with us as well, and this house was such an amazing fit. plenty of space for everyone to have their individual spaces to spread out and get comfortable. The pool was a huge hit with the kids (3 and 5 yrs) - I saw them grow and become more confident swimmers in that pool. The neighborhood is quiet, but a 5 minute walk from the main street of West End and the beaches. Great restaurants available right next door, a dive shop basically right next door. Caroline was so responsive throughout the trip and definitely proactive with so much information about the area. She also connected us with a taxi driver who was very accommodating and wiling to take us anywhere throughout the trip. We were just blown away with how easy this trip felt and cant be more thankful.

MANGROVE DOCK!… a gem hidden away in West End! We have been to Roatan several times and stayed in different places. We decided to try a place in West End where we could walk to “town”. Mangrove Dock was perfect. A quarter mile walk to the best baleadas! Less than a half mile walk to the other places to eat. Lovely property very well kept unit nice swimming pool and a beautiful dock to look at nature. One big point was the patio, we were on the second floor was shaded most of the day with a lovely lovely breeze. If you want to relax and have a nice place to stay, this is it! Caroline is the perfect host. Very helpful with her instructions and directions and easily available for any questions. Highly recommend! ❤️

I really enjoyed my stay at Caroline’s place at Mangrove Dock Condos in West End. The location is ideal, with everything you want in West End being a very short walk (5’), but far enough away that you don’t hear any of the nightlife. Cafe de Paolo is right next door, and is a great source of breakfast if you don’t feel like making it. Other great choices very close by include Stowaway Gastrobar and Loretta’s Island cooking. But, the thing that really the location ideal is its eastward facing patio, which brings the tradewinds and makes it quite cool/comfortable. It feels significantly cooler than other parts of West End. In fact, with the MBR having a screen door to the patio, i was able to sleep 11/14 nights without AC. The condo itself is nicely furnished, and the kitchen is well stocked. It is really a wonderful place to stay for a family, or a small group - close to everything in West End, and at the same time quite peaceful.

We had an incredible stay with our three children ages 2,6 and 8. Kelly could not have been more warm and responsive and made us feel like our kids and their noise weren’t a problem. The pool area was perfect. Location so peaceful, yet so close to amazing restaurants beach and snorkeling but more than anything 10/10 hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt so safe and at home. They even offered to drive my husband to the clinic when he had an eye issue. Organised a daytrip for us and generally were so warm and accommodating which felt so nice and made us feel at ease with our kids away from home.

Unforgettable Stay! We had an absolutely incredible experience staying at Mark’s Place in Infinity Bay, Roatán! The location is unbeatable, right on the beautiful West Bay Beach. The property was spotless, spacious, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Waking up to beautiful views and enjoying morning coffee on the balcony was a dream. Sunsets are amazing at the pool. The resort itself is beautiful, with lush landscaping, a massive pool that winds through the property, and friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Having a restaurant and beach bar right on the complex with live music and fire shows was a plus and having supermarkets, bars and restaurants at walking distance with shuttle to and from the airport made everything super convenient. The host was responsive, helpful, and provided excellent local tips. I can’t recommend this place enough and would absolutely stay here again.

Patti’s Paradise was wonderful! From the moment we checked in we felt right at home. We loved the location, tucked in among the trees, peaceful and very private. We were visited by birds (and lizards) of many different species. We spent hours relaxing and dining in the screened in porch, and we didn’t see many biting insects, even on the beach! It is a bit remote, we would recommend a car rental. We snorkelled off the dock every day! There were many different species of fish and the coral is healthy and colourful as well. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed to cook and the house was clean and comfortable. It was great for our family of four to stretch out and have family time while still having our own spaces for privacy. The host was responsive and very helpful with any questions we had, and the self check-in and other instructions were clear and easy to follow. We are already planning our return!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at Serenity by the Sea! The condo was clean and comfortable with all we needed. It was the perfect location to walk to the beach, restaurants and activities at West End. The owners were attentive, responding promptly to all questions/concerns from booking through our stay. We also enjoyed time at the pool and meeting others staying at the Villas. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay in West End!

The best vacation rental we could have found on all of Roatán!

I have now visited Roatan four times and spent the last two in a unit at West Gate with Island House. I've done a fair amount of research and stayed in other places in West Bay. This is for me the best combination of value, location, space and quiet. I traveled with my wife and two adult children. The two bedroom condo had enough space for everyone to rest, socialize, but not be on top of each other. Island House arranged the transfers to and from the airport, and on the way we took the recommendation to stop at the grocery store and stock up, so we made breakfast every morning before heading to the beach. The location is a a 2-3 minute walk to the beach, while being able to relax in absolute quiet and security in the condo. We will be coming back to West Gate when we return to Roatan.

We had an amazing time in Roatan and Clelia's condo was the perfect place to stay. The view was amazing! We spent so much time sitting on the deck enjoying the ocean view. The condo was well stocked, comfortable and spacious. The little cafe 2 minutes from the condo was the best place we ate at and such a cozy atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again.
