A stunning property that is both quite and private but a quick ride into the city. Where to begin, this property is stunning, clearly pride of ownership is at the forefront of their agenda. The cottage is so well appointed and everything we could have imagined was there for us. Clean and comfortable is throughout this place of absolute serenity. The gas fireplace adds just the right amount of warmth and ambiance to a romantic evening. We are so glad we stayed here and would definitely like to come stay again. Top to bottom, perfect.

The beds were comfortable, the central heating was amazing, and the water pressure good. The ideal location to get away from any hustle and bustle, and to be lulled to sleep by the sea on your doorstep. We had a very peaceful, relaxing stay at Guthrie Cottage - will be back!

This is the most perfect stay in Welly! The views are unreal, and the place has everything you could need. The fire is lovely and any wind noise is fine, previous reviews had said the wind was very loud but my partner and I found it absolutely fine. It's super easy to catch the bus into town with bus stops just down the road. Cannot recommend enough, this place is lush!

We loved this cottage! It is small, but we knew that when we booked. It was just the right size for our family of 4 and had everything we needed. The cottage is beautifully presented and we loved sitting on the deck. The neighbourhood was peaceful and it's in the perfect location for a visit to Wellington. I highly recommend and would stay there again.

Gorgeous little cottage close to the centre of the city. Very tight driveway but great to have off street parking. Adequate kitchen to cook a meal and close to restaurants to go out. Very comfortable bed and great shower. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family.

This is a very nice and cosy place to stay. We are a family of four and all fitted in nicely. It was well situated close to shops and an easy drive to the aiport and the beach. It is very well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen and much more than you would expect. Even lunch wrap. The bathroom is nice with a good shower and a lovely bath. The lounge is cosy. We had a great stay and would stay there again. We met the hosts Hikaia and Wutee and they were very nice. I highly recommend it.

The cottage was a perfect, peaceful spot that was very conveniently located to the national parks on our list to visit. It was private, but only minutes from some fantastic restaurants. While the entire cottage was comfortable, we especially LOVED the couch. At the end of the day when we wanted to just unwind after our adventures, the couch was perfect. Deep and comfy. Great for sitting back and reading or watching a movie!

This would have been a humble cottage in the original settlement of Aro Street. It appears to have been completely remodelled and extended, to create a space which is a delight to discover. The roof space has been opened up to include a mezzanine floor with enclosed bedroom, as well as a double height space over the lounge. A separate sleepout in the small back garden provides a further cozy sleeping space for two. The main bedroom is the most spacious, and is on the ground floor, so does not involve having to negotiate the spiral staircase to the mezzanine area. A compact kitchen is well furnished with appliances, crockery and utensils. The cottage is located a couple of minutes' walk from a small but comprehensive supermarket, and the shops and small businesses that Aro Street is known for.
