Great place for a family stay close to the beach, playground and eateries. Basic bach style with all the essentials plus games, puzzles and toys for inside days.

Great place to stay. Cozy and comfortable, quiet at night and very warm in winter. Loved the artwork and decor. The breakfast granola was delicious. Within walking distance of Wellington CBD (Te Papa etc).

We had the best time staying at the bach, it was everything that we had wanted and more. We loved walking early and going for a walk along the beach then getting home and lighting the fire. The kitchen is super well stocked, it had everything you need to cook. Lots of books, lots of dvds, lots of games. We can’t wait to come back and visit again. Thank you so much for providing such a lovely place for us to stay on our weekend away.

The host is an excellent communicator, easy to understand instructions. The stay was comfortable, relaxing, and warm. Totally recommend if you need a little get away for the weekend.

We had such a relaxing and wonderful stay at Maureen’s Bach. Her home had everything we needed for our short stay, and the place was very clean. Thoughtful details like milk in the fridge, homemade shortbread and delicious coffee were much appreciated on our arrival after a long drive. Maureen also provided a detailed list of food options available in Riversdale, but we ended up using her bbq and well equipped kitchen for a lovely homemade dinner during our stay. I would highly recommend and would love to stay again!

Charmingly ramshackle - not luxury accommodation. Fridge a short walk up road. No WiFi. Beach not really swimmable but Castlepoint great (only 10min drive). A special place though - wish we had longer

The cottage was exactly as shown. Lovely decor and exceptionally clean. A very peaceful locality. A sunny deck for an afternoon wine,a very spacious lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed. It is only a 5 minute drive to Greytown . The hosts are very friendly but unobtrusive. We recommend this accommodation

Had stayed there before. Lovely pretty place with everything you need. We went to the balloon festival which was amazing. The morning we left the balloons came right over the property, very exciting. So close to Greytown with the fabulous book shop. Would book again.

A lovely place, close to the square. House was exceptionally clean, light and spacious - with a feeling of luxury and comfort. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the sun out on the deck. Peter was a great host and kindly included a very useful list of where to go for food and activities. Will be back again next year.

Awesome little spot. House gets really warm during the day and the open fire at night was a nice touch.

Great location, walkable to wineries and town centre. No milk provided, however shops close by. Was everything we needed.

Thank you for the perfect stay - Jude was incredibly accommodating for my wedding. Both the perfect place for our bridesmaids to get ready, and to head back to with my husband. It was so quaint and I loved reading about the history of the farm and the building too.
